St. John's county is not # 1 district. they never taught cursive writing and was mandatory since…read more2014 for grades 3 through 5. All of Generation A can't write cursive. The Governor had to sign it into law because it was not being taugh. St John's county was more worried about money and used this time to teach fast testing. Now are children can't even sign there name for a check. Drivers license etc...My grandson lives in Georgia and is in 5th grade and can write cursive. How embarrassing for our kids who move to another state that did teach cursive. They will be behind and laughed at. I voted to raise my property taxes for education. Big mistake, I feel swindled. Don't move to St Johns county for better school. Their #1 ranking is a lie.
