I was with my kids and when we left my oldest (7) looked at me and said dad that guy really isn't nice and doesn't care about people. He's miserable. I called back to order roofing material after I saw what I needed. He told me I can't take an order I'm to busy, I will call you back. I never received a call back and never was able to order anything. It's amazing people still give this guy business. I know I'm not alone since my 7 year old watched him talk to a builder this way. Stop going here and supporting a person who doesn't appreciate people supporting a local business.

This is not your typical hardware store, and it is definitely geared more toward contractors. Either way, that had the few things I needed without running to Home Depot another 20 mins further away. I waited in line for 10 mins while they helped out co tractor customer order supplies, only to be treated rudely when I only had card to pay with. Like this is 2020 (2019 at the time) and you have the Visa/MasterCard logo on the door. If I'm inconveniencing you by paying by card, maybe you need to update your business. Either way, this place is right around the corner, and we probably would have shopped here more often if I didn't get attitude when I checked out, now I'll be taking the further drive to Home Depot from now on.

Kevin took me under his wing and explained everything, from what certain stones are typically used for to how some of them are man made (I'm a curious human). I got what I needed that day, made the order for delivery and went home happy. As they say, man plans and god laughs so of course I needed to move out the delivery - so I called them up and spoke with Gyda. What a pleasant woman! She was friendly, helpful and flexible. Even if there were cheaper places for what I was looking for, I'd go to J & J in Rehoboth.

It was raining, off and on, the day they delivered it, therefore Zi did not get a good look at it. I covered it with a tarp as I was working the following day. I used my wheelbarrow. The first load had me questioning what it was that they delivered. I filled the wheelbarrow again and spent more time picking sticks, over 4" in length, prices of wiring, glass. I filled a bucket with the junk I pulled out of it. I also noticed this "loam", seemed to be more of a sandy mixture. I attempted to reach out to J&J to ask if they "mistakenly" delivered the 50/50 mix instead of my screened loam. I sent a couple emails and something via messenger and I never received a reply. What they delivered seemed more like backfill from a construction site, this was not any type of good loam. I finally got someone to get rid of it from my front lawn as it was not usable. This was a waste of over $200 and they have a complete lack of customer service.

Lowe's Plainville, MA - Avoid for Custom Kitchen Projects…read more I hired Lowe's Plainville for a custom kitchen cabinet order, and it's been a nightmare. The cabinets (Diamond Cabinets) arrived with visible defects--splitting seams and separated miter joints. A base cabinet was designed at the wrong height, throwing off the whole alignment. This wasn't an installer error--it came directly from Lowe's kitchen designer. Customer service has been just as bad. I was charged for items I never ordered or received, and only got a refund after threatening to file a complaint with the Attorney General. After waiting two weeks for a Diamond rep to inspect the issues, the appointment was canceled 15 minutes before with no clear reschedule plan. Months of back-and-forth with the kitchen designer, department head, and store manager --and still no resolution. Bottom line: poor quality, poor design, poor service. I would not recommend Lowe's Plainville for anything custom.

I did not require any assistance, so I did not interact with any of the staff on the floor during this visit. I went to check the prices and the sizes of some storage bins / crates. Their selection was really good and their prices were competitive to other similar stores. I like their self checkout lanes, they make shopping and paying so much easier.
