They are really friendly and helpful, unlike TSB. I signed up for the UPS service but prefer to use the Point Roberts Parcel Service because I like the senior lady who works there most of the time. She always has interesting comments about almost anything and I look forward to going there to get my parcels. read more

Update: I have been chatting with Christy and she offered to bring me my parcels ! I said no thanks (that's too much!) but I will be picking them up without the charges which is great :). I've been back and they've been great and throughtful Oh McFrugals... how I used to love you.... 2-4 years ago, i had the BEST experiences here. They were always so nice and friendly and helpful. Recently though, I had a few times where I went and the person working was annoyed and scolding people. It was never to me and we had a good relationship with them. One day the person working there yelled at my mom that I left a package there for months. I was confused. I had ordered something in July, all my packages had arrived, and I picked them up at the end of July. Turns out they FORGOT to give me one of my packages and the lady yelled at my mom for her own mistake! I then got a series of rude emails telling me I owed 18$ US. The owner Christy, somehow got wind of the emails and apologized. She was really lovely and they reduced the fee to 6$. Not wanting to fight, I said ok and paid 6$ to get my package I should have been given in July. I didn't use the service for a long time and then I decided to give them another chance. My dad offered to go pick up my packages for me. This time they gave him all the packages but they held TWO back. When I wrote to inquire about the missing packages i got another rude email about how I owed money for the packages that they held back ! I'm done with the rudeness and even though there are still nice people that work here, I can't support a business that takes extra money by changing late fees for packages they never gove read more

Another player in the US parcel delivery service to serve Canadians who cannot get hold of certain products outside of the USA. Relatively new, compared to the others on this tiny peninsula of land and currently is the most inexpensive as of the date of this review. $3 USD per package if you pick up within 2 weeks email notification. Located in the back end of a building, and you enter from the rear. Go online, sign up, follow the instructions for the address, bring ID and completed waiver form when you pick up your first parcel. $3 USD, or CAD + exch, or CC. Done. The only drawback is that a lot of people know about these services and the border lineup can get horrendous. read more

I moved here when TSB Point Roberts raised their rates recently. What I love: -open even on Sundays, they have days wherein they're open till 8pm too -accepts Canadian currency and cc (like TSB) -emails you immediately when package arrives (went here twice already) -friendly service -2.50 usd/per package and they hold it for 14 days without extra! I've tried all* the parcel receiving services in Point Roberts and I think McFrugal's gets my blue ribbon. Hours are great, notifications arrive like clockwork, pricing is very reasonable, and service is prompt and friendly, almost bend-over-backwards. Tidiest and roomiest package opening area I've seen; even a place to sit down. Lots of parking. It's kind of hard to compare the various services, but I think the most important distinguishing features are attitude, hours, and "is this a parcel small or medium?" I'm astonished at how bad attitude is in some of the other receiving offices. I suspect this is a very difficult business to be cheerful in because I think the clientele is often rude, demanding, and irresponsible (especially with disposal - I don't know why so many people don't take their packaging home), which may be why some other receiving offices act like drill sergeants, post angry signs, and put customers down. It may get harder the higher the volume of business they do. McFrugal's, in contrast, is a place of mutual respect and appreciation, and thus like a breath of fresh air. The only downside is that it's not close enough to the border to walk across if the line-up is long. So I put my bike in the car, and if the line-up is too long I just ride across (as long as my purchases can be carried on the bike). And an extra up-side is that McFrugal's shares the building with Auntie Pam's general store, so I can fuel the ride back to the border with some Trader Joe's chocolates. *have to admit I haven't tried the automated place, so best of the in-person services. read more

Probably one of the best-kept secrets in the Point, but not much longer. I've been using McFrugals as my pickup place before they became popular. Christy and Joanne are an absolute treat to deal with. They are flexible and do a great job putting customers first. It's a bit of a drive since it's on Gulf Road (take a right after passing the supermarket and gas station), but well worth it because of ample parking, no lineups and great service. These are the most wonderful human beings on this earth. i wouldn't have put them that high on the pedestal until 2 weeks ago when i went down to pick up a couple of boxes that i had ordered on amazon. i was running back to my car when i tripped over the curb and was seeing stars. joy and her grand daughter were all over me helping me up called an ambulance. the ambulance driver wanted to take me to Blaine Washington hospital but i kept insisting that i could drive. joy drove me to delta hospital and her granddaughter drove my car to delta hospital. they stayed with me for about an hour to make sure that i was taken care of. these are beyond what i would ever expect most people to do help another human. but i must say they are friendly fast personal and just i can not say enough nice things about them. timothy michael killen read more

Better pricing than TSB, good service, limited lineups, OPEN SUNDAY OMG! They don't have the outgoing Fedex/UPS/USPS services but if you already have those courier packages prepaid, you can drop it off there for pickups. Did I say OPEN SUNDAYS? read more

The lady proprietor is very nice and friendly. Service is great. Hours are very good (open Sunday's). Clean store and amenities. Parking is great. Never a line up. A bit off the beaten path but well worth the extra 1 min of driving. read more

I used to go to TSB Shipping but now I go next door to McFrugals because the people here are really down to earth and because their prices are lower. They're super nice and Joy always remembers my boyfriend's and my name. They're funny, talkative people that I love visiting after getting bit by the shopping bug. Great friendly efficient service. When I signed up I received a quick reply with clear instructions how to get parcels sent without any potential problems. When my parcels arrived I received prompt email. And when I picked the parcels up I was met with very friendly service. As it turned out, my parcels did not contain any invoice, so they let me use their internet to download an invoice then they printed the invoice and refused any payment for it. I was very impressed. Maybe other places offer service that is as good, but it couldn't be better than what I found here. read more

Very nice, super freindly! was not even charged to pick up the letter becase I didn't haev any change on me and the lady didn't want me to have extra charges for using my card just to pay a dollar. Was really impressed with how friendly and fast the service was. Even if they were more expencive than the others (they are cheaper now) I would still move my business to them. 5 start, no doubt! read more

I took 3 boxes in last week to ship and was refused service. I was the only customer in the store and was told she was too busy to help me and suggested I go else where. So I did and I won't go back. I'm not sure I would trust my packages to that type of attitude, maybe they will ship maybe they won't. The woman working that day certainly didn't care. read more
