Juniper Village was the second place we considered and it stopped there. We love the setting of the location, easy access while in a beautiful wooded area, small and personable. The care is excellent, aids are friendly, helpful, respectful and courteous. When you walk into Juniper Village there is always something interesting or fun going on. The facility always seems fresh, clean and tidy and the staff personable and engaging. I would not hesitate to recommend Juniper Village at Forest Hills.

After being advised to place my mother here, I was completely unaware of how unprofessional the inner workings of this facility was. I cannot stress enough, DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! My mother was here for only a few weeks, and within that short time period, she was assaulted by another resident who was placed in the same room with my mother only three days prior. They neglected to have both room phones working, and when trying to call out to family, the woman tried to barricade the entryway to their room with her personal wheelchair. Once my mother had gained access to her room she tried to call home, when the resident came up behind her and proceeded to punched her in the chest... Prior to these events, upon this resident being relocated to my mother's suite, she had demanded that tv's should not be utilized. The staff do not monitor nor protect residents from these horrid interactions. Nor do they evaluate the compatibility for rooming residents together. Staff members yell at you when trying to report incidents. They falsify what is being reported without being present on scene during these horrendous acts. It is beyond shocking that workers who yell at residents are still being employed at this establishment. Management does not fall far behind the staff, as they too are unsupported and provide no assistance in protecting our loved ones. In modern times you are not allowed to simply assault someone and get away with it. They had no care in the world for what had occured, I only wish I had better advisement in choosing a location for my mother. Please be warned what can occur in this facility...

She walked into this hell hole 3 years ago now she can't walk at all because they never gave her the therapy she was supposed to get. They kept putting terminally I'll people on hospice in her room, repeatedly getting roommates that died and denied her a grief counselor . They refused to take her back after almost killing her . I got her things when I went back to get her mail they called the police on me because I wouldn't leave without it . I called first and drove all the way there and pos poor excuse for a human administrator had me removed . So they commit federal offenses as well . My sister also spent hours in spiked diapers because they were too lazy to take her to bathroom, force EVERYONE there to wear a diaper , continent or not so now she's got sores on her bottom that will not heal . The doctor sees her and shrugs his shoulders .This place isn't acceptable for dogs , never mind humans . Stay away . A horrrible dirty place

My husband was in the rehab section of Paramount of South Hills. He received excellent,…read moreindividualized care. Every member of his team treated him with respect and compassion. The entire staff at Paramount were pleasant and helpful and you can tell that they all enjoy their work and that they truly care about the patients. The nursing staff were excellent! While I hated for my husband to have to be there, the obvious dedication and compassion of the staff made me feel comfortable leaving him in their capable hands. My husband received speech therapy, and, in the short time that he was there, we noticed definite improvements in his speech and comprehension. Occupational therapy and physical therapy also were great--both in the services provided and the advice as to how to adapt his environment and his activities. The facility is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and the dining and lounge areas were comfortable and inviting. My husband enjoyed a variety of foods and was provided with alternatives if he did not want what was on the standard menu. I'm hoping he won't expect that same variety and flexibility now that he's home. If you are in need of a rehabilitation facility, I highly recommend Paramount South Hills.
