Wow was I shocked this store was packed with gifts , clothing & much more than cards . Words cannot describe the thousands of novelty gift choices and clothing & cards . I didn't take photos I wouldn't know where to start ? A must see if unique gifts wanted & a rare usps office that charges the regular usos costs .( ups charges double for one regular usps stamp ! I am a huge fan of Plunketts, when I walk through that door I feel like I'm family! I love all the sales, ladies and especially Karen. Plunkett is my go to office supply store always! If I need a gift or even a nice blouse, I can get it at plunkets and don't get me started on all their beautiful cards, and at the register they have individually pieces of wrapped caramel and chocolate with peanuts. Plunkett's appears to be a nicer version of Hallmark. They have a variety of office supplies, much more than I thought they would. Like there is an entire isle of assorted pens. There are also other various items ranging from clothing to yard decorations and some snacks as well as household items. It's fun to look at around and it's great for gift shopping. Especially for people who aren't native to Arizona or the southwest. My wife and I signed up to receive coupons, which is how we heard about the lunch event they had. It was all free but we had to RSVP to receive all the benefits. The food was actually really good and it was fun to be looking around the store while they held a raffle. I absolutely LOVE this Hallmark store! It is the most unique and interesting Hallmark I've ever been in. Besides having the normal selection of cards, gift wrapping items, and ceramic-like tchotchkes, they also have a FABULOUS selection of pens and stationary items. So many styles and colors of pens! It is a pen-lover's dream! They even have high end pens and "space pens". Besides the stationary, they have a nice selection of novelty items, as well as wedding gifts/accessories, and baby gifts/accessories. Overall, I find their selection of items whimsical and just fun to look at & buy. I would recommend Plunkett's to anyone! The staff is always friendly, as well. They're as helpful as possible. Sometimes it gets a tad busy at the register, so you might have to wait behind a person or two, but it's no big deal. If you're in the area, or not, go check this store out! read more

Overpriced, tacky - why is a stationary store selling so many clothes? Their card selection looks just like the one at the supermarket - worse actually. I went looking for a southwestern magnet - none to be found. Ended up selecting a candy; only to find it rang up at $2.99 instead of $3.99 & the clerk wanted me to wait while she "fixed it." As a person who prefers to buy local, I have been shopping at Plunketts Hallmark for several decades, mostly for my collection of fountain pens, replacement ink, and many years ago, their large selection of American's Heroes law enforcement and military figurines. Suffice to say I have spent thousands of dollars at Plunketts over the years, but sadly, today will be the last time I ever shop in her store again. Last Wednesday my wife and I visited Plunketts, and as usual, We were greeted by friendly staff and a very pleasant and helpful manager. I ultimately purchased another Lamy special edition fountain pen, along with plenty of ink refills. Meanwhile, my wife shopped for after Christmas items. After checking out one of the employees, who had earlier noticed my wife looking at a nativity set, told her to come back on Saturday, as all of the Christmas merchandise was being moved from on 50% off to 75% off. So, on Saturday morning at 10 AM we visited Plunketts Hallmark to buy the nativity set but noticed that none of the merchandise had been changed to 75% off. After speaking with two employees, one said it was 75% off they just hadn't changed the signage yet, while another, the assistant manager said that they had believed it would be going to 75% off, but the owner had told them not to do it yet. After she walked away another shopper approached us and said he was confused because a different employee had already told him it was also already 75% off, they just had time to change the signs. My wife spoke to the assistant manager once again to complain about the miscommunication between the employees and all of the other customers who were also in the store for the 75% off sale. The assistant manager finally told us that the owner would be here in a few minutes and we could can speak with her about the issue. Upon her arrival my wife explained the situation to her but it was clear she had no interest in resolving the conflict. She stated that while all of the corporate stores had went to 75% off today, she was a private owner and opted not to do so, So she had no idea why her employees would've told anyone that the merchandise was being marked down to 75% off. She accepted no responsibility for her employees telling customers the after-Christmas merchandise was being reduced to 75% off today, instead, saying she didn't know why her employees believed that to be true, because she has never marked them down until the middle of January, and besides, she never marks Jim Shore nativity sets down because then she loses money on them. When my wife pointed out that the nativity set was already marked down 50%, she changed her explanation to say she never marks them down below 50%. After hearing the discussion we were approached by several other shoppers who each stated that they too had been told by employees to come back on Saturday morning because all of the Christmas merchandise was being marked down to 75% off. They too left the store without purchasing anything. To say the management and ownership of Plunketts Hallmark has severely went downhill would be a gross understatement. I will however say that their employees are still consistently knowledgeable and friendly, it's a shame I can't say the same for the owner. Regrettably, I won't be shopping here again, instead, I'll save time and money by shopping at Amazon. read more

!!!DO NOT USE USPS HERE!!! This review is for "Melissa" who was working the postal services on Apr 12th. I mailed a large flat rate 2 day priority mail to Irvine CA on Saturday and one week later No Show! I called Melissa on Saturday Apr 16th inquiring about the package bc when I tracked it the USPS website said it was in Florida!!! Really!! You send a package from Tucson to southern CA through FL! It may not be Melissa's fault for the package being lost but I could not help feeling funny when I left the store. My 6th sense told me there was something fishy! But that is only my gut feeling. What made things worse is when I called her to inquire about the strange route she said "lots of packages will go somewhere far away before reaching their destination" I said but why send it to the other part of the continent when CA is right next door! She said " the USPS does that" I said but I paid for a 2day arrival and it's been a week and it did not arrive! She said " the USPS is wacky like that!" Really?! This is your answer to a worried customer who paid about $20 for an early delivery! I wonder what the USPS thinks of this customer service quality in this contracted location. The only reason I went to this location is because I missed the REAL post office by 5 min before they closed. I will never use this store or this post office contact location ever!!!! Take your package to real post office if you want to arrive in time or if you want to hear reasonable explanation for your lost items!!! read more

Well it's true what they say. One bad experience is all it takes. I'm not saying I will never go back, but it will not be for a while. I have been a customer for several years. I did 2 years of the Hallmark Christmas ornaments. 800+ dollars. I would not recommend going there to mail anything internationally !!!!!!!!!! First off the girl had no clue what she was doing. Then after I payed. I asked for my tracking number. Oh I'll email you it she said. My first thought was you don't even know my email. Which is exactly what I said. So I wrote it down. Then I said I think it's crazy that I payed and you can't give it to me now. It's because she didn't have a clue what she was doing!!!! Long story short. I did get upset and said something before leaving and none of them even cared! So then I called and asked when I should expect the email. The lady said 5 hours. Ha. When I finally got the email of the tracking number. I entered it into my Ebay account and guess what. The tracking number is not valid please try again. I decide to just roll the dice and hope it makes it to Canada. Now this next incident I let slide. But after how rude they were, I'm going to shared. I went into the store with my papered service dog and the lady told me to pick him up off the floor. I had to carry him. Now anyone who knows once someone says service dog. You are not suppose to say anything else. I did tell them he was a service dog! She said I don't care he can't be on the floor. They're just asking for a lawsuit from the usps or my attorney. I think I'll stay clear of the place unless hell freezes over. read more

There are lots of online invitation sites but nothing can compare to the selection and personal service that Plunkett's provides. I recently worked with Heidi and Sally to pick some invitations for my son's rehearsal dinner and I couldn't be happier with the results. They even found and corrected an error I had made in the date which saved me from having to reprint the whole order. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the invitation options; kept my budget in mind and delivered the product quickly. What a treat to find a hometown merchant that still operates with professionalism and personal attention. I would use them again in a heart beat. read more

I was quite impressed with how big this store is and all what they carried. They sell many different types of items not only offices supplies and hallmark cards. Service is very helpful and friendly. The store is very organized and isles are roomy so you don't feel to crowded which makes nice to walk through. I will go back again since I didn't see everything they had. read more

This place used to be my favorite and my son remember being there. Got great selection of gift ittrms too. But, I presume the owner, is very rude and more like abusing my son in there. She grabbed my son by shoulders and ask us to leave which we did. But some how my son is a little traumatised from her action of grabbing him. He collects many Christmas ornaments and check out before buying since he only gets about 5 a year. I know the policy of you break it, you buy it. But her reaction of this is way too unprofessional. Or may be she is a racist. If they don't want their customers to touch your stuffs, they should not touch other people's kid either! Not just touching but grabbing hard is an abuse! They should know that even parents can not spank their kids any more! Oh. May be she was just too busy being racist and did not see my son as another human being. There are three reasons to come here: greeting cards, upscale writing instruments, and postal services. Although the name says "Office Products", the office supply side of the store is limited to the sort of supplies required by your average college student, but not the full spectrum of supplies used in a business. If you truly need office supplies, you will find a far better selection at one of the large office supply chain stores (for example: virtually no printer paper is stocked here). What Plunkett's does have that the chain stores do NOT have is a fine selection of upscale writing instruments (ballpoint, gel, fountain, mechanical pencils) from brands such as Cross, Lamay, Fisher, and many others, plus all of their sometimes esoteric refills, which frankly, is priceless. It is the only place I know with Fisher Space Pen refills in stock, and with sales associates who will gladly sit on the floor in their quest to help you find just the right $6 refill. There is also a small US Post Office inside -- hugely convenient as there is often no line. Finally, there is a huge selection of greeting cards and a miscellaneous assortment of gift items, which I mostly ignore as not relevant to my interests. read more

Plunkett's is a delightful store. Besides Hallmark products, this store has the friendliest, most efficient service I have seen anywhere. If one person is in line, someone calls for another register to open. The shelves are packed with creative, unique, useful objects. I even bought a pair of sandals there that everyone seems to love. If you're looking for bric-a-brac, this place might be for you. If you're looking for personalized invitations, thank you cards or similar printing don't waste your time or money. Our daughter passed away earlier this year. I wanted a thank you card that was simple yet elegant. I found a design on another card they had on hand, but the font and print color was hard to read. They told me they could duplicate the card and include a personal message inside. I ordered 60 cards and it took four trips back to the store to get what I wanted. I should have learned... We established a scholarship at the University of Arizona to honor our daughter's memory and I wanted to send a thank you cards to the donors of her scholarship. I ordered an additional 60 cards that were similar to the previous thank you cards. I bought the last of the blank cards from the store and was told that if more needed to be ordered I would need to place a large order because they didn't place small orders. I ordered identical blank cards on-line and took 20 cards to the store to be printed like the others. I was told I would be charged a $25 set-up fee since the card wasn't from their stock (there was nothing to set up since the previous card was stored on their computer) and $1.00 for the printing of each card. Previously I was charged $.50 per card. The next day I spoke to the owner of the store who said they would waive the set-up fee, but would not honor the previous printing price of $.50 because someone made a mistake and then she proceeded to say "I hope things get better for you." Obviously the owner is not a mother, because things will never be the same. All said I spent over $150 on these cards and the store lost a customer over $10 on the printing. If you care to send the very best, stay away from Plunkett's -- they flunked it. read more

I used to love shopping at this store, but after my last experience, I will not be coming back. I was at the Amy's Hallmark in Park Place Mall and they were out of an ornament I wanted to buy my partner for his Birthday. They called Plunkett's and luckily, they had one in stock. I came here to buy it and the girl that day that helped me was really nice. On 09/26/16, my partner opened up the ornament and we found after putting the batteries in, the ornament moved but the music it was supposed to play didn't work. I called Plunkett's on 09/26/16 and spoke to a Joe. He was not very friendly when he answered the phone. I told him my situation and asked if there were any more in stock. He seemed really irritated with me asking to check the stock, then came on the phone and said there were some in stock. I asked him if he could hold one for me to make the exchange as I was not going to be able to get there until 5 pm. He said there were some and would not hold one for me. This was for a birthday gift and the fact that it didn't work was irritating, but I was not expecting to be treated badly over the phone. All the other Hallmark's in town have much better customer service, so I plan on shopping with them from now on instead of Plunkett's. read more

I always start and end all my shopping for any occasion or event at Plunkett's. I don't think there is a service or product that I haven't utilized or purchased over the many years I have been shopping there. U of A gear, printing services, baby gifts, over the hill gifts, breast cancer support gifts and cards.....oh and the card selection is the best! If you can't find the right card there, you aren't looking in the right place! I gift my children and grandchildren every year with a themed Hallmark ornament so when they go out on their own someday, they have a start of their own Christmas ornaments for their first tree!
