When I arrived, I had my two-year-old with me in a stroller. She was calm, quiet, and watching a movie completely unbothering anyone. The salon itself was nearly empty, with only one other client present. Instead of being welcomed, I was immediately met with a very cold and judgmental attitude from the front desk. I was looked up and down, along with my stroller, and told in a very rude and inflexible manner that children were not allowed and that I would either need to leave or reschedule. As a mother, it is not always easy to find time for self-care, and I made the effort to come in for this appointment. The lack of empathy or basic courtesy was honestly shocking. There was zero attempt to accommodate, problem-solve, or even speak kindly. To make matters worse, I was charged $75 (50% of the service) simply for having to leave despite the fact that the situation could have been handled with basic human decency and flexibility. I do want to note that Desi, the hairstylist, did try to be kind while witnessing the way I was being treated, and I appreciate that. I understand this situation was not her fault. However, the overall customer service and experience are a direct reflection of the business she represents. This was the first time I've ever experienced something like this at a salon. I left feeling embarrassed, dismissed, and frankly, discriminated against for being a mother. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this salon especially to other moms. There are plenty of places that treat clients with respect, kindness, and understanding. This was not one of them.

Damaris is so friendly and personable. She really pays attention to my hair needs and will make recommendations accordingly. I have Alopecia Areata and an Autoimmune Thyroid condition so I deal with hair shedding/fall-out and texture issues from time to time. She has helped to make my hair look healthy, full, and shiny. My needs are usually very simple. Long hair with gray root coverage. Although I did have balayage for several years. It looked really nice, but I use infrared saunas often and it can sometimes be drying to the hair so I've let the balayage grow out since. Whatever your hair needs are, give Damaris a try. You will not be disappointed. They are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I showed a reference photo and asked for a specific length, but my hair was cut at least 2-3 inches shorter than requested (which is INSANE for a bob) and the result looked nothing like what I asked for. It has now been about 2.5 month (months!!!!), and I still feel genuinely uncomfortable wearing my hair down. Ive been wearing it up worn a ton of hair pins. It's too short to even put into a ponytail, and it's been difficult emotionally to adjust to, especially knowing this wasn't what I consented to. Hair grows back, but that doesn't take away how distressing this experience has been. I feel so awful looking at myself in the mirror... So for this occasion (my 35th birthday) I decided to go ahead and get my eyebrows tattooed due to not having anything to work with as I've gotten older. I usually use mascara to fill them in, but as time wore on, I was even losing eyebrow hair. As a preteen in the late 90s, I was a victim of overplucking to achieve the thin look. It didn't look too bad when I was young, but this look did not age well. Even though Becky does offer microblading, I went ahead and did the semi-permanent $180 option. I was VERY pleased with the results after one week. Keep in mind that if they will come on very strong the first few days and over time (about 3-4 days) it will peel and scab off. DONT PICK THE SCABS. Becky said to apply Neosporin on my eyebrows for a week and that it was okay to wash my face. As a nurse and careful consumer, I was very scared of infection (and I've seen horror stories about permanent eyebrows gone wrong) I was very diligent to follow instructions and monitor for signs and symptoms of infection. More than likely I will stick to this option when I get them redone in a year or so. $180 is actually very cheap, and normally I would be wary about getting cheap work done, but the quality I got was not cheap at all.
