Long story. Tldr: sloppy work, don't listen to requests, seem to only crank out the same cut over and over. I called to set up a day of pampering: mani, pedi, hair cut, hair color, and waxing. The scheduled me an hour and half before close. I called back and demanded more time so they scheduled me an hour earlier. I explained no way they could even cut and color my hair but they insisted they could. I brought pictures of strawberry blonde hair color and short hair cuts. I ended up with blonde highlights and a hairdo straight out of hair spray the musical. I repeatedly told Vicky during coloring that she was missibg chunks of hair and that the peroxide level she was using was too low. Vicky had no clue how to thin or shape hair. Of course it appears they were all used to doing long hair trims with highlights or ombre. I had Juana do my nails and she did well but did not have the tools to do great. She kept pulling out tools and spritzing them with alcohol. Of course foot funguses can only be killed by heat. They had no drying lights and the massage was more like a quick lotion rub down. Not the quality I am used to. To top it off, they only take cash or check. So I wnded up having to ruah to an ATM to get cash because no one told me on phone even though I told them it was my first time. Not at all a spa experience. Price was okay. When I had called to schedule an appointment at the salon I didn't know who to schedule with so the woman on the phone asked what my hair was like. I told her I have a pixie with thin hair that needs a lot of texture and she immediately suggested Carlos as the person for the job. Carlos did a great job making sure he understood what my hair was like, and adjusting to how it needs to be cut. Along the way he asked how I felt with it, if I want more this, that, etc. I didn't feel like he was rushing through it, instead he cared to give me a great cut and great experience! I've been in search of a place that will provide an excellent massage. I work very hard and my body suffers from it. Therefore, every now and then I like to and need to treat myself to a massage. This place is fairly new to Midland and close by to one of the "best salon and day spas," in Midland according to a lot of the long time residents. I called yesterday and was able to get an appt. today with Linda. She was very attentive and takes her job seriously. I could tell she was concerned with whether or not I was enjoying the massage. As for her skill, the girl's got talent. The only disappointment I had was I didn't get exactly an hour and 30 min massage like I paid for. I watched the clock. All that being said, there were a few things out of her control that made the experience not as incredible as it could have been and those were the following: The Cons 1. I was confused on where to enter. Once I figured it out I found the receptionist's desk to be in an odd spot. 2. The area for spa treatments isn't in the most relaxing spot . The doors need to be thicker to block out the noises from the salon ie salon music, clients and staff. The Pros 1. All the staff were courteous and professional. 2. The prices overall aren't bad compared to the salons/spas in the area. 3. The rest of the staff all appeared to do great jobs at what they do. One stylist in particular comes from the salon nearby and does nice work with hair. When I'm ready for a haircut, I'm definitely going to give them a try. Went in for my consultation for extensions and thought my stylist and I clicked well. She did not have my color in stock so she was going to keep checking in the next coming week and let me know when they came in. She never called and when I called the salon the next week to get an update, I was told she would check in with me within the next few days. Never happened. Just disappointed because I was ready to pay upfront and (if it were even possible) have them installed that day. Guess my business was not worth the "effort" of searching for my color... I found them the literal next day on the website that was "sold out". I am very bitter but only because I was denied service that looked extremely promising. read more

Don't get your hair cut by Carlos unless you plan on paying $150 for something you didn't ask for. He's highly overpriced. Otherwise I've heard very good things about this place. Carlos did do a great job with my highlights, however what he gave me was not what I wanted at the time, and he ended up cutting off way more than I had wanted. read more

I've been here twice to see Veronica. First time she cut my hair no issues really it was a fine job. I scheduled an appointment with her for about a week ago, months in advance because she's very busy. I arrived for my appointment exactly on time. After checking in, the receptionist comes up to me and says Veronica is running 30-40 minutes late and that I could go and come back. Ummm ok, so essentially the time it takes to cut my hair is how late she's running? Why was I not notified? An appointment is scheduled at that time because it fits into both your and I's "schedule". As an experienced hair stylist when you realize your appointments are running late you or your receptionist should be notifying your clients that the day is running late and what time to actually come. I like how she charges people for not coming/cancelling however when she essentially cancels on me, who has time to wait another 40 minutes, where's my payment for my time? Additionally, despite bad reviews I've heard about her I decided to go. My bad decision. I accept that. I've had friends who've gone. She completely butchered her ombré, and when she expressed how she wasn't happy with it Veronica was going to charge her again to fix it. Luckily the manager refunded her as she is understanding how terrible it was and what customer service actually is. I've heard time and time again how rude she is. Now I've experienced it for myself. Maggie just did my shellac manicure and pedicure. She did both in less than 1.5 hours for 85.00. Feet look awful like a child put on the polish. Only time will tell about the manicure but I know in can get a better job elsewhere. Won't be back. read more

I was recently transferred to the Midland/Odessa area for work, The first thing I do when my job takes me to a new area is to Google my skincare line, Eminence Organic Skincare, to see if I can locate a spa/salon that sells it and to set up an appointment for a facial. There are two in the area that offer this product and Plush Salon was one of them. I went there to introduce myself and have a look at their facilities. I walked in, stood at the door for almost 15 minutes, yet no one, not one single employee acknowledged my presence! How rude and unprofessional! In contrast, the other spa, Glow Salon, was the exact opposite! It didn't even take 10 seconds and one of the stylists met me at the door introducing herself and telling me about their services. I need to point out that both establishments were equally busy. Plush Salon you could learn a thing or two about common courtesy toward potential clients! But don't worry about me, I'm now a Glow Salon Client! read more

The salon looked nice and had a great waiting area, which was a good thing since my stylist was 20 minutes late to arrive that morning. Her consultation was horrific. She asked what I wanted and I told her I was not sure exactly, and without even touching my hair, she said "I am going to mix up some color". My color is so wrong and looks so bad I am going to have to go somewhere else to have them fix this mess. Also, she charged me way too much for the bad color and horrable cut, which I have already had to have another stylist fix. Stay away from this salon! I made an appointment at this salon for a haircut after a friend recommended it to me. I called on Saturday to make an appointment, and was treated very rudely over the phone. When I was given an appointment for the following Monday at 9 am I was pleased at how quickly the salon could get me in. I took the rudeness over the phone as a fluke and oped my experience would be better at the salon. However, I was wrong. I arrived to my 9 am appointment to discover that the salon was locked and no one was there. I sat in my car for 15 minutes waiting until someone finally arrived. I went in and was informed that my hairdresser had not arrived yet. After waiting another 10 minutes (in which I was ignored, and whispered about by some other employees) I was told that my appointment would have to be moved to a later time. I could not do this because I was leaving for a trip at 10:30. I left without scheduling another appointment. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Plush Salon. Not only did the girls there seem both catty and rude, but the level of professionalism was nonexistent. I will not be recommending this salon anytime soon. read more
