After getting nowhere with my previous counsel, I was referred to LS Carlson Law, and attorney Ahmet Brown took over my case. From that moment forward, everything finally started moving again. The firm followed every proper legal channel and applied the right pressure to force the HOA to respond and produce the documents (some) they had been avoiding for years. The case ultimately went to mediation, where I was able to recover most of the money I had spent up to that point. While I didn't walk away with additional compensation (which was disappointing after such a long battle) Ahmet reminded me that a successful mediation is often one where neither side feels completely satisfied. He was right, and I appreciated the honesty. Today, I've had to rehire the firm because the HOA failed to comply with part of the settlement agreement. At this stage, with all the groundwork already done, I'm confident the process will move much faster. I'm hopeful that this time I'll finally see meaningful accountability, and maybe even some compensation, for the stress and financial harm this HOA has caused. LS Carlson Law has been the only firm able to make real progress in a situation that felt impossible. I'm grateful for their persistence, professionalism, and deep understanding of HOA law.

I have to send them multiple email to ask for status update then suddenly LSCarson attorney sent me an email on April 8th , 2026 that they are out of office for Thanks Giving holidays and will be able to respond at December 1st ! Impressively, then charged me 450 dollars for that stupid incompetent email. All they did was send a standard document request letter to the HOA and charged me over 2500 which I told them clearly, I do not need a new document request letter since I have had it all from previous attorney's record request. Hourly rate between 450 and 525 are insane for DO NOTHING WORK and wasted my time and money after 3,5 months.

CONSUMER WARNING: CMS/ Cancel My Solar / Exit Lawyers / Covar Law Group…read more I was working with Cancel My Solar (CMS) to get out of my solar contract. After nearly handing over $10,000, I uncovered serious red flags -- including no proof of success, misleading refund terms, and a major privacy breach. By Adam Garcia - NC homeowner and solar loan holder BACKGROUND: Cancel My Solar is a marketing company that partners with Covar Law Group. They claim to help homeowners cancel predatory solar contracts. Their pitch sounded solid: High success rate. Legal backing. A possible refund of what I'd already paid toward my loan. They quoted a $9,995 flat fee and pushed me to act fast -- providing a quote that used the money I had already paid to my solar company (that they aimed to get back for us) as reason to assume the investment was a "No-Brainer." WHY I BACKED OUT -- AND WHY YOU SHOULD BE CAREFUL: 1. No Reputation. No Track Record. No Proof. They claim 13 years of success. I found none. No case studies No legal records No solar-related reviews No presence on Avvo, Yelp, or Google Just a few immigration reviews A BBB listing created December 2024 Everything they claim relies solely on their word. There's no paper trail -- just marketing. 2. They refused to add basic refund protections. Their sales pitch includes the promise of a refund if no results are delivered. So I asked for one simple clause: If no resolution is reached in 24 months, refund the $9,995 automatically -- no forms, no hoops, no 3-day deadline. They refused. Why that matters: The original contract hides a clause requiring you to request a refund within 3 days of the 2-year mark -- or they'll keep your money and just "keep trying." They also refused to clearly define what counts as a "resolution." That's not a safety net. That's a setup. 3. They mishandled my private information. I was told an updated contract was sent to me. It wasn't. After three follow-ups over two weeks, they admitted it had been sent to a completely different person -- someone who shared my first name. This wasn't a typo. It was my legal contract, sent to a stranger. That's gross negligence. 4. When I questioned the fine print, they backed out. I respectfully pushed back on vague, last-minute language that weakened my protections. Rather than address my concerns, they dropped me as a prospective client. Their reason? I was "not the right fit." Translation: You asked too many smart questions. WHAT THIS REALLY IS: Cancel My Solar is a high-pressure marketing funnel -- not a real legal service. They: Use urgency and emotion to sell Push $10,000 "flat-fee" legal agreements Offer no verifiable proof of success Mishandle sensitive personal data Shut down when asked for transparency I'M STILL LOOKING FOR LEGIT HELP: I still need to cancel a predatory solar loan. If you're an attorney who actually handles these cases -- or a homeowner who's succeeded in getting out of one -- I'd love to hear from you. Drop a comment or message me directly. Let's help each other avoid the trap I nearly fell into. Feel free to copy and repost this wherever it might help someone else.

I tapped on a link sent via Facebook, was contacted by phone, was asked for documents which were…read morereviewed and told I had a strong case. The price quoted was $15,000 then I was given a $5000 "discount" so the final price quoted was $9500. I was potentially promised (1) refund of paid monthly payments, (2) immediate cancellation of the contract, (3) removal of the UCC on my deed, (4) cancellation of the payments I owe until 2047. He reaffirmed that my contract was "fraudulent" and a federal crime. I was told the "window" was closing on GOOD LEAP, my solar loan company (Titan already went bankrupt) so I only have a week to decide (accelerating the decision process). I am already in another legal snag demanding that I pay off my solar balance (over $100K,...um, yeah...), so this is tempting but "too good to be true." The negative reports are a huge "wait a minute" and red flags abound.
