I was in the workers comp system when I was referred to Dr. Salahi after a failed back surgery and he was the 1st Dr. in 4 years that cared for me as an individual with compassion and empathy and worked diligently to find a solution for my chronic pain. He always takes his time with me and listens to me. People have asked me why I don't get a Dr. closer to home. My response... "I'll never find a Dr. as amazing as Dr. Salahi." I am more that happy to travel the 45 mins every 21 days knowing I am in the most capable hands and that my Dr. genuinely cares about me. Update 9/13/19 Just this past Sunday my pain pump malfunctioned, I was able to get a hold of Dr. Salahi and was in his office 1st thing next morning them on the surgery schedule this Thursday. I asked about antibiotics and was told that I would not need them. It got infected and had to go back for antibiotics. I went back to get sutures removed and asked why I didn't get antibiotics to begin with so I wouldn't get infected and was told "oh we don't want you to be antibiotic resistant"! WHAT??? So just get an infection because of what may happen? More like just keep coming it to correct negligence to begin with. Pick another dermatologist.

But for now, I'm happy coming here every few months for things like skin care, sun damage repair, advice (that's a big one) etc. Living in Florida, you Need a good skin care plan & regimen to keep the sun damage away. With skin cancer running in my family, I try to stay ahead of the matter as much as I can. A few years back I did a series of IPL laser treatments that really helped reverse some of the sun damage I did in my teens & early 20's by laying out on the beach entirely too much. Contoura's also helped me with embarrassing things like hormonal adult acne.
