He calmly replied, "personal matters." Instead of processing the request, the banker told him, "YOU NEED TO LEAVE," with no explanation. When my friend politely asked why, the banker repeated, "YOU NEED TO LEAVE NOW." My friend was shocked by how hostile and dismissive this was. There is no excuse for treating a customer this way, and the interaction felt discriminatory and completely out of line. My friends and I have been loyal Wells Fargo customers for years, and we have never experienced anything this racist or disrespectful. At this point, switching banks seems to be the only option.
