I tried to locate it by the pictures that were on here, but they were wrong. After a long search that spanned about 2 days, I was able to find it. I will help you out, if you want to find it. It is located right across the street from 1083 Sunset Cliff Blvd. You can't miss it. Me and my assistant were able to find it in the dark. It is the one covered in bird crap. You cannot mistake it. There is a lot of places to park and get a good look. I would suggest getting there well before sunset because the parking fills up with all the sunset gazers. The rock had quite a few birds on it and is known as a surf break that produces 3 different waves. I do not know what attracts the birds to that specific rock. Some tried to explain it to me, but it was way over my head. I know that it is not much, but it is the little things that matter. It is not a long stop, but definitely worth a visit. A visit here should probably be paired with a visit to Sunset Cliff Park and a sunset viewing. I am really glad that I was able to make it here.

Why else come here, but the name is already intriguing as it is!!…read more Every visit to San Diego County I look to do and see new things and this was one of the new things I did my last visit. The vibe is fun but not too chaotic, and I usually find it pretty relaxing just walking around the area. There are a lot of restaurants around here, especially authentic Mexican restaurants, plus unique little shops and a lively atmosphere with live music and performances here and there. The whole area feels very family friendly, walkable, and parking and restrooms are pretty convenient too. They also sell a lot of random little things that are fun to look at. There's even one incense shop that I really like , the prices are reasonable and I always end up stopping by when I'm here. I just like spending time here. There are also quite a few nice spots for photos, so it's easy to just walk around, take pictures, and enjoy the atmosphere without rushing.

The shops have the most unique items, and well, the food we all know how good the food is there. My favorite restaurant is Casa de Reyes! They have really good margaritas there as well!! The best part is you can take the trolley right into Old Town. No need to worry about parking spaces. Since on the weekend it can be hard to find one. Definitely go explore Old Town; it's a lot of fun!

Given the right conditions, you can see a distinct green spot above the sun's upper limb, that usually only lasts for no longer than two seconds. It is even more rare, the green flash can resemble a green ray shooting up from the sunset or sunrise point. This sculpture is the work of Malcolm Jones and is dedicated to that phenomenon, but it in no way aids you of viewing. You will find it on the Mission Beach boardwalk. The piece is made of a solid cast acrylic archway that is supported by two concrete pillars. There is also a bronze plaque describing the green flash phenomenon located on the sculpture and another title plaque. It was made in 2002 and is in fair shape, especially considering its age. Some has put stickers on it and the plaques are show signs of corrosion. It is unique and I actually learned something new in the process. It definitely sticks out. I have come to the terms that I will probably not ever see a green flash. It takes masterful planning, precise timing, and patience. I have 2 of the 3 (you can figure out which one I am missing). Parking here is simple. There is a free parking lot right by it. You can park, get out and talk a closer look. Well, as with most sculptures that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. So, you may want to consider making this stop part of a larger itinerary to maximize your time and trip. The beach, a park, and an amusement park are in walking distance if you are looking for ideas.

Well, it happens at sunrise or sunset, right before the sun drops out of view or starts to appear, it is said that a green flash appears for about 2 seconds. So this SoCal local flavor arch is a tribute to those 2 seconds!! Don't blink or you might miss it, literally, lol!!!!!

Food: 4.5 Service: 5…read moreAmbiance: 4.5 I've been wanting to try Cesarina for quite some time, but reservations always seem to fill up, so I was pretty happy when I finally snagged one for a Wednesday evening! As others have mentioned, parking isn't the easiest since the restaurant is literally in a neighborhood. I came expecting that, though, so I arrived a little early and ended up having a nice 10 minute walk to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is so cute and cozy with lots of string lights and a really nice atmosphere. I was actually surprised by how busy it was for a Wednesday evening! We were seated outside, and with the perfect weather that night, it was a great setting for dinner. Our server was very kind, and so was the gentleman helping him clear our plates and take care of the table. Service throughout the evening was excellent. We ordered a salad, the Super Cioppino, and the Gnocchi, Porcini, Gamberi e Tartufo. We also received complimentary bread, which was good. The GNOCCHI, though!!! This was absolutely the star of the show. It was SO SO SO delicious and easily my favorite dish of the night. I also really enjoyed the Super Cioppino, but if I had to choose between the two, the gnocchi wins hands down. The pasta that came on the side with the cioppino was a little dry for me. The salad was good and at least I got my greens in lol. For dessert, we ordered the tableside tiramisu, which was both fun to watch and very delicious. We were also celebrating my friend's birthday, and they brought her some gelato, which was such a nice touch. Overall, we really enjoyed our evening at Cesarina. Between the cozy ambiance, wonderful service, and delicious food, I can see why reservations are so hard to get. I would definitely come back and look forward to trying more of their pasta dishes next time.

And now I get why they've been consistently booked, great service, good food and reasonable price point. We were seated outside on the patio which was really cute but be warned there are flies because they don't use pesticides. Decor was super cute and reminiscent of Tuscany, very colorful, bright and vibrant. Service a was amazing, shoutout to Josh for making our experience that much better. He was attentive, really sweet and thought of things before I even asked. For example, he brought to go boxes before I had to say anything, love that attention to detail! I recorded the octopus, it was soft not chewy at all with a slight honey flavor. The burrata with eggplant was also really good, simple but executed perfectly. All the pastas as cooked in house and you can choose they type you want for your dish. Also, have to get the tiramisu which they make table side. The mascarpone was authentic and overall the dessert was not sweet at all, we finished every bite. My only criticism is that some of the plates were chipped on the edges. Change them if possible.
