The cost is cheaper than Pods, and the fees are staggered, which helps out when you're on a budget. You pay half up front and half when the unit is transferred. The unit itself was very high quality, all metal. It was impeccably clean inside, which made me feel good about items like the matress sitting on the floor. I got the largest 8'x15' size, which is supposed to fit 3-4 rooms. I'm a single person, and I had a 2 bedroom house with no appliances. The unit was packed full. I'm not sure I just have more furniture than the average person, but I could have used the commercial unit in retrospect. I was very nervous about the transfer, because when the unit arrived I realized that it would be tilted to about a 45 degree angle when being loaded/unloaded from the truck. I had visions of everything I own being smashed to smitherenes. However, I followed Mobile Maxx's instructions, packed heavy items toward the back, secured things with bungees, and made sure the floor was completely filled -- and the unit arrived at my new house perfectly! Not a single scratch. Finally, I'd like to comment on the customer service. Every time I called the office, I spoke with the same person, which was nice. He was friendly and helpful. The company follows up to confirm the pickup and dropoff dates, so there is no worrying about whether they are going to show up. For both the drop off and the transfer, I also had the same driver. He was friendly, professional, and timely. I would definitely recommend Mobile Maxx to anyone who is moving and looking for an alternative to U-Haul. Why cram all of your moving into 1 day when you can use a mobile storage unit and load/unload it at your leisure? The 30 day date for MM was the same price as 2 days of renting U-Haul. It's a great way to remove some of the stress of moving.

I called the number on the receipt to find out more information and if the unit was still being used. The man on the phone was extremely rude, disrespectful and unprofessional, even though I expained that my questions were due to a death in the family. He accused me of "calling before" and that he "had already talked to me". I told him that I had not, in fact, ever talked to him and he continued to accuse me of "calling before". When I told him I had a payment receipt from the previous month, he said he had "no record" of this account. Look elsewhere if you're looking for mini storage. This guy was unable to answer simple questions in a professional and polite manner and I can't imagine how difficult it would be to deal with him on a montly rental. If I could give zero stars, I would. AVOID.

We sent a deposit with Venmo as requested by Robert. I received a call at around 8:40am on Saturday morning that did not leave a voice mail. I called and spoke to Robert who told me our crew was in Springfield and would be heading our way after they were done unloading. As the day unfolded the time tentatively changed to 1-2pm. I called a few more times in the afternoon and no one answered. I later got a text from Robert that stated "Let give them a call now sorry I have no service ". I never heard back until several hours later in the late afternoon. I received this text from Robert "We are truly sorry our guys can't make it to you on time today we was running behind and I was currently on the plane with no service. I can refund you your $20 to Venmo on Monday morning I can send it to your Apple Pay right now whichever one works best for you once again we are truly sorry!! " I requested a $20 deposit refund by Venmo on Monday morning. We never received a refund for the deposit. Unfortunately, we would not be able to recommend this company. Our experience was not good.
