If I could give Blaine Postal Center on Peace Portal Drive 10 stars, I would. Lyle and his crew consistently go over and above excellent customer service. I discovered them in 2013 when we bought a house in Semiahmoo. What a treasure to find! They never charged me for supplies I needed or extra fee for holding a parcel I was expecting. They found used boxes for me for my packing and moving, and always provided friendly service. The four women there are beyond exceptional and always made me feel welcomed and appreciated. There is absolutely no comparison with the Blaine UPS store, which charges much higher shipping costs (at their whim; not UPS), blames the customer for their manager and staff errors, and engages in "We are right; you are wrong" attitude. I refuse to even go into the UPS store under the change of management a number of years ago. Maybe okay for a pre-paid quick drop off (like Comcast equipment); but not for service for your own shipping. Blaine Postal Center, you are the BEST! Been using since the closure 5D Package. No complaints so far, but the location is a bit out of the way from the boarder. A couple of updates since the last review posted: Oct 2023 Due to the overwhelming number of packages we are receiving, we are going to have to move to a "tiered" membership system. Memberships are still FREE (just paying the per package rate), but the pick up time is going to have to be moved to 30 days. We will still have the option to keep packages here for 90 days, but there will be a membership fee of $24.00 per year. By default, your account will be put on the free 30 days pick up period. If you would like to opt in to the 90 day pick up with the membership fee, please reply to this email and let us know. This policy will be enacted October 1st 2023. Any packages that are already here WILL be subject to this so please make the necessary arrangements if you do not want to incur any late fees. April 2023 Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, we will have to raise our package receiving prices for the first time in 12 years. These prices will go into effect starting in April: 0-24 lbs $3.00 25-49 lbs $4.00 50-99 lbs $6.00 100+ lbs $15.00 Pallet $25.00 We will continue to have NO annual fee! The Blaine Postal Center represents a strong choice and it's a good thing they do, particularly with the closure of many similar outlets in Blaine due to COVID restrictions. === 2. SERVICE If you need to send something, simply drop by and they'll help you with all of the major vendors (FedEx, USPS, etc.). If you need to receive something (e.g. if visiting from Canada or if you're living in the area and not feeling comfortable with packages sitting out in the open), then they handle that as well. It's comparable to all other locations where it's weight-based, starting at $2.50 for a package up to 24lbs in size. Simply set-up an account with them on their website and they provide the account number in as little as an hour! === 3. CUSTOMER SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT The staff have always been courteous and great! Payment can be made in cash or credit card. It's a relatively small place: the front, customer-accessible location is used to store outbound packages and large packages that customers have received. There is a back to the shop which seems to be used for smaller items that customers have received. Just inside the door are a couple of large recycling bins which are great - you can remove any received goods from their package and recycle those materials before loading your vehicle. Speaking of vehicle, parking is always plentiful out front and around the side of the building. read more

The absence of competition has led to a decline in the quality of BPC's services. Their customer service, which was once exceptional, has now become poor. When there were many competitors in the area that did not charge an annual fee, BPC was great. However, now that they are one of the few parcel redirects without a fee, they're no longer customer oriented and their rates have increased. It may only be a matter of time before their customers decide to pay the annual fee and switch to another provider and they close down, especially when the current exchange rate is close to 40% higher to buy in the US. read more

I used this service for the first time recently, for 3 small packages. Easy to sign up. Prompt notification of arrival. Efficient, friendly service when I picked up. This place is a short drive south of the main part of Blaine, on Peace Portal, a low traffic area, no big trucks, easy to find, with ample parking. Highly satisfied. read more

Never thought I'd enjoy going to a parcel pick up place till I came here and met Lyle and Staff. Everyone of them is great, seriously. Pros: * Open on Saturdays and later on weeknights * Super friendly, kind, understanding and cheerful staff * They might stay open for an extra 5 mins after closing hours if your passed the border and almost there. * They let you use their scissors, exacto knives, pens and etc at no additional cost, and don't change annual fees on top of pick up fee unlike At the border mail, which I unfortunately used before. ~During border shut down (covid)~ * Boss Lyle is allowing items to be stored there till borders open again, with no additional fees. *Unlike 99% of other postal centers, Lyle is NOT shipping it (back to sender) after your 30 days pick up grace period is up. *He even offers new service of shipping items stuck there to you in CANADA *obviously you have to pay the shipping fee. There might be a service fee too but I don't know.* Don't quote me on it, but judging by the other fees he charges I don't expect it to be an unreasonable amount. If your unsure check it out yourself. Just give it a try at least once and you decide for yourself, I'm sure you'll be pleased. read more

I have used a few receiving houses for my mail over the years being a Canadian who loves to shop in the US - BPC is BY FAR the most helpful and cost efficient shipping house in the Blaine area - not only for receiving but also for shipping out! I have been a faithful user since 2017 and even though I have moved further from Blaine with other shipping places closer, I still make the additional drive to continue using their services. The customer service is top notch and will keep me coming back for years :) read more
