You never hand someone a pistol or a semi automatic with a magazine in it without clearing it I don't care if it's brand new in the cabinet you drop the magazine you lock back to the slide and then you handed it to me anyone going in there be careful. I saw a customer yesterday. Unload a 9 mm at the front counter standing right next to me because he wanted to sell it. I felt very unsafe. I would not recommend anyone going there and I will never be back there again. One more note they're selling used guns at full retail market value with no flexibility at all to negotiate that's absolutely disgusting.

I wanted to get a drop in trigger on a firearm. The staff talked me into letting the smith do a trigger job - said it should be quick. It's been 7 weeks, I've called, and then stopped in after 6 weeks to ask the status, and if it hasn't been worked on to please return it so I can bring it to a smith who has time. The major disappointment - despite assurances the staff would contact the smith and give me an update quickly - after another 7 days waiting: Crickets - never got a phone call providing status. I called again today - got the same promises. I'm hoping to hear something soon. I realize delays happen, but leaving a customer hanging is just not courteous response.

But for the first time after Hurricane Milton, I was able to check out the new owner. They offered me one free range day to bring me into the store. I wanted a membership, but the membership agreement stipulated a one year term, with a $120 penalty for early termination. So what are Snowbirds supposed to do? They said their computer wouldn't allow monthly memberships and at $20/day range fees, it is impossible to make this work. They also will not honor prepaid range fees from the previous owner. High Noon Guns still has two locations after closing the Venice store. Sarasota and Bradenton. They are a longer drive, by far for me, but a much better value proposition.

However, he had an issue with the apt number on my license not matching the new apt number I wrote on the paperwork. So I simply asked he to either accept my supplemental docs or I'll just write down the old apt number. I moved apartments numbers on the SAME property! and Paul made me order an entirely new license even after I provided legal documents of the number change, which pushed back starting the background check for a week and a half. I forgot to add that he CHARGED my card for the the background check, then told me to order new ID. Mind you, I also ordered a Glock and sent it to a different FFL and it was a simple process giving listed supplemental documents. My second issue with this guy is that his communication is awful. I ended up having to wait an additional 4 days instead of 3 because "he didn't know when he was going to be back at the shop". Borderline unprofessional I WILL NEVER work with this company again, I would recommend you all STAY FAR AWAY, not worth the headache.
