The idea of this project is basically to provide the specialty food producers of Sydney a retail outlet. The emphasis is on sustainable, locally made and locally grown food. Real Food Projects is a community of chefs, artisans, urban farmers, sustainability campaigners, and foragers. Right now they have kitted out the space with gorgeous rustic recycled furniture, have some veggies - e.g. beans, eggplant & corn, and a lot of gorgeous looking things in jars: honey, chutneys, soups, jams, pickles, olive oils, vinegar, cordial, muesli, tea, etc. You can also buy fresh pasta and truffle oil stuff. It's a delightful little shop, though hard to find price tags on the goods, and a little bit of shock when you realise some of the goods are on the pricy side.
