I got into a pinch and needed to board my pit bull, Daisy, when the entire family went on a out of town trip. I'd heard good things, so I made last minute arrangements here. Since I'd never kenneled Daisy, she was never vaccinated for kennel cough. The staff said, "no problem! Who is your vet?" And took Daisy to my vet for the required shot. Their service enabled the whole family to leave on time without me having to make the arrangements. The kennel is very clean and the staff were fantastic. They greeted Daisy and we're kind and gentle with her. Upon pick up, the staff provided several photos of Daisy's activities with a detailed report of how her stay went. I was thrilled knowing Daisy was so well cared for while I was gone. Having never used a kennel before I lack experience, but I am certain the high level of service I received sets a high bar for any other kennel service to meet! read more

Joke of an establishment! They told me my dog would fight the groom the entire time and it would not be helpful. I was not allowed to stay with my animal BOGUS! My animals don't trust other people without me their because of places just like this. I'D wonder what they really do to your animals behind closed doors. I had called about a week and a half earlier and had made a reservation for my two dogs to be boarded there overnight. Everything went well over the phone call and the lady I spoke with was very nice and answered all my questions. She informed me they would need to call my vet to get information on my dogs for their stay but other than that we were set and reserved. So when we ended with an "okay, we'll see you next Sunday at noon for drop off, " I figured we were good to go. So, that day rolls around, which was our wedding day, and my now husband goes to drop off our pets before we have to start getting ready. When he goes in he is told that we don't have a reservation,but they do have the names of our pets and their information for boarding. Why they had that information but somehow missed the part that they will be being boarded is beyond me. When I asked the lady how that happened and why I would give them their names and info and not make a reservation, Her response was "well who did you talk to?" (I didn't remember, I made the reservation a week and a half ago!) Then she responded "sorry there's no reservation, and nothing we can do for you we're full. " so even if I did know the name of the woman I had talked to first it wouldn't have helped???? They were still full and not going to help us, even though they were the ones that dropped the ball. So we had to improvise, which thankfully worked out. But thanks to this business's lack of competence and it's employee's rude attitude about the situation we will not be using them in the future and be sure that everyone we know in Pocatello or traveling to Pocatello, knows how they treat potential customers. read more

We have been taking our dogs to Pocatello Pet Lodge for years because they offer excellent service and we trust no one more in caring for our precious family members. A couple of years ago, our 15-year-old lab, Cadee, began her cross over the Rainbow Bridge while she was boarded at the Pet Lodge. The staff contacted us immediately, arranged her transportation to an emergency vet, and offered as much care and comfort as they could. This was all after hours over a weekend. After Cadee passed, they followed up with phone calls and a beautiful sympathy card. We will never forget their kindness and compassion to our family during this difficult time. It is for this reason we will not board our dogs anywhere else but the Pet Lodge. read more

We have taken our dog to Pocatello Pet Lodge multiple times in years past and we were always pleased. We really liked the grooming report and boarding report they provided. The reports include how they behaved, any issues, and also who they were friends with. We also like the bandana they put on following grooming. A few years ago we moved out of the area. This week we came back and had to board our dog. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Pocatello Pet Lodge is the same wonderful facility we remember. It is a safe, secure location with warm friendly staff and great grooming services. I wish they were located in Southern California. We brought our very hair golden retriever in for a bath and a deshedding treatment. Everything about our experience was awesome! We were greeted by warm friendly staff who were excited to see us, and even more excited to meet our dog. He came home smelling fresh and his coat has never felt more soft and his beautiful shine is back. We don't have enough wonderful things to say about the Pet Lodge. I have been to the pet lodge multiple times and never had a problem until today. My dog and I went swimming and after that I wanted to bring him in to give him a bath. Upon arrival there was someone using the tub so I asked around how long it would be so I could decide if I wanted to wait or go home, I was answered with "Well I don't know she has another dog to wash". I then went home and waited a little over an hour and decided to call to see if anyone was using the tub before I went in. The phone was not answered so I decided to just go in. When I got there I noticed the front desk gal had the phone in her back pocket but wouldn't bother to answer. I then waited nearly two hours and whoever was grooming their dog had been drying their dog almost the whole time. I asked the front desk gal if she could maybe pop her head in and politely ask how much longer he would be considering I have been waiting for nearly two hours. She responded with "Uh no because I don't feel comfortable asking". I may be wrong but her job is to deal with customers and have good customer service and to keep things running smoothly, right? Needless to say I waited two hours just for me not to even have time to wash my dog because they were closing and the man was still drying his dog. I feel a solution for this problem would of been the front desk gal offering to call when the tub became available or even just asking how much longer the man was going to be. But she seemed too busy in the back of the building (we were alone in the store 90% of the time.) Unprofessional. read more

There was an employee present Stephanie. I get the deal with admin part first bit. That was not the complaint. And like I said, I was OK with not being able to go back there right away. What I am not OK with is someone implying that I am full of crap which is what the lady did. Yes you guys did confirm our drop off and pickup which was to happen in the morning. What you didn't address was your staff arguing with a customer when they made a simple request. Is it policy to be rude and condescending? Is it policy to ignore a customer's request? All I wanted was for someone to make a note for future stays to not heap the cat's dish up on the day she was to be picked up (regardless of when your staff is expecting the animal to be picked up). Seems like a pretty simple and acceptable request. Instead it was an opportunity to tell me I'm wrong. That lady wasn't even present when I dropped the cat off. I told your staff we planned on picking up late morning but definitely before you closed. Not that that has anything to do with my request but that is what the lady made it about. read more

Love love love Stephanie, her staff, and the facility!!! Our labradoodle loves going to Pocatello Pet Lodge! She gets so excited when we arrive and can't wait to get inside! The facility is top notch-- clean, welcoming, and fun for the dogs. They have a WELL SUPERVISED and SECURE outdoor play area and indoor play area. Our pup comes home exhausted and ready to go back another day. We take our dog for play dates-- great socialization with other dogs and a trained staff. All dogs must have current shots-- which is peace of mind. And, at the end of the day you get a picture of your dog at play and a report card sharing how your dog's day went, what she did, who she played with! Plus, they offer grooming services which we have loved!!Prices can't be beat! Try this place! Your dogs will love it!!! read more

I have taken my dog to Pocatello Pet Lodge for a few years. It's hard to find a groomer for Labradoodles in Pocatello. Anyhow, I've consistently had problems with staff being unkind. They seem to have a high turnover of groomers, which in turn usually leaves my dog with a poor hair cut, since the groomers are new and obviously inexperienced. That is all fine, but when my dog leaves with a crappy haircut today, the owner insulted me instead of asking how his cut could be improved. Terrible business etiquette. read more
