The name is a bit confusing, the Polish Art Center sells Polish imported items, and is not a type of community center. And it worth checking out, both for gifts and just to window shop. They have Polish foods and candy, ceramics, books. apparel and tchotchkes. I stopped by in December and they have a lot of ornaments. I will note they are pricey, I'm guessing this is due to the import costs. Worth checking out!

My brother and I visited Detroit this past weekend and stayed in Hamtramck, which has a really interesting history as a diverse immigrant community. In the past, the city was very Polish, and now it's the first city to have a majority-Muslim population! Since we were staying in Hamtramck, we wanted to explore it as well as Detroit. So we spent a few hours walking, shopping, and eating in Hamtramck. We stopped into the Polish Art Center for a little shopping. And I'm glad we did! What a fun store. It has Polish everything: amber, stoneware, t-shirts, books, Pisanki (eggs), and more. Tchotchkes galore! I walked out with a stoneware bowl, a wooden egg, and some pierogi socks. The store is beautiful and well worth a visit!

Fantastic store, plenty to look at and awesome gifts for all. The owner is nice and knowledgeable! I will be back with friends and I have to check out the museum next door as well. Thank you :)

I was shopping online for some Pysanky merchandise and ran across the Polish Art Center and almost placed an order when I realized they were just a few miles from me down I-75! Ah, the joys of living in a culturally diverse area! So I took my Polish mother (along with my son and stepdad) to take a look around. The shop was bigger than I anticipated (I uploaded a photo of one half of the first room). They have books, videos/DVDs, tapes/CDs, food, candy/chocolate, clothing, artwork, ornaments, Pysanky, jewelry, toys, glassware, and more! Every direction you looked there was something neat to look at. All three women who we saw working were extremely helpful. I was interested in Pysanky books and didn't see them on the shelf, so I asked and she said they usually keep them in the back (generally only displaying them for Easter) so she brought out a stack for me to look through. I didn't see the other item I was looking for (an electric kistka) so I asked and within moments, I had one in my hand. They answered all our questions, chatted with me about my son, and even talked with my mom a bit about her Pysanky. It was like talking with family. And then as we were about ready to leave, my stepdad asked for recommendations for Polish sausage, and received directions to a nearby market...so we also came home with sausage...which we will be eating for dinner in about an hour! I highly recommend this place, and will definitely go back if and when I need a Polish fix. ETA: Here is the list of offerings from the back of their business card (also uploaded to photos): Lead Crystal, Wooden Carvings, Wooden Boxes & Plates, Candy, Puzzles, Posters, Chess, Toys, Rosaries, Crosses, Holy Cards, Music (CD/DVD/Video/Classes), Boleawiec Stoneware, Folk Costumes, Stacking Dolls, Amber Jewelry/Candles/Trees, Christmas Ornaments, Oplatek , Paper Cut Outs, Wooden Eggs, Greeting & Note Cards, Maps, Flags & Windsocks, Stickers, Mushrooms (Pickled & Dried), Pisanki & Scrapbook Supplies, Pierogi Soap, Party Supplies, Regional Folk Dolls, Books ETA: Their business card says their Sunday hours are for Winter only, but I asked and the woman said that after Thanksgiving they might have longer Sunday hours.

If you need gifts with a Polish theme this is the place to go. Interesting just to browse through if you are unfamiliar with Polish culture.

This shop is a super awesome find. I am always going to Windsor. I decided to look for a crystal…read moreshop. They had a beautiful massive Amethyst piece that was round and I wanted it so bad! They had a lot of different kinds of crystals. They had a variety as well. Everything within the glass cases were more expensive and hard to find crystals. If you are from the United States, they have a way for you to choose U.S when you pay with card. They also have a system where you can sign up to earn rewards. The woman working at the counter was super helpful and kind. I was super excited to see that they had some things I was looking for that I could not find in Michigan. The prices were pretty fair too. The previous photos did not do it justice. There was a lot of crystals in the shop.

Surviving Smudge Metaphysical: You bet not turn me into a frog either…read more I see that Smudge reputation being a "secured sale business regardless of whether a customer is happy with the product or not", holds true . That also applies to customer care/experience and support. I also must agree that staff members are not knowledgeable enough to be assisting customers. Pretty much the 2 star review was spot on and if you choose to do so, shop carefully. Or just around, if you want to feel like a valued customer, supportive of small businesses, and not just "dollar in the till. ***Please inform international customers of potential hold and delays with customs when shipping. A just simple pop up disclaimer on your website and this all could have been avoided. I cannot stress this enough as a customer that has gone through the blender with UPS, customs, brokerage request, The FDA, The USDA and various other government agencies. Like omg who runs this place. I personally would not recommend shopping at this place. No warning whatsoever of crazy international shipping cost. BAD CUSTOMER CARE EXPERIENCE. When I first inquired, by phone, about a refund I was assured that everything was taken care of on their end, after 2 holds due to some coding errors/problems. Fine. Yet, I'm getting a new UPS delivery date off and on daily. I get another email from UPS, of another issue on the stores end. I notified, no response. I send an email, requesting a refund again, that I do not want the package. They give me more excuses. How they're not familiar with international shipping. Which I find kinda wild when you own a store and make online orders. The purchase was initially made 6/11. By 6/25, I was done. I was completely over the lack of assistance by the owner. No updates. No communication that things are going to be okay. My anxiety is going nuts. I wanted to do something special for myself for the Strawberry moon on the 29th smh. Anyways, I call UPS, the next day and ask them to send the package back. They tell me I have to wait for it to get delivered to refuse it. That the STORE has to request to have the package shipped back AND THAT MY PACKAGE IS BEING CHARGED EVERY DAY IT SITS IN THE WAREHOUSE!! I'm so sick I checkin my emails and this back and forth. Putting my plans on hold over and over because I "might" actually have a delivery THIS time. Email, email, email. This is so annoying and frustrating. I know they are sick of me too. Guess what, I check my email lol today & I get another new delivery date. WITH A $337 IMPORT FEE! I paid $63, for some catnip, lavender, rose petals, jasmine, some candles and some incense. I'm thinking it'll be easy because I live in Detroit, Canada right there. NOPE. I've gotten things from China, London and Japan. Had no issues. No insane fees. No emails from UPS. I was a happy, unbothered customer. I can now call UPS telepathically so today I do so lol. I let them know, I'm NOT payingggg thatttt. Nope. Nuh uh. I refuse to pay that. I wasn't prepared, let alone forewarned about incurring that kind of expense. I tell the lady that I don't the package, to send it back to the shipper and SHE DID IT NO FREAKIN PROBLEM! Bro what?! Then my main thing is, why when I ask for my money back, why can't I just can't get my money back? You have my money, I don't have my package. Yall casting spells and s%*t with my money and I don't have my stuff I ordered. I can't do the things I have planned but y'all can Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo with my money.

I credit much of my growth to incorporating her goddess candle and bath soaks into my new moon routine. She's intuitive and crafty, when I commissioned her to make candles for my birthday party last year she nailed it. Mind you, I only offered her "sparkly and blue/purple" as descriptors! The candles were periwinkle votives with gold sparkles and a feminine, relaxing scent. Above and beyond usual favors! I am excited for her brick and mortar vision manifesting, and went the opening weekend for a crystal reading. She told me what all the crystals meant and even sent me home with some, as well as Palo Santo and a ritual made just for my current needs. Highly recommend!
