Unfortunately I only had about 10 minutes in this store (pure evil). I could spend DAYS browsing in there. Not just because there's so much stuff, but so much stuff I would actually want to take home! Wonderfully curated pre-loved items. Trinkets. Toys. Furs. Vintage clothing. traditional Asian clothes. The store was 50% off and I didn't make it past the register. I was enveloped by the jewelry options. The employee saw me pick a certain ring and even pulled out similar ones in different sizes which was so thoughtful. Not as cheap as thrift stores would be but it's a curated vintage store so the prices made sense AND at 50% off, I got my earrings and a ring for $30. read more

As far as SELECTION goes, Plush & Plunder is one of the best curated and ridiculously well-stocked vintage/consignment clothing and accessory shops I've ever seen. They have racks absolutely crammed full with very stylish and beautiful vintage clothing, everything from wedding gowns to silk jackets to furs and everyday outfits. Almost everything inside is wearable, none of the Yard Sale stuff you see in most vintage shops. Inside the accessory cases, you can find vintage compact mirrors, belt buckles, cigarette cases, and a wide spread of jewelry. This shop is literally stuffed to the point of exploding. If you have an afternoon in Hyannis and enjoy perusing vintage clothes, do so at your leisure. As far as PRICE goes, Plush & Plunder is easily the most insanely expensive vintage/consignment clothing shop I've ever encountered. Outside, they have a sales rack that easily entices you in. At first, the items I was picking up were in the $30 range: acceptable for well-kept vintage items... perhaps a little more than "most" would expect to pay for used clothing, but I was still in the game at this point. Then, as I wandered more, I saw the price tags go up and up, $60, then $90, then several hundred dollars, topping out on a vintage 70s lounge pant set for $600. No, I'm not kidding you. And that's just what I happened to look at. Perhaps it's because it's a vintage/consignment shop on the Cape, and they're able to get away with it, or maybe most of their business is in online sales, I'm not sure. Though I found several items I thought were very unique, interesting, wearable, I chose to pass based on the price. Wow! So much stuff! A lot of the shops on Main Street are closed this time of year, but you could spend a lot of time exploring all the treasures here! Huge assortment of vintage hats, clothes and jewelry. I especially enjoyed the vintage drink stirrers and picked up a few of these. When I visited everything in the store was 50 percent off and the owner seemed very willing to negotiate to clear out inventory. A must visit for the vintage lover! read more

I've been going to this store since high school (1991), and have always found my treasures here. Through the years I've found a 1920s flapper dress, 1940s velvet winter coats, 60s white pleated skirt, 60s vintage/mod Hawaiian a-line dress, silk caftans from the 60s fjr swanning around the house, and yesterday, i found a beautiful 1940s flowered dress with silhouette from that era. The prices for vintage are slightly higher but totally worth it. Uta, the original owner, attaches tags describing the era of the piece adding a contextual feel for each piece. I always stop in here when visiting, and I still have many of the pieces I have bought from here, even 30 years later! I hope Uta and here forebears will keep this shop going in the same vein for many years to come. Hats cover the ceiling and many are truly vintage, all the way back to the early 1900s; also jewelry that is really stylish. read more
