We experienced a lot of turnover at a previous school while our son was on the LMP waitlist, but now we know exactly who will be there and that he'll be well cared for and loved each day. It's not uncommon during a weekend adventure for our son to ask to share something he's doing with a teacher. He looks at his teachers like family and is always excited to get back to school each Monday. The activities and curriculum are great as well. Weekly themes tie the art, science, and dramatic play together. The activities are creative and exciting for the kids, and he always comes home wanting to learn more. Covid has presented many childcare challenges, and LMP has navigated the pandemic incredibly well. They have been clear on protocols, communicated well, and we've always felt that our son will be as safe as he possibly could be at a preschool. We appreciate how seriously they have handled the health and safety of our child over the past 2 years. We can't recommend LMP enough and will miss it when he moves to Kindergarten this summer. They celebrate holidays, embrace diversity and inclusion, and bring so much creativity into the classroom. The spacious backyard is another highlight--kids spend plenty of time outdoors, playing, exploring, and enjoying fresh air every day. What I love most is the sense of community--parents are engaged, educated, and involved in participation programs. The indoor classroom was also recently renovated and is bright and clean. DM requires 20 parent involvement program (PIP) hours per family each year. The PIP hours encourage community at DM and I've gotten to know other families at the school as a result. There are opportunities to earn PIP hours by serving on the board, cleaning the yard & school, baking, sewing, laundry, arts/crafts, or even showing up to events!

I received thoughtful feedback from the teachers and program director during my child's time there. This is also a place that is incredibly accommodating and helpful for working parents - they have great hours and limited closures during the year. I knew my child was always safe and getting the best care!

Sara the owner will gaslight your child before they take anything serious other than protecting her business. In it for the money, not for kids. Said my son was a liar for communicating the way his four year old brain knows how. She shouldn't be involved in childcare. She's a business owner & that's it, she needs to be in another industry. In the video where my son got hurt, an employee walks past as my son holds his eye and somehow no one noticed. No one investigated camera footage or filed injury reports or told his dad or me until I said something the next day (even though his eye was visibly red.) My son crawled towards a kid who accidentally poked his eye. Sara the owner said either my son poked himself or this other child did, because my son fast crawled towards him to headbutt him. My son crawled normally towards him and was clearly not trying to headbutt him, he was acting as a four year old would, going up to someone to play. His eye got poked and she was turning it around on my son as if it's his fault, rather than being a mature adult. He is four years old. The owner Sara said all these kids are like her kids, but she spelt my sons name wrong & I have never seen her. She said think about the other child and his mom, what about my son- the one who got hurt? No one said they were sorry my son got hurt or hoped he was okay. She disenrolled my son without ever asking about my sons eye. She does not care about a child more than her business. During the time he went there my son told me that he plugs chargers in the wall and that his teacher told him he will be fat if he doesn't workout. Other situations would happen and I would ask about them, not accuse. I would tell them what my son would tell me and ask about it. Every time I'd be told that "they didn't see or hear anything like that happen." Somehow no one sees or hears anything here. It's clearly a communication problem and/or not paying attention. I got attitude from his teacher before too, and when I brought it up it was just denied.

There is low staff turnover, which means the teachers who are there know what they are doing and love what they do. The environment is warm and inviting and the children's minds are stimulated with different activities. By the time your child is through, he/she will be able to read the alphabet, a few words, and write his/her full name, along with other things. This place really has the right balance between academics and letting kids simply enjoy being kids. The staff really helps support you through those milestones (potty training, etc.) and does a good job re-directing "naughty" behavior. My son is sweet, but very energetic and they did a terrific job helping him to focus and work as well as learn good social interaction skills. What can I say? This place is a gem and I am very, very grateful that my son spent the first years of his life at Land Park Infant Center and Preschool.

She is not quick to yell angrily or reprimand in a negative way, she asks questions to the children and encourages comprehensive thinking in their own. I was lucky enough to observe nap time and the entire experience is really relaxing (I almost fell asleep myself!) haha There are sounds of nature while the kids sleep and all the children have their own mats and individual space. The cleanliness is great, they've been implementing cleaning measurements because of the crazy talk of corona virus going around and I appreciate the proactive ness of the staff and how they take it seriously.
