This review is not about this specific branch, but about Truist Bank as a company. Truist Bank…read moresystems for contacting anyone to help is set up so it's almost impossible. There are no customer service emails listed anywhere on Truist.com to send inquiries. There is an automated messaging system where you can post questions and in response they say you can check back in the messaging center for answers within a few business days however after numerous questions forwarded I have never received a response. When trying to reach a specific department, Personal Loan Department in my case, there is no option to leave your number in a queue where they will call you back and no estimated wait time is given. What you do get is an automated message that says "Thank you for your patience, someone will be with you momentarily". 3 separate calls and the wait times exceeded an hour each which is far from momentarily. When I did get to speak to someone regarding my personal loan I was told they couldn't assist me and had to forward me to the correct department which put me back into a long wait with no indication of how long the wait would be. Before hanging up the representative said I could find the information I was looking for online or go to a local branch for assistance. BOTH those suggestions were wrong. Going into the local branch I was told I could not access the information I needed online AND they could not assist me with this information and that they would have to call the same number I had been calling again putting me in a position where I would have to wait for an undetermined amount of time. I was amazed that a branch had no direct lines to call their own company for answers. By the time I was able to speak to someone that could assist me and provide me with the required documentation I needed I had spent between 3-4 hours on the phone and another 1-2 hours driving to, waiting and driving back from a local branch. How any multi-billion dollar corporation thinks that it is acceptable for a customer to spend 4+ hours to obtain one simple document is ridiculous. I've already refinanced my mortgage so I don't have to deal with this complete failure of customer service again.

I think I ended up waiting at least 20-30 minutes before someone helped me. It was on a Monday during the Christmas week, so I expected it to be not too busy at all...I was wrong. There were only two tellers working, and the other teller was new, so she was getting trained while helping everyone. I have no problem with that, but if you see that the bank is super busy, maybe just have the trainee watch you while you do the job, so the line moves. I would definitely not come back here at all in the future, I would just go to another Wells Fargo. Great service when I eventually got helped, but the 20+ min wait time really left a bad taste in my mouth.

I decided to go inside & had 4 people in front of me. I waited another 10 minutes & the line never moved. I was "greeted" by someone who thanked me for my patience & said the teller (the only teller working) was a trainee. That's why the drive-thru line never moved - no one was servicing it. Virtually only one transaction was being assisted the entire time I was there. They needed to just close down the drive-thru to keep people from wasting their time. Really, the entire branch should not have opened if they couldn't staff it properly. There has been a tremendous decline in service at every Wells Fargo branch I have been to. They often cite reduced staffing & closure of drive-thru windows due to increased online banking. I would bet that the move to online banking also has to do with the lack of competent service at the bank.

Parking is a private lot and pretty spacious for a bank. It has two entrances, which requires walking up a few steps. Drive-thru services is available, which consists of 4 lanes for teller services and two lane for drive-thru ATMS. There is also another ATM for clients/customers that decide to park and walk up. The staff here are friendly and greets you as you come in. Service is exceptional and swift (most of the time).

Since I met, satisfactorily, a specialist there a few weeks ago--she has "since moved on"--I tried on line to make an appointment to follow up. There seemed to be no dates open on the virtual calendar. I made an on-line appoint date, BUT IT DID NOT "TAKE". a DUD AI glitch. So I called B of A and was told by a human that no appointments can be made, because it is impossible to predict....and that everyone who comes in will be served. The time I had been served w/o an appointment was by the lady no longer there, and that was after a short 30 minute wait. Yesterday my dau got off work (she is swamped at work) near Lawrenceville with only enough time to meet me there and, together, meet with any specialist. I got there at 10:30, way ahead of time, just as my dau was getting on a highway to come down to meet me at 11. I was told by a lady at the entrance that there would be a 45 min to 1 hour wait, or even longer!, because there are appointments ahead!!!! I told her that I was told there can be no appointments. She rolled her eyes and grimaced, saying that was wrong. The lady immediately turned to a group who had gathered around her to meet with a man who had been waiting, because THEY HAD AN APPOINTMENT!!!! I phoned my dau and alerted her to return to work. This morning I got online to find a full service B of A near where dau lives. I read the reviews on that branch and could hardly believe what the reviewers suggested: don't go there. Understaffed and useless.

The bank contacted me to confirm whether I had authorized these transactions, which I had not. They immediately deactivated my debit card and instructed me to contact the bank directly. When I did, I was informed that they had until January 4, 2025, to complete their investigation and determine if Walmart would return the funds. This raised immediate concerns for me, as I know my debit card is protected under Visa's Zero Liability Policy. According to this policy, cardholders are not held responsible for unauthorized charges made with their account or account information, except in specific cases such as certain commercial cards, anonymous prepaid cards, or transactions not processed by Visa. Why in the world would Walmart be the one to decide whether my funds are returned, especially when this was a Visa card, and Visa guarantees my protection against unauthorized charges? As of today, January 23, 2025, my funds have still not been returned. I have repeatedly expressed to the bank that this delay is unacceptable. Most recently, they informed me that they now have until March 4, 2025, to resolve the issue and return my funds.
