First time ordering a pizza and it was not edible . Cold and the centre was doughy and undercooked. Tasteless food.

Freshii - Spicy Buffalo Bowl (chicken)

Let me just say that with a toddler, speed is a huge perk!!! (Which I'm sure every family ever has discovered before me -that's why they go to Macdonald's). Anyway, husband orders the Buddha bowl, but I have a hard time deciding myself. Mediterranean, Mexican, Asian... they all appeal to me to be honest. The worker was not extremely helpful; she couldn't really explain what falafels were, she had to show me. I told her it was fine, I've had them before. My husband thinks I should get Teriyaki. I decide to go with that. My husband's bowl was de-friggin-licious!! Rivals any sort of green curry dish I've had at a Thai restaurant (but don't quote me on authenticity - it tasted like good, real food though). Strong bamboo shoot/lemongrass flavour, a bowl that is overflowing with vegetables. Broccoli, cilantro... fresh and tasty! Husband was keeping an eye on me - I was helping myself to his bowl freely and desperately. Need.... more!!! Walking around the zoo all day also made me sort of famished. Now for my bowl... I don't usually eat teriyaki and couldn't even tell you what the sauce is made of. So perhaps don't take my word on this. Maybe I just don't like teriyaki?? It seemed too salty for me. And another flavour which I didn't like overpowered the dish. I should have gone with my gut instinct and gotten the Oaxaca bowl! I'm Mexican at heart I swear. But the price! For the amount of food we got! We spent $20 with enough food to feed the three of us. With the convenience of quick service. If you ask me, that's pretty reasonable! Returned the next day and got my Oaxaca bowl which would almost bump this up to a 4*. Worth a visit!

She swore I would like the food so we went anyways. Long story short, the only thing I really enjoyed was the fries. I've tried them from many restaurants and theirs was good. Our order: bacon wrapped scallops, seafood chowder, lobster roll, steamed mussels…read more Oh my word. The seafood chowder is as advertised - the best! Creamy and filled to the brim with fruits of the sea. Just when I thought there had to be potatoes in my spoon, my mouth was met with scallops on scallops on scallops. I love the way the restaurant prepared their lobster, minimally, as to preserve the natural texture and flavor of the ocean. The fries are made from locally grown potatoes, fried to crisp on the outside, starchy and squishy on the inside. The bacon tightly wrapped around the scallops, adding a sweet and salty note to a soft pillow. The mussels were bouncy meaty but was paired with a white wine sauce infused with an herb that we were not fans of (perhaps tarragon?). The 15-20min wait was well worth the meal. The bustling environment was telling of its popularity among locals and tourists. Takeout available and it also sells and packages freshly captured seafood to go.

I was told about it by a local who said "it's where the cool kids go" for coffee and to hang out. I figured it would be a dive of a coffee shop and not much else, but of course I was wrong. Instead it is an impressive French-themed café frequented by a thorough cross-section of both locals and tourists, going by my people-watching experiences there. The outside looks unimpressive, with a good-size parking lot, and then a partially covered patio along the front of the café where patrons can sit outside and enjoy the day while sipping their latte or eating one of their fantastic orders of food. Inside there are two rooms. Directly in front of you as you enter the place is the order counter and room to hang out as you wait for your takeaway coffee, with a few tables there as well. To the left is a large room with many tables and out of the way of the hubbub of the order counter and takeout customers. In between is a little kiosk for dropping off your dirty dishes. I had breakfast there twice, and both times I was absolutely satisfied with my impressive meal and coffees. Their signature dish is a bagel with toppings like ham, egg and smoked salmon with veg and vegan options. The presentation is top-notch with greens adorning the dish like it was some kind of a work-of-art. Gorgeous AND Delicious! The menu is simple and posted on the wall beside the order counter. I enjoyed myself there so much! Great place to people-watch with the variety of patrons, everything from business people, to people driving holiday exploration vehicles to students and laptop hounds. This is THE place to go in the area that I was in, which was not in the downtown strip, and instead was in their typical big box alley. Highly recommended!!
