I asked for same day delivery on two occasions and this place did not let me down. Diane is super responsive, efficient, and kind. She's absolutely delightful to work with. John even started his shift an hour early to accommodate my delivery. When I called to follow up, John answered and I was fortunate enough to directly thank him. Super nice guy! Who would have guessed that a person could have so much fun picking up a birthday arrangement??? After walking into the shop, I was greeted and made to feel very welcome. I knew how much I wanted to spend, and the young lady began piecing together a very special arrangement (as a a matter of fact I was nervous that she misunderstood the dollar amount we discussed; the arrangement looked to be a very exspensive one). I received a phone call after the first delivery attempt was made and then Dennis the delivery driver called me and I gave him specific directions to help find the gravesite! We get our weekly office floral arrangements from Pondview and have for years. Diane is amazing! It seemed like everyone who comes to the front desk has something to say about her gorgeous pieces! Pondview went above and beyond when my Mom called in an order for my son when he was in the hospital. She wanted balloons tied to a Lego set instead of flowers...they went to Catch a Falling Star and picked the set up and then called my Mom. I sent flowers to my mum at the last minute on Valentine's Day. My bad for waiting so long, but they crafted a lovely arrangement and made such a personal effort to get her those flowers I have to give them 5 stars. From the recipient: "Beautifully arranged in a circular glass vase are at least a dozen fully opened dusty rose-colored roses, many (now opened) purple tulips, many freesias and many tiny red blossoms throughout....Even though I haven't been out much because of snow-ice-rain-freezing temps, the florist picked one of those times to deliver. Finally On Sunday, I got a voice mail from Pond View Florist that they missed me and would call before delivering. While I was in Brookline on Monday morning, they called my cell phone and I was able to answer. We agreed that they could deliver after 1 PM. The florist delivered them herself and profusely apologized. It is so beautiful and aromatic that I gave her a big tip. It is still beautiful and I love waking up to the aroma or smelling it when I come in from the cold." It's like they cared as much about how her Valentine's Day was as we did. I ordered a bouquet over the phone that I saw on their website. Ordering was easy and the bouquet delivered on time. My problem is that the bouquet didn't really look like the daisy/rose combo from the online picture. I did ask them if the bouquet would look like the one online and they said, yes. I was told they didn't have exact vase but had something similar the problem was that there were about half the roses pictured. It was filled with daisies and a few roses here and there tucked in. When I flew in and saw them at the party I had to pull the roses out so they could stand out a little and it wouldn't seem like I had paid $35 for a bouquet of daisies. I paid a total of $52 for flowers and delivery. Which seem like a bit of a rip off. Maybe my experience would have been different had I walked in versus ordering over the phone but I wouldn't use them again. read more

Pondview is the best and is everything you could want from a small business... beautiful flowers, fair prices, and a team that is incredibly friendly, professional and talented. Their floral arrangements are stunning - and always at a reasonable price. I've called numerous times for some last-minute help (seems I'm always remembering birthdays and anniversaries at the last moment!) and the team always bails me out. Am I the only one who thinks that this place is way to independent for my business. My husband ordered a flower arrangement and since I wasn't home, they left a note at my door to call. I called them back the next day and said I wanted my flowers delivered this morning. I was told they didn't presently have driver to drop off the flowers and gave me no alternative. I had mentioned that I could pick them up myself (not that I was going to do this). I just wanted to hear how they would respond and do business. The person on the phone told me of course you can pick them up and didn't even say that they would be happy to deliver them especially since I'm sure my husband paid for that service. So in my mind this business seems very independent and I guess they don't really need my business. That same day I called back again (at 11:am) regarding if they were able to deliver them to my home. Luckily, the woman told me that she had her driver there and he would deliver them in 10 minutes and that did occur. I think I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more
