Saw this place on New Day Cleveland and wanted to try. We were in the area and decided a glass of wine would be perfect. Easy to find. We parked and headed to the tasting room. We opted for inside and to sit at the bar. It was super windy out and instead of battling the wind we sat at the bar. It was a beautiful view on a beautiful day. We got the sangria and the focaccia appetizer. Both were good. Sangria was very citrus forward. It worked on a hot day. The focaccia had 3 toppings and olive tapenade, balsamic and oil, and butter. All 3 were good and the focaccia was warm. It hit the spot. Service was very attentive. And inside they have TV's and outside the view of the lake. It very nice and the patio is fun. This is higher end so most of the prices and drinks are in the $13 and up range. Our bill for 2 sangrias and app was around $48. So just be aware. I'd go back. They have dinner and an Inn. Disappointing experience -- will not return. We traveled from out of the country for a friend's proposal weekend at Vincent William, which had been planned for months. During our first visit, Tracy was welcoming and helped us choose the wine cellar as the proposal location. The day before, we met with her to confirm setup details since we would be decorating the space with flowers and candles. When we arrived the next day at our agreed-upon time, Tracy appeared surprised and seemed unaware the proposal was happening that day. She seemed flustered and inconvenienced, which was disappointing considering how much planning had gone into the weekend. While she did allow us to check in early (which we appreciated), the setup itself felt uncomfortable as we were supervised by a high school-aged employee despite everyone involved being adults in our 30s. The restaurant staff were wonderful and truly the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience felt more restrictive than welcoming. We were stopped from briefly showing the engaged couple's friends their room, felt monitored regarding pool usage, and overheard staff discussing reporting the number of guests using the pool. We understand having rules, but the way these situations were handled made us feel like we were being treated as a problem rather than valued guests. The final issue occurred when we returned to the Inn around 1:45 a.m. and the owner knocked on our door shortly afterward stating that guests had complained about noise. We were respectful of other guests and made every effort not to disturb anyone. The property itself is beautiful, and the restaurant team was excellent, but the hospitality experience did not match the expectations for a property at this level. Stopped by for lunch as this place has been on my dying to try list! The entrance is interesting as you drive thru a small residential area before parking in the gravel lot. There is a park right next door too for additional parking. The grounds are still being worked on as it is still springtime and I definitely need to come back during the summer season and when the weather isn't so dreary in northeast Ohio. We asked to sit at a table by the window but were told we couldn't sit there, mind you it was not busy at all and no one sat at that table the entire time we were there so I wasn't very happy with the staff. We ended up eating at the bar since we could still somewhat see the water that way. The food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal so that and the ambiance is the only reason I would consider coming back as the staff really ruined the experience for me. Today, we got a call from VW that "a large, important party" needed more space. They wanted to move us from inside dining, which we had booked, to the bar or outside. We wanted our original spot. Made reservations on a Friday night for outdoor dinner seating. About ten minutes after we were seated the waitress told us rain was on the way and they would recommend moving inside (they reserve a separate room indoors for those who made reservation outdoors if it rains - which was really nice). Once seated we met the owner's son (Vince) and had a nice conversation about the history of VW and how it came to fruition. Such an interesting journey and well worth the ask! We ordered the Fire Roasted Red Peppers and Whipped Ricotta dip. Both apps were very good and a nice portion to share. My friend and I ordered the scallops and they were very good. They looked a little smaller than the photos I've seen on here, but good nonetheless. My husband ordered the pork chop and thought it was good, and very thick! Lastly, my friend ordered the Bucatini Piccata and it was tasty!. The chicken was a nice size, but I personally would have preferred it not breaded/fried. Lastly, the best part of our meal was the Croissant Bread Pudding! One of the best desserts I've ever had... And I hardly ever order desserts :-) Later we ran into Vince again and had a nice conversation (Go Bobcats). We stopped at Vincent William Winery for a late lunch in January 2025 before driving back home to Chicago. It was our first visit to the winery, and ended up being the best meal of our entire trip. I rave about it to everyone. The inn and restaurant are absolutely gorgeous--thoughtfully designed, warm, and elegant--and the entire property truly stands out in the Grand River Valley. The setting is stunning: a unique lakefront location with peaceful views that feel more like a boutique estate than a typical winery. Even in winter, the atmosphere was serene and inviting. What really impressed us, though, was the pride the staff takes in the place. We were given a full tour of the property, and it was clear how dedicated and invested they are in ensuring Vincent William Winery succeeds. That level of care shows in every detail. As for the food--wow. Every dish we ordered was outstanding, from the warm, crusty bread with baked brie and preserves to the vibrant house meatballs and beautifully prepared entrées. The pasta was rich and comforting, and the pork chop was perfectly cooked with hearty, flavorful sides. Presentation was as thoughtful as the flavors. The cocktails were equally impressive. The Old Fashioned was balanced, smooth, and among the best I've had at a winery. Their wines were excellent as well, and I cannot wait until they launch a wine club--I'd be ready to sign up. The chef's classes also sound fantastic and would be a no-brainer for us if we lived locally. Truly, we have zero criticisms. Prices felt quite fair for the quality and experience. The property is exceptional, and the staff offers the kind of genuine hospitality that's increasingly rare. I absolutely love this place! You absolutely cannot bet the view. It's a beautiful patio setting and there are table right on the water. A perfect place for sunset. We got cocktails (limoncello spritz $12) and they were really good! The food was less expensive than I thought it would be and was decent. They have a good selection of gluten free items including flatbread! There isn't really any service, you order at the counter, but the employees behind the counter were very nice and helpful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, substituting GF flatbread so I could enjoy the baked brie, which was a real treat. After golfing at Madison CC our small group planned on going to Vincent William Winery which is near by. Since it was a very hot day and we were all pretty done with any more sun we asked to sit inside on the bar side. We were going to be the ONLY people sitting in that area at that time however they said since we walked in as a group they could not do separate checks for us, (6 couples). She said even if we split up into tabes of four they would still only do ONE check per table. How ridiculous is it in this time of credit card usage to think everyone had enough cash to replay the one person that had to pay! Clearly they don't care about their customers to try to accommodate us! This is an antiquated practice in 2026 and I would like to warn you if you intend to enjoy a fun time with friends DO NOT go to this restaurant. read more

I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 days. I am a single woman wanting to have some peace and quiet with lots of wine! I stayed at the Inn and I have never had a more special experience. At night I sat in the wine lane and quickly made friends with the staff and owner. You know it's a wonderful place when staff are off work and hang out at the bar and spend time together. Mike is the owner and he is accommodating and down to earth- really cares about the inn. Tracy- omg- don't know what to say- she makes everyone feel welcomed and she is incredibly caring. The food, chef, bartenders, Alice who served me breakfast every morning- everyone was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is so quiet and very comfortable beds and room are beautiful. My group definitely loved Vincent William Winery. I think the ambiance was the big thing for us - they have a beautiful lakeside patio, with comfy seating and great views of the sunset. I've never been to Napa Valley, but I imagine this is what it feels like! Driving up to the mansion was a sight to see though. The building itself is beautiful. Pictured. Only critique is the host stand was an awkward distance away from the door i entered. But maybe intentional? 2. DINNER: Delightful. A decent variety that anyone can pick from. I had the lamb with brussel sprouts and apple. My friend had scallops and truffle risotto. Both were excellent. My only negative comment is that my Brussels would have been better if crispy and not have so many huge chunks of apple. 3. Dessert: So amazing. I love bread pudding but this is top of my list. I couldn't stop eating it. 4. WINE: unfortunately, due to weather, could only try 1 but their chardonnay was pretty average to those I've gotten from wineries around this area. 5. Service: super attentive and kind. Amazing. Idk how they did it. Finally an Ohio-grown red that actually tasted like a real dry red wine! Okay let me back up! This is a beautiful lakeside mansion, so of course it's already impressive in its own. The parking lot is a little far from the restaurant though, so keep in mind for those who have troubles walking. Inside, there are different rooms for seating. We got the best seat in the house: right by the window overlooking the lake. Amazing!!!! It looks like there's a huge beautiful patio when the weather is nice ! There's also a bar around the back too, separate from the restaurant // winery ! Our mushroom flatbread was delicious !!!!! We came for a quick drink and bite to eat, just wanted to scope it out. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed to gorgeous view and great live music! We ordered the crab cakes (I love a good crab cake) and a glass of the Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay. To be frank, I work in the wine industry so I am a little more "snobby" than most. The crab cakes were great! I can only imagine the menu inside (photos attached) is just as good! Wine wise, the Cabernet Franc was lighter than I prefer but overall had a good full body and berry forward palate. The Chardonnay was a bit more fruity than I prefer but on a hot day it was refreshing. Definitely a more buttery Chardonnay so if that is your preference you will enjoy this. read more

All seating is spectacular and we started with cocktails and eventually moved to wine. The interior was bright and welcoming, and despite being busy, they seemed to have enough staff. We were quickly greeted and given menus, and our waitress returned shortly to take our order. Our drinks arrived quickly. However, the experience went downhill from there. The room was so noisy we had to raise our voices to talk. And we had plenty of time to do that as the food took about 10 minutes longer than the drinks to arrive. My girlfriend liked her drink and flatbread, which were fresh and well-prepared. My dish, however, was disappointing; the potatoes weren't as described on the menu and the sandwich used plain store-bought bread. A waiter checked in on us, and I pointed out the potato issue. The menu listed smashed potatoes but you can see what I got in the photo. He seemed puzzled, claimed those were their standard breakfast potatoes and asked if I was sure I saw them on the menu, and didn't follow up further. After finishing our meals, we waited another 10 minutes without seeing any staff before finally asking for the bill and leaving. We really wanted to enjoy this place--it's beautifully located by the lake--but it seems they prioritize appearance over substance.
