Best pizza / lasagna in Moncton. They have quick service even when they are busy. We normally do take out so are not in the restaurant.

Vito's has held a special place in my heart after I tried for the first time 3 years ago I was amazed at how good it tasted. It was like a river of juicy tomatoes, cheese, pepperoni, peppers, black olives, ham, and pineapple, flowing through my veins. The restaurant is closed. This is take out only. So the ambiance was nonexistent. This was huge disappointment after driving there to sit down only to discover had to wait 30 min for order to be filled. Pizza was soggy. Sauce was, well best choice of word would be weird. Neither sweet nor spice red sauce. Dough even at crust was meh. Person who served us was nice. But knowing pizza, and where grew up and many places have eaten no one In the real pizza zone would go back here. Any chain is at least as good. Anyone. read more

Traveling across New Brunswick, we stopped in Moncton. We decided to get carry-out pizza and eat in our room. After searching different sites and reading reviews, we settled on Vito's. Carry out orders are handled through a separate doorway and room. Ordering was not easy. The young woman taking my order was pleasant, but was unable to answer basic questions about the pizza and salads. After a brief wait, I picked up my pizza and salad and returned to our room. Looking at the pizza, I was immediately disappointed. The top layer is cheese, so it's impossible to se any 'toppings.' It turns out - not much in the way of pepperoni or mushrooms to see. The crust was most of the pizza. It was the worst pizza I've ever tried to eat. What little sauce there was was bland. We gave up on the pizza and ate most of the Greek salad. By the way, it's 2023 and easy to find pitted olives these days! If you find yourself in Moncton and you're craving pizza, just call Domino's. read more

Food was ok not the same as Saint John family. Had garlic fingers was different dough than the normal pizza dough. The pizza was good just not what you would expect from Vito's Saint John location is much better read more

Love the pizzas at Vito's -and I have to get my Vito's pizza fix on a regular basis. I recommend the works pizza with extra sauce!

Vito's has been a family favorite for us for the past 3 generations. The Souvlaki is excellent and my 3 year old son loves the kids pizza meal. Great value for your money. Vito's is a great spot for family dinners or business outings. read more

had the chicken brochette- lots of chicken salad, & rice- too much to eat all in one sitting, so I got a take-out container for it. Was tasty- chicken was tender & well seasoned, salad was fresh & crispy & dressing served on the side, so I didn't overdo it on calories. Loved the rice pilaf. The server was a sweetheart, kept making sure everything was ok and was perky & upbeat, but professional. Love that it is a family owned restaurant, with the third generation working there now. Great atmosphere, warm and inviting. Lots of space between tables. read more

My father talks about Vito's a lot, so I mainly went because he was treating us to lunch. I've been here before years ago but since I'm vegan, there's not a lot of options. The restaurant itself looks very much the same to what I remember and while maybe considered to dated to some, I actually love the decor here with the stonework and Italian themed decorations. The menu itself is lacking for vegans but we were able to order cheeseless pizza and fries. I'm not sure but some of the pasta may be able to be veganized as well. My biggest praise was to the sweet waitress that served us. She was training another girl and was very sweet and prompt. Our order was pretty quick and the food was decent. Nice place, friendly staff but food was just ok. Had to pay $2.29 for a meatball that definitely seemed prefab. Not sure what it was as it wasn't ground beef. Meat sauce was one note sauce. Buns were also from a bag which was disappointing coming from an Italian restaurant. Pizza was pretty good. We had high hopes for it since it was a very nice place. read more

Vito's has always been great to deal with, but during Covid, they excelled! Food was for pickup, and was time, fresh and hot!

Definitely try the seafood lasagna. It's unique and I really enjoyed it. The chicken souvlaki was okay. It was a kebab of chicken pieces (kind of bland) on a bed of rice (kind of greasy). Nice that it came with salad. read more

My husband and I haven't been here in 6 years and wanted to celebrate us finding out the gender of our bundle of joy! The decor inside his very dated, however the food far makes up for that. We had a large works pizza and garlic fingers( leftovers for the win). Food was hot and delicious, which was no different than the last time we where here! 100% will be back. read more

Went to Vito's in Moncton on November 10, 2018. Rather disappointed. Pizza was good; lasagna was so-so and spaghetti was bland and included two mushroom pieces and 3-4 soggy green peppers. Our server spent a bit of time attempting to uncork a wine bottle with a screw on cork until she was informed that a cork screw was not needed. Server and cashier told us fresh pepper was not available although two fresh pepper grinders were visible. As we were preparing to leave, we entered into a discussion with several staff members about the pepper grinder situation. Two servers were aware of the pepper grinders while several didn't know they existed. Grated cheese not available either. Not the Vito's I once knew. Never again. read more

We decided to have a lunch a Vito's yesterday. It had been 25 years since i had been in the restaurant. Nothing had changed... the ambiance was sombre...the whole dinning room had not changed after 25 years! No placemats or tablecloth on the tables...the table had marks of wear. The waitress was lovely and served us well. The food ordered was unacceptable...soggy ceasar salad which i suspect was probably prepared the prior day. The garlic bread was dry. Vito's is known for it's pizza and lasagna however the lasagna special was just inacceptable. It was served in a small stainless steal dish, overcooked, dry and the presentation was just plain awful. I would suggest to the owner revisiting his luncheon menu specials with his food preparation staff or cooks (?). In the world of restauration the presentation, the dining atmosphere and the quality and flavours of the food served has to be outstanding as the competition is fierce...which yesterday during the visit, the above did not meet the minimum standards for quality, flavour and presentation of food served. read more

We were very skeptical about this restaurant given the dated appearance from the outside. The inside was consistent with the exterior, but not necessarily in a horrible way. The interior doesn't look like it's been updated since 1969, when it opened. There's something oddly charming about that. The kitschy fake stone walls and campy Mediterranean vibe would have made this spot a major first-date destination at one time. Oh to have been a fly on the wall back then! We started with the homemade Minestrone soup and Caesar salad. My partner love his soup. My salad was delicious. We shared a large pizza. There was more than enough for the two of us. We enjoyed it. All ingredients tasted fresh. We definitely plan to return. Dinner service starts at 4:00 pm and the place fills up fast. Pay at the cash as you exit. There is a separate door for the busy takeout service. Tip: They used to make their own pasta. They no longer do so. However, the sauces are made in-house. Service was excellent thanks to our server, Denise. Washrooms are located down a set of stairs. They appear to have been recently renovated. They were very clean. read more

One thing i missed when i moved to toronto 27 years ago, was good pizza. New york has theirs, Chicago has theirs, and toronto has theirs, but i missed Moncton's Vito's. And, this weekend, after 27 years, my brother and i introduced his family to Vito's and wasn't disappointed. This is not just food that is good because i remember it that way from high school. Its good because it still is good today, wowing a new generation of teens and those who, until now, thought they had actually had good pizza. Now they know Great + pizza= Vitos. Hey... I wish there were half stars as this isn't a 4 but 3 seems a bit low. I've been to Vito's maybe 3 times and each time has been fine. Always a big group of us and they are accommodating, which is certainly a plus. The staff is friendly and can be engaging. The food is just okay. I love Vito's. This is a family owned restaurant and while many people think it's Italian it's actually Greek. There is a range of things like pasta and pizza but there is also a selection of Greek dishes. The staff is friendly. The pizza is definitely one of my favourites ever, of any pizza I've ever had, not just in Moncton but anywhere. The lasagna is also delicious. My recommendation, however, is for the chicken souvlaki. It is delicious. You can order any of the above mentioned items to eat in or to take out. Be prepared, on the weekends, this restaurant is incredibly busy and keep that in mind if you plan to dine in on a Friday or Saturday night. read more

My family and I have supported the Vito' pizza family since their inception in the 60's through the 2000's, it has been a Friday night treat for our family who is now grown and have their own family, My wife and I as empty nesters have until recently enjoyed the friendship of the many people who started their waitress careers there as young men and women and now have family of their own, especially Mary May (english translation) However: as of the past 5 year's the quality of the food served has taken a dramatic down turn, the pizza's that we loved does not have the same taste or quality as they had before, and after eating a thousand of them since they opened I consider myself an expert on how they should taste, the spaghetti sauce has lately taste like it has come out of a very poor quality bottled sauce sold at the superstore locations and as for the specialty food, fish, salads, etc. we now find it to be over priced and of poor taste. I offer our sincere condolences to the staff and owners of the Vito's locations for this review but the bottom line is, IF you want to earn our respect for the quality of food served in you restaurants then you need better quality control and not just look at your financial bottom line. Vito's is an all-time Moncton favourite. I've never been disappointed there. The garlic cheese fingers are succulent, the lasagna is amazing. The caesar salad is the best I think I've ever had. It's our family's gathering place when we manage to have supper together with the grandparents. We all love it. The decor is a bit out of date, but who cares. You're not eating your chair and table. Today I was looking at a couple days of fending for myself. I decided the two 12" five toppings special will carry me through the next few meals. I requested thick dough, little extra sauce and ensure its well done. I apologized for being so fussy and the lady made me feel like it was no problem and she was happy to take care of me. This was my first Italian meal after I got back from Italy and all I wanted was authentic Italian pasta, something you won't find in New-Brunswick! Although Vito's doesn't have traditional Italian dishes, their lasagna really hit the spot for me! We had good service, great food and the prices were great compared to the big food chains like Boston pizza where you get big plates of okay food! Low rating is based on their pizza only. Very sloppy, poorly built, huge bubbles push toppings and cheese all to the side. If you want good pizza, go elsewhere. If you want Greek/Mediterranean (not Italian inspired) food, then you'll possibly enjoy it here. read more
