Cannot say enough GREAT things about the design and construction of my new large koi pond. We had a pond for 20 years and because of the design, tree roots were able to grow through and cause huge leaks. I was referred by a local koi expert (Rick Blazo) to the owner of Pond Magic, Esau as the best designer. He built a beautiful Oasis for my koi. It is truly a stunning landscape architecture master piece. Beautiful lighting, plants, stonework. The neighbors are convinced we have a natural spring in our front years! It's also predator proof. His employees were respectful, kind, quiet (no loud music) and we were able to have guests in our air bnb without interruption! This was even with a back hoe, 10 foot hole, large rock delivery etc. AMAZING COMPANY! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Not sure what happened to company recently since most of reviews on here sound good. We hired Pond Magic to do clean our waterfall/pond area and the day after we received notice from water company that we had a leak. We reached out and our calls and texts haver been ignored after him saying he would come to repair it. It has been 5 months since we had the work done and still our attempts to contact Pond Magic go unanswered. I just filed a complaint with BBB and want to spread the word to prevent other people from having same experience . We spent $1600 to have our pond cleaned only to have it broken and unable to use. Jakub and company have done a terrific job to reinstall our pond and repair our deck. Our pond has been quite a mess when the project started with lots of debris accumulated over the years. It was amazing to us that the team was able to finish everything (including cleaning up the debris, installing a new pump and filter and rearrange all the water lilies, etc. ) in one very productive day. Moreover, they were able to help us adjust the waterfall routing over the rocks to save water without additional charge after 2 months! The deck project was also smooth and pleasant. Jakub and team were very organized and they planned everything ahead of time. They also communicate very well. The broken wood were replaced, the surface was power washed and painted with the color of our choice, and we paid they after everything is finished, adjusted and inspected by us. Tim and his wonderful crew created a beautiful 1600 gallon waterfall and cascading stream in our garden. Tim transformed my crude little sketches into a brilliant oasis that wildly exceeded our expectations! Tim responded quickly whenever there was a question and his workers were hardworking, careful, and neat. We went with Tim for our project after talking to another pond builder who wanted to take down our front yard fence and drive a small Cat into the back yard to do the digging. By contrast, Tim's workers did all of the work by hand, wheelbarrow, and sometimes incredible ingenuity! The falls and pond are performing beautifully and it has already attracted hummingbirds, dragonflies, and even a big green spotted frog! Tim is the BEST! read more

This review is not based on their work. It is because they came out to my house for an estimate after I emailed the address on their website. We went over all the details of the pond that I wanted them to construct, from exact measurements to rock size to placement of the different components, etc. We also talked about when they would be able to do the work. They were going to email me an estimate. Never heard back. After a week, I sent a friendly reminder. After two weeks, a phone message, and then finally a text. It was the same text number we had communicated on several times when we were scheduling an estimate. Nothing. It's been over a month now. I can understand if they got too busy or just decided they didn't want my job some reason but at least give me the courtesy of 30 second text to let me know! read more

We want to take this opportunity to share our wonderful experience regarding our backyard /waterfall/pond project that Pond Magic just completed for us in Marina, Ca. First of all, we had very high expectations to begin with as we've had beautiful ponds and waterfalls built in three of our previous homes. We interviewed four companies and chose pond Magic due to many factors but none more important than the images and testimonials they were able to provide of past projects. They were very professional and easy to work with and their attention to detail was "off the charts". Not only did they build and epic waterfall and pond, they also installed beautiful Bluestone underneath our covered patio and built a gorgeous matching cedar deck, pathway, arbor and garden. It's really amazing the oasis they created in our backyard. A huge plus was the fact that they did all of the work themselves demonstrating how broad their skill sets are. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail were key factors in building one of the most amazing backyards you'll see. They exceeded our extremely high expectations and did so "under budget". My husband and I couldn't be happier with the final product. They have already stirred up "considerable interest" in our community as our neighbors have watched the project develop from afar. We're certain that Pond Magic will be spending a considerable amount of time in the Sea Haven community building beautiful backyards for some of our neighbors. Poor communication and follow-through with these contractors. I was clear from the beginning that raccoons were an issue in my backyard, and after the raccoons had a field day with the fountain Pond Magic constructed, subsequent visits to my house by the contractors (that took weeks to schedule) failed to solve the problem. Now I am left with an eyesore collecting mosquito larvae, am out $1000, and will have to start all over with a different company. read more

Overall, a positive experience and I would recommend them as they did a great job. One star was lost as there were multiple communication issues that led to us initially not getting what we wanted and to some unnecessary hassle with us having to move the small mountain of excavated earth they should have removed. However, they quickly responded to our concerns and came out within a day to fix the issue (some design changes in the water feature) without charge. We want to thank Tim, Ezzy, and Jose for creating the perfect pond for us! We wanted to create a chemical free self contained ecosystem complete with a self sustainable food chain. With an extensive zoological background it was important for all aspects from crystal clear water and natural algae control to a very diversified group of inhabitants, that everything was perfect. We now have a thriving and growing pond community. We know we were a challenging project and are very greatful the attention to detail. The attention to detail, care they took to make sure every aspect of the water feature was to our liking, and the end product was absolutely wonderful!
