There is a bus system that runs through the apartment complex that is free to ride for students. It comes at convenient times and get me to my classes on time. Overall, this is a fun place to live. It has a volleyball court, basketball court, fields to play football and soccer in, a pool, and a frolf course. I never have issues with parking and the maintenance crew is on point and efficient for the most part. Rent is pretty good if you compare it with other common student housing around campus. Overall great place to live and I would recommend it as a MNSU student.

There was gum stuck on the balcony, the trim was damaged, paint was chipped, etc. If I were you I wouldn't live here no matter how convenient it is.

From the beginning, I made every effort to handle issues properly and respectfully. Unfortunately, Atwood's response to my concerns showed a serious lack of professionalism and accountability. I expected communication, follow-through, and basic courtesy--but none of those were consistently present. 3. One of the most significant problems was the refrigerator issue. I went without a working fridge for three long months. Despite repeated requests and follow-ups, I was given excuses and delays. No one should ever have to live without a refrigerator for that long, especially when rent is being paid on time. 4. During this entire period, there was no sense of urgency or compassion from Atwood. Each time I reached out, I was told someone would come or that parts were ordered--but nothing actually happened for months. It was not only inconvenient but also a clear example of poor management and disregard for tenants' basic living needs. 5. Maintenance is supposed to provide support and ensure livable conditions, yet they repeatedly failed to show up or complete jobs as promised. I lost count of how many times I was told they would arrive, only for no one to appear. It's hard to have any trust in a company when their own maintenance staff can't follow through on simple repairs. 6. What made matters worse was the retaliatory behavior. If you challenge them or prove them wrong, it feels like they take it personally. Instead of addressing concerns professionally, they become defensive or uncooperative. That kind of attitude is toxic and unprofessional in any business, especially one that deals with people's homes. 7. I should not have to worry about being mistreated simply because I spoke up for myself. Tenants have every right to request proper maintenance, fairness, and honesty. It's not retaliation-proof to expect the services you're paying for--it's basic decency and part of the agreement we sign when we move in. 8. This entire situation has left me with deep disappointment in Atwood's operations and how they handle tenant issues. The lack of responsibility, professionalism, and care is something I would never want anyone else to experience. Too often, tenants are treated as if their voices don't matter--and that's exactly how I felt. 9. I hope Atwood takes this feedback seriously and reviews how they manage maintenance requests and tenant communication. You cant call ANYONE Direct locally or at corporate headquarters. You must leave a voicemail and HOPE someone returns a call. Great maintenance man but his hands are tied as well, due to corporate and only having so many hours in a work week. There is NO onsite management living here either so when they go home for the night or weekend, they could give two shits about what is going on, or needs attention! The manager her has about 110 units to manage between the two properties and is way overloaded with the amount of paperwork and compliance for the income based part of their property. Literally MONTHS to get approved and now the lying by management to appease residents will bite them in the butt. Turnovers are horrendously and painstakingly delayed which causes additional lies about your move in date and they could care less! The buildings were hastily put together as witnessed by things like crack in walls from ground settling, tons of missed powenails in mounting cupboards an d cabinets, now splitting the wood, not to mention the cheapest paint and carpet known to mankind. Tent raises are at least $50.00 a year while services and support staff have been nothing but cut. Elevators have been out at least three times in the 2 years i've been here, once for almost 10 days. No urgency in repairs, same thing with underground parking garage doors.

I personally have called numerous times about plenty of maintenance fixes we needed and they never get back to you and do the bare minimum to fix the problem weeks later. Our windows don't close properly, our smoke alarm didn't have batteries, our porch is made of decaying wood and the list goes on. I would never recommend this place even to my worst enemy.
