One important detail I did not initially include was that the delivery crew used a refrigerator dolly to move my stove into my home, even though one was not necessary. My stove sits between two countertops, and during delivery, my flooring was damaged. The company denied my claim, stating that the damage appeared to be "fresh." Frankly, that explanation is both unreasonable and insulting. The tear is located in the middle of the floor where the stove sits. If I had somehow damaged the floor myself while moving the stove, the damage would logically be along the sides where the appliance would make contact--not directly in the middle. Instead of taking responsibility, the delivery company essentially accused me of causing the damage myself to obtain payment. That is unacceptable and not how customers should be treated. Lowe's, you should carefully vet the third-party companies you hire to deliver merchandise into customers' homes. Your customers trust that the people representing your brand will handle their property with care and stand behind their work if something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. This entire situation has left me very disappointed in both the delivery company and Lowe's. Based on how this claim was handled, I will seriously consider shopping elsewhere in the future. Lowe's Plainville, MA - Avoid for Custom Kitchen Projects…read more I hired Lowe's Plainville for a custom kitchen cabinet order, and it's been a nightmare. The cabinets (Diamond Cabinets) arrived with visible defects--splitting seams and separated miter joints. A base cabinet was designed at the wrong height, throwing off the whole alignment. This wasn't an installer error--it came directly from Lowe's kitchen designer. Customer service has been just as bad. I was charged for items I never ordered or received, and only got a refund after threatening to file a complaint with the Attorney General. After waiting two weeks for a Diamond rep to inspect the issues, the appointment was canceled 15 minutes before with no clear reschedule plan. Months of back-and-forth with the kitchen designer, department head, and store manager --and still no resolution. Bottom line: poor quality, poor design, poor service. I would not recommend Lowe's Plainville for anything custom.

It has been a nightmare to try to place an order. Calls not returned and order never placed. When calls are answered at the pro desk, they will keep placing on hold instead of talking to the customer. When I have worked with them, they have had terrible customer service. It's been a total waste of time, which is wild because they get credit and bonuses off the orders pros place and I have spent over 50-100k at home improvement stores within 6 months on renovations, so my sales are very easy for people to make money off of. Four dollars for each key is pricey then to need key identities for another $4. Two keys and key identifiers cost me $15. That's drive-thru food money.

Pickup is smooth and easy with Lowes and so is renting their carpet machines. The carpet machines are always in great shape and the price is pretty good imo. They always have clearance items too and so you can snag some good deals at Lowes. The crew at the flooring is always great, and we've had very good experiences with them. The older gentleman we usually speak with is a great guy and helpful. In other areas of the store, we've encountered some employees who seem particularly grumpy, always appearing annoyed when asked a basic question. Customer service and nicely organized stores are what set Lowe's apart from Home Depot, but overall, the customer service is the same in my neck of the woods for both stores.
