We stayed in the Robert Harper Suite, one of three units, which featured a loft that we especially enjoyed.

Pros: - Location was convenient to the freeway, surrounding areas, and was safe - Hotel and room were very clean and updated - Breakfast had a wide variety of items and everything was hot and well-prepared - Staff was incredibly nice and went out of their way to help Cons: - The property needs some maintenance and upkeep. Surfaces like tables are worn and chipped. The huge lightshade in our room was broken and falling apart. Caulk and grout were cracked and looking poor, etc. - Humidity was really high indoors even though it wasn't horribly high outside. Our door would not close properly because of the humidity level and all my papers felt damp. - The public spaces (hallways, lobby, pool, etc) were very poorly lit with only these tiny wall sconces and no other lights. Overall, I would stay again, but definitely has some things needing improvement.

Apparently there was a concert going on in the area and there were no available hotels Airbnb's or bed-and-breakfast so my father had to sleep in the Denny's parking lot across the way from this hotel the next morning, the 17th Sunday I had booked and room for him here and although check-in time was until 3 PM when I spoke to Missy she understood the circumstances that my father was going through and let him check in early and get a shower and some sleep. my dad is 78. He was traveling alone by himself and it was horrible knowing that he had to sleep at a rest area. I just want to take the time out to thank Missy for her hospitality and her compassion that she conveyed to my dad. I wish there were more people in the world like Missy cause heaven knows we're lacking them right now. Thank you Missy.!!

Being so close to the lake during winter was a beautiful experience and having a warm, relaxing room to stay in was incredible. We immediately slipped into the provided robes, ran out onto the deck and opened up a bottle of wine we picked up from Firehouse Winery. After a quick cheers and a photo we got too cold and ran back inside to the warm fireplace. We sat in front of the fire sipping our wine and before we knew it, it was all gone. We called the on site restaurant to order another and a charcuterie board not realizing we were cutting it close to closing time. After thinking for a moment the person who answered the phone kindly obliged and sent over a great wine and the most beautiful charcuterie board that we promptly devoured. We ended our evening in the comfortable jacuzzi tub and then slept in the incredibly comfortable bed. The Lakehouse Inn and more specifically the beach house suite is the perfect stay if you're looking for rest, relaxation and impeccable service. We definitely enjoyed the quiet side of Geneva-On-The-Lake during the winter.

There is also a lovely little electric sauna which did the job. Be aware there are not full amenities here such as showers or other bath items, but there is a sauna shower where you can get a spritz. There is wine, champagne and cheese/charcuterie boards for purchase, and complimentary hot chocolate, coffee and orange peel infused water. Taryn the spa manager was welcoming and friendly. Weekday pricing was very reasonable. My only gripe was the peculiar sitting area, with a motley crew of decor. But that's a minor oversight for what was otherwise a perfect day. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Geneva on the lake.

The pans, well if you need one forget it I think they found them in the trash can! Why would you put a clock inside a pillow case?!? I have never seen a place so dirty! In fact when I wanted to try to take a shower the whole thing sprayed in 20 directions including ceiling. Was scared to sleep at night as there was a rat trap down. Never ever again and would not recommend! Hey st least we got to see Lake Erie. Please don't waste your money! Plus the lady who checked us in was rude and said that the cottages will triple next year!! Not worth a penny I found on the ground! The smell. Well I would of been better sleeping in the car!

After 40+ yrs at Uncle Toms & reading of all the great changes happening & a weeks stay:…read morePros: -Wi-Fi -AC -ROKU TV(if spending your time inside at the lake watching tv is your thing) -2 pet friendly units Cons: -Check in process unnecessarily long & complicated, multiple families were met with an attitude from Brenda right off the bat for no reason -No dresser or mirror in rooms , consequently nowhere to put clothing or suitcase but the floor & nowhere to get ready as the only mirror in the unit is in the bathroom with no outlet -nightstand with lamp, but nowhere to plug it in -no shelving in kitchen for food goods -no clotheslines to hang beach towels & bathing suites -Shower-head broke hitting me in the head, Brenda informed Weds, her response, as she gave me a nasty look & kept walking, was "Ah shit, we have a plumber coming this week to fix all of the other issues, I'll add it to the list". As of Sunday, it had not been repaired & Brenda at no point came to check on the situation herself -sheets stained -hair throughout shower on check in -no trash cans on the beach -Overflowing trash cans on the street -Playground equipment removed, leaving hazardous holes in several places where they were not properly filled -My parents bathroom door handle broke, locking her in the bathroom in the middle of the night for quite some time. My brother & father to fixed it, as everyone was on eggshells with Brenda -Slander. My uncle asked Brenda for the owners contact info, she started yelling at him, told him he 30 minutes to get off the premises or she was calling the cops. He opted to wait for the officer, along with no less than 20 friends & family who were witness to Brenda's irrational behavior that day, as well as throughout the week to him & others. However, the officer came & told my uncle it was Brenda's right to have him removed, stating Brenda sited my uncle was aggressive. What a joke. I heard from first time guests that when she didn't answer the number listed on the office door while they were trying to check in, they went to the beach to kill time & she promptly chased them down & approached them with such hostility they barely had a chance to tell her they were guests. Way to make a first impression. The VP was responding & defending the actions of this awful woman & turning the actions around onto the guests that have been loyal returning guests for years on another review site, until suddenly their whole listing "disappeared". I can't help but wonder if Ryan(the VP) has met this woman & if he actually wants to run a profitable business. If they really do plan on building a Bar & Grill on site as she has said, I hope they have a better business plan than running off return customers.
