However if you need major dental services like a bridge, tooth extraction, etc. this is not the place. I paid over 10k for work to be prepare and set a bridge. Slightly two years later the bridge cracked and the company they use has no warranty. They have audacity to call and leave a voice message that if I want to pay another 4.5k they will order and replace my bridge. Really on a 2 year cycle. I really hate to leave a negative as o have referred everyone I know here but until they change companies or offer guarantees on their products. Buyer beware

Dr Hampton pulled one of his teeth and left a section of root in his gum causing infection and pain until the root finally worked it's way out of the gum. In the mean time, Dr Hampton prescribed several antibiotics that really messed up Larry's digestive system so he still has chronic diarrhea. I generally just go for cleaning every 6 months and although I have some problems I'm hesitant to share and get the care I need. The hygienist doesn't clean the front of my teeth at all. I have a gold crown. After my biopsy, my pain was unbearable. If anyone has had a toothache, they understand the pain can make one crazy. I called Northgrand dental to see if they would remove the gold crown, fill any cavities and put a temporary crown on my tooth. I didn'T want to make future plans at this time. While the receptionist was polite, her concern was getting paid and the next step, and the next step and the next step. I just wanted this crown removed to see if the pain would stop, I was thinking I would make future plans after I had this done. Possibly remove other crowns and have them replaced. I just wanted to take things one step at a time. She decided to put me on hold to speak to the dentist. No one ever came back on the phone. I hung up, waited a few minutes and called back. it went to voicemail.That was my one and only experience with Northgrand Dental.

If you loathe the dentist, go to Dr. Cook. She takes a lot of time to walk you step-by-step through what is happening and what it will feel like. You'll always know what is coming. The only drawback is that she is not in any of the major dental insurance networks, which means you'll have to pay up front and wait for a reimbursement check. However, if you are self-pay or have specific coverage limits, stay away. I was extremely clear with this office multiple times about my coverage. I told them exactly which X-rays my insurance would pay for and explicitly instructed them not to perform any that weren't covered. They ignored me, performed the unauthorized X-rays anyway, and then sent me a bill for the difference. When I called to contest the charges, their response was: "We don't let insurance dictate our care." That is a convenient excuse to ignore a patient's informed consent regarding their own finances. The office also lacks any personal touch. The staff is so large and the turnover must be so high that you rarely see the same person twice. It's always someone new who has barely read your notes and has no idea what you've previously requested.
