The rental process is fairly straight forward on their website you can reserve one before you go. I was on a spring cleaning rant and so I just called and they had the size I needed so I went down. You can bring your own lock which I did but the manager said you should use a disk lock. Since I was just storing some old close I went with my lock because the stuff isn't that valuable. Best of all if you check in on Yelp you get 5 percent off they don't advertise it so that is my tip. Also expert tip as for one on the edge of the building so it's easy to remember where it is.

Very expensive storage units…read more Their snow plows pushed the roll-up door to my unit off the track which now provides an opening at the bottom corner when the door is closed for critters to enter. Additionally, the off-track door also is not able to open fully, making it difficult to move tall items in/out and the door is also difficult to open. I asked them to repair it about 10 months ago and it still isn't repaired. They changed payment systems recently and instead of keeping everyone's auto payment information intact, they deleted all the information and are requiring renters to create new accounts and re-enter payment information. Now they are threatening to charge late fees saying that it is my problem that they deleted my payment information. Unbelievable, go elsewhere for your storage needs. EDIT: Within an hour of posting this review and debating with them via text about their new policy, I received a message from Silver Creek Storage stating that I am now required to provide proof of insurance. Very vindictive of them. I'll be vacating next month, good riddance to this place.

In Feb 2024 I called 11 different storage companies on the West side of Salt Lake valley. 10 of them would not tell me what their history is for raising rents on existing customers, and would not connect me to anyone with authority to discuss it. I had been renting from Extra Space Storage for 7 years, during which time they raised my rent an exorbitant 140%, but would never connect me with anyone to explain why. They are currently charging new customers 120% less than me. Bait and Switch! When I called Copperview, I talked directly with the owner, Jim. He explained that he treats existing and new customers equally when he his costs require rate changes. I talked to two different people who have rented from him for years, and they each confirmed that rates have risen reasonably, close to inflation. They are pleased with how they have been treated. I started renting at Copperview in Feb 2024 for the lowest rate of any of the 11 companies I had called, for my size unit. He and his staff have treated me very well. What is one supposed to say about a storage unit? It is a boring business. It is not exciting…read more They are not selling you a product that you can take home and wear or eat or admire. I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. The staff is available on a moment's notice- she's knowledgeable and very friendly & so are her furry co-workers! Can I just say that I love the fact her pups chill with her in her office, great company for the customers too. (I'm a animal lover... what?!?) The facility is a perfect location for me! The price is good- move in special was too hard to resist. One itty bitty thing that is a little tiny bit of a scoche annoying is the roads on site- (I know, it's not on level ground it's on a hill & the level is in tiers throughout to keep each unit level but the storage roads can be rough on your car sooooo DRIVE SLOW)- I'm completely fine with it (it is what it is) as long as I drive really really slow. Other than that- great place to use as off site storage.

The whole place is on a slope, which can be annoying or even dangerous when you are carrying lots of boxes and such. Especially in the snow. The inner hallway units are not too well-lit, but a great price. You can get two smaller units for *cheaper* than a single equivalent-sized outside unit! The high ceilings are also a good feature, so you can get a smaller unit and just super-stack everything to the roof! The place is not climate-controlled, or even 100% weather-proof, but still very good. I covered up my stuff with a tarp just in case, and the tarp just got pretty dusty over the course of a year. Automatic credit card payments are convenient, too.
