We had to choose from the Christmas menu but their year round menu is much more extensive. They have a fairly good vegetarian selection as well as plenty of dishes for meat and fish lovers. Their pizza is delicious as is their garlic bread. The restaurant is quite large and can cater for quite a number of people. They also have a seating area outside overlooking the river which is a nice setting on a summers day, be it lunchtime or evening. The prices of the dishes were quite reasonable and so maybe it will attract loads of customers from all walks of life and would be very popular with students looking for a simple food with home-cooked touch. The resturant serves halal food and no alcoholic beverages, but it would have been ideal if they displayed the Halal logo outside as otherwise people have to keep guessing. There is no special set meal for a small child, but most of the dishes seemed very mild and low salted. The place is new and so it was very clean too, but I think the serveing people were doing a good job of tidying and cleaning around. The waiting time between ordering and being served was about 15 mins(for the 6 of us) ..and nothing turned up raw ..so I'll ahve to give that extra points.. nice place to take ones family for dinner/lunch I suppose.

The dessert, they asked for ice cream with it, they did not receive and felt too awkward to address the waitress. The staff in general we're ok, but not the most welcoming. The ambience was fine, typical restaurant vibe. They will not be returning.

Two stars for the food…read more Service was very poor. Eastern European waiting staff speaking bad English made it very hard to get precisely what you wanted. A pint of lager and lime came up as a shandy. Upon telling the waitress that this wasn't what I ordered, her blank expression told me that I wouldn't get what I wanted even if I drew it on a piece of paper. In the death, the closest I got was a pint of lager with a teapot full of lime. My wife ordered a lemonade spritzer and then told the waitress to just bring the wine as there was some spare lemonade on the table. What did she get? A lemonade spritzer PLUS another bottle of lemonade. The menu said 'ice cream with fresh strawberries'. Frozen strawberries in ice cream would have been more exact. When pointed out to the waiting staff, once again, blank expressions. There is a plethora of eateries to choose from in Rayleigh. Fortunately, the company that we were in made up for the extremely poor service. I did not leave a tip and will not be returning.
