Very, very concerned. I called this place for the first time…read moreon Sunday and left a lengthy message with all my information on it. It is now two days later and they did not even give me a call back or anything. When I called them right now, being the one that initiated the second call, the mail that answered had absolutely no reason why they didn't call me back. The only reason that he stated was because they don't work on Sundays. I let him know that in psychiatry, any reasonable person would think it's extremely important that they check their messages when they come in having somebody on call to do that for their patients. Supremely important is that they return phone calls. Any reasonable person in my opinion would believe that if you're dealing in psychiatry, actually somebody's life could be on the line and you don't even call them back for two days. Note that I'm not saying that that's in my case but they have no idea who I am and who the people are. They are calling for the first time. For me to witness them dropping the ball this seriously, I'll be calling somebody else that shows the importance needed to do this type of work and to take it seriously enough. I offered him more than one time to give me a good explanation on why they never called back and he was unable to do it and only apologized. In my opinion, others should realize that they did this.

1 Star My experience…read morewith La Familia's parenting program was extremely frustrating and disappointing due to a lack of communication and follow-through. I was referred to the program as part of a CPS case and completed nearly the entire parenting course. I only had a small number of classes remaining after missing a couple of Zoom sessions. The instructor informed me that I could contact her by phone or email regarding make-up classes, which I did repeatedly. Over the course of several months, I made numerous attempts to reach both the instructor and La Familia's office through phone calls, text messages, emails, and voicemail messages. Despite these efforts, I received little to no meaningful response. I have records documenting my attempts to communicate. What makes this especially frustrating is that these classes were directly connected to the completion of CPS requirements and the ability to move forward with my family's case. This was not a minor inconvenience. Delays and lack of communication had real consequences for my life and my family. After months of trying to get assistance, I was eventually offered the opportunity to make up only a limited number of classes and receive a participation letter rather than a completion certificate. Considering that I had already completed the vast majority of the program and had been actively trying to resolve the issue for months, this felt unfair and unreasonable. I understand that organizations can be busy and that scheduling issues happen. However, repeatedly failing to return calls, emails, and messages--especially when participants are trying to comply with court- or CPS-related requirements--is unacceptable. My complaint is not about the parenting curriculum itself. My complaint is about the lack of communication, lack of responsiveness, and lack of support when a participant is genuinely trying to complete the program. I hope La Familia improves its communication procedures so that other families do not have to experience the same level of frustration and unnecessary delays.

She isn't pushy, but kindly guides you to better understand your relationship. In my case, I came to understand I was in a codependent relationship with someone who could never meet my needs. We were vastly incompatible. I ended up moving out and filing for divorce, and our last session with Kathleen helped with closure. I'm remarried now, and the difference between my last relationship and this one is night and day. Kathleen's insights helped me to reflect on myself and what about me had led me to choose my previous partner. These realizations led me to turn down people I might have otherwise given second and third chances to, and helped me to find my husband (the sweetest cinnamon roll of a man!). I would highly recommend her services. If there is something worth repairing, she can help. If there isn't, she can also help you reach that conclusion.
