My car could not be towed and needed to be flat bedded to a local body/repair shop. Wade Edward's was on the scene 10 minutes after receiving my roadside assistance call. The second occurrence was with the rental car I had to replace my car, which had a tire blow out. After waiting in the phone for almost a hour and a half with the rental company's roadside assistance, never speaking to a human being, I decided to hang up and just call Wade. Once again, Wade came out to give to change my tire within 15 minutes of my call. He was great to work with in both instances. The first night, he took the time to help me and my dog, who was riding with me in my car, get to our local destination by around midnight. As for the tire blow out, when he realized it was on a rental and that I would be responsible for the repairs, he invited me to come into his dealership to have his team see if the tire could be repaired at no charge. Unfortunately, I ended up needing to replace a rental car tire but his staff took great care of me. Awesome experience. While I'm not certain of this, I suspect they gave me the "Friends and Family" discount. I really appreciate all his and his team's help. I'm a long way from home and it was nice to meet some people who are just good people and cared about me/us. If I was in the market for a new car, I would be very confident in giving him and Edward's Automotive my business. Maybe I will anyway.

The office staff, as well, was extremely professional and friendly, and scheduled the repair in Iron Mountain (50 mile drive) instead of my having to go to Escanaba (100 mile drive). I took in my fiances Kia Niro and the guy had no idea what oil it took so I told him and he goes thanks bud I'm the expert here... Great start. He proceeded to tell me how he owned the place... Congrats bud. I don't think there was a second that he wasn't bitching and complaining. Telling me not to go back to the last place I got the oil change done, complaining about anything and everything. I leave the dealership thinking at that point well at least it's over with and I'm done listening to that grumpy guy. Unfortunately that wasn't the worst of it. We're up north at the cabin at this time for about two weeks. We don't drive the car much and park it on a gravel road so the opportunity for us to notice the oil leaking was minimal. It wasn't until we drove the car back home and had it parked on a paved road that we noticed the oil. At this point, I'm thinking great this things been leaking for two weeks and we just drove it 300 miles to get home. Immediately I take it to the Valvoline oil change next door. They were kind enough to inspect it and let us know the genius owner of Northwoods Oil & Lube doesn't even know how to properly change the oil on a car. They show me the picture of the oil leaking from the drain plug and let me know that guy didn't replace the gasket. So in order to fix the issue they have to take out the drain plug and replace the gasket which would result in all the oil being dumped and changing the oil again. Hey, mistakes happen. I get it. So I call Mr. Hot Shot Owner and let him know he made a mistake and asked that he refunds me because I'm not driving the five hours back to Eagle River to get it fixed. He then calls me a liar, calls Valvoline a liar and requests to talk to Valvoline himself. I give him the tech's number and I had it because he sent me the picture of the oil dripping and so he calls him. 45 minutes go by and he calls me back. This part left me speechless. He proceeds to make up a lie that I didn't listen to their tech blah blah blah... And the biggest tell that he was lying was that he couldn't even control his ego. He had to throw in the story about how everything looked great and that there was no issue. So I reach out to the tech from Valvoline and he says he never talked to Mr. Hot Shot Owner. In short, I've never, ever had such poor customer service and not only did this guy charge me $60 something for a half assed oil change but he doesn't have the balls to admit his own wrong doing. Buddy, let this review help change they way you live. No one gives af that you own that place, and no one asked - so quit talking about it. And more importantly, have the integrity to admit you aren't always right. Gaslighting a customer doesn't typically bode well for customer retention. And I hope this yelp review makes people think twice about wanting to be a new customer of yours.

Again, they are truck experts and did a great job. My concern was that when I dropped off the truck I was quoted approximately $400. This was a strain on my finances at the time, but I knew I needed it taken care of. When the owner finally contacted me to let me know the truck was done the price had gone up to $2500! I understand that more needed to be done and that mechanics are expensive, but I SHOULD have been contacted BEFORE the bill went that high! I was very upset since I didn't have $2500! Luckily I was able to borrow the money in order to get my truck back. As a woman I always feel like I'm a prime target when it comes to vehicle repairs. I should not need to tell them in advance to notify me if more work needed to be done so I could approve it.

We rented a Penske truck and trailer from these people and this was an absolutely negative and…read morenegligent experience from the get go. Truck and trailer NOT there when we arrived. We called them prior and we were given the number from the email given to us by Penske. We told them we would be there by 9:30am. Apparently this was the wrong number to call and the woman behind the counter was like, not my fault it's your fault you called the wrong number and it's corporate fault. In any Case the truck and trailer were not present. The woman then said, trucks on the way should be here in 17 minutes So we went and sat in the car to wait.... And wait. 45 minutes later she tells us the truck will be there in an hour or so... wait ,, what?? She just said 17 minutes 45 minutes prior so wth? She calls my husband who was quite angry and upset an Ass as she walks away. Nice customer service lady!! (NOT!!!)et me quickly interject that we had to get my husbands dad to our home in Florida ASAP while he was stabilized. We had to park up that 26 foot truck and car trailer and get him home within a certain window of time. Was not looking good. We went to lunch and even though my husband was teed off we called corporate Penske who was appalled by the woman's behavior and gave a partial refund. We picked up the truck and trailer and went immediately home to pack it up. Unfortunately we had to leave the next day as we did not have time at this point to get it done. On the drive down one of the truck tires blew... this is end of July in Indiana and unpleasantly hot. Truck will run only so long and we did not want to run out of gas. Was worried about dad and the heat. He was ok thank God. When the nice man came and changed the tire he looked at the other tire and said " that one will blow too so get that replaced where you stay tonight and stay close by." So after we settled in the hotel the people came to give us a new tire and looked at the trailer... said it was not roadworthy period. It would not make it through the mountains and they were surprised we had not been in an accident... Hold The Phone!!!! Does that mean no one inspected the equipment prior to us renting it?? Apparently this was the case. Totally Negligent. I hope Penske pulls their license with this group. And I hope no one ever suffers from any accidents because of their negligence.
