I like taking my dog here. It's just a casual little shop and my dog seems pretty comfortable with them. I like that they let her run out to me when they're done. It seems to help her feel less nervous, and she easily goes to them each time we've show up for an appointment. I have been asking for different cuts the past few times, as the weather changes, and they've done a nice job of getting pretty close to what I request each time. I've previously had a lot of bad experiences around Visalia and Exeter in the past decade, everything from my dog getting a weird full body rash the next day, to getting whole different cut than what I asked for, to finding big cuts on them that no one told me happened during the grooming, etc, so yeah this spot has just been a reliably nice grooming option for me with no issues. Customer service could improve. I was calling to inquire about appointment and how many dogs she has at a time as my dog gets nervous with all the yapping of other dogs so I try to not have my dog in these types of environment. She was rude and actually just hung up on me while all I was doing is asking a few questions, trying to see if this would be a good fit for us as we are new to the area. DEFINITELY not a good fit. I figure if I can't be treated right as a potential customer imagine if I gave her my business! Apparently, I'm not the only one with this type of experience at this establishment. This post is overdue: I just moved here last year and was looking for a new groomer, They almost KILLED my Australian Shepherd. She had ingested something toxic in their care and I had to rush her to the vet. She was sick as soon as I picked her up. I tried calling them right away and didn't get a response until the following morning. I had no sleep and emotional trying to make sure my dog stayed alive and the owner while apologizing and cussing up a storm telling me any and every excuse that "they didn't do it". Mind you, my dog is well behaved and very experienced with groomers. We've never had an issue prior. They even blamed it on my lawn care as if this had anything to do with it. I've never EVER experienced anything like this and Sarah Cooper never once taken responsibility or bothered to make things right or pay the vet bill for her care. They've forever broken my trust and lost me as a client. read more

We've used Poochie's when I come to visit my elderly mother for her dog. Poochie's has been amazing in handling her dog that isn't trained, that is unfamiliar with a leash much less a groomer. They have been amazing in their handling of her. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and patience. read more

So, I looked into a local mobile groomer, as my grate Dane has a hard time fitting in the car. They wanted $165 for a simple bath & nail trim!! Geez, I could go to a day spa for that price :/ I found Poochie's Pet Club, and have taken Cujo twice now. For $50 he comes home soft, nails trimmed, and squeaky clean ( wearing a cute bandana too). I REALLY appreciate that they are not only highly rated & affordable, but you get quality work too. Thank you ladies!! Keep in mind that they take venmo, PayPal, and a few other payment methods, but not Zelle or debit/credit cards. ( I got stuck on that one). And if they're a little curt or rushed on the phone, don't let that deter you, they are very nice people, just super busy which is understandable. read more

Took my beloved German Shepherd Floyd in today to get pampered and spoiled. He really needed a bath, his nails trimmed, and all the excess fur that he had removed. The staff at Poochies were very friendly and accomodating. Floyd was a little nervous at first since he is not used to me leaving him with strangers, but when I picked him up he was in very high spirits, and knew he had been spoiled and pampered. I truly believe he very much enjoyed his visit here. We will be coming back regularly! I would highly recommend Poochies. I had heard good things about them through the grapevine, but they exceeded my expectations. They really did give Floyd "The works" and the joy he had after I picked him up was plain as day. I wish I had an after photo of my little baby after she got groomed here. We were able to get squeezed in on Friday afternoon. Nicole and her coworker did such a great job, on my Zo. Her fur was even, her nails were nicely trimmed. What was great for me was that realized they didn't take credit/debit I was able to Venmo. I definitely recommend taking your little baby here versus going to Petco or Petsmart. read more

The lady took her in even though we didn't have an appointment; since this is my first dog I wasn't very sure what I wanted, all the haircuts before made her look all squared. I liked it bc they kept her hair short, while keeping her dog look. Their prices are also very reasonable, and what I liked the most... My dog wasn't shivering or scared when I got her back. Let me start by saying, this place is AWESOME! It's a little rough on the outside (fortunately, they just had a new parking strip put in!), but out of all the other groomers we've been to (Pet Envy was a nightmare), these ladies are the only ones I truly trust my fluff baby, Beauty, with! There are two primary groomers, Sarah & Nicole, both incredibly kind & easy to talk to. Nicole is Beauty's groomer, she always does a fantastic job, and the price is great! The most important thing to me is, you can really see that they not only aim to do a wonderful job, but they actually CARE about the pups they work on. It used to be so traumatic taking Beauty to get groomed, and she'd be even more traumatized picking her up, but when I come to get her after a haircut now, she's all happy & smiling!! Poochie's will be our grooming spot for as long as we're both around! lol read more

I can't give these fools any stars. (had to give one star to post this) If you want your dog shaved, fine, use these "professionals". But if you want your dog Professionally groomed, don't go here. Example: my instructions, when asked how I want my Chow groomed was, "retain the Chow Chow look, just half the lenghth.". Their response , "Okay.". What I returned to was a SHORT haired (3/8") shave job with bare ass and poofy tail. I was SO shocked, I paid my bill (even a tip - WTF) and left. NEVER to return. The owner is so nice (white lady with brownish blonde hair....I think that's the ownerlol), and she always makes me feel like my dogs will be safe and happy when I leave them. My dog Choco gets bad anxiety and Nacho is my old man. Neither one of them are fans of leaving the house but always seem happy when I pick them up! I'm writing this review to warm people about the horrible customer service and experience we had at this establishment. The other day we took five of our dogs here and two of the dogs came back with a rash and irritation from this salon, as the days progressed it got worse and even got infected. When we called today to speak to the owner I left a message and got a call back from Sarah (the owner) and I've never felt more disrespected and belittled during a phone call. I expressed my concerns with Sarah and she began to interrupt me and and try and discredit what I was saying. She then let me know to bring the dogs in and kept repeating herself like I was a child. We brought the dogs in a little bit ago and again we got met with the most condescending attitude from an owner we have ever experienced! As we showed her the dogs rashes and infections she rolled her eyes and again kept trying to down play the issue !! She eventually gave a refund but was extremely rude and unprofessional with every encounter with her. I warn anyone that is thinking about coming here to be weary that this is the type of person and encounter you will get if something goes wrong. Our dogs are in pain and this is the worst experience any pet owner could imagine. There are better groomers in the 559 area that will treat you and your animals with love and respect! read more

So.. I started taking my chihuhuahuhuha here about 2 years ago. Petsmart+ the others charge WAY too much for nail trimmings. I have been a faithful user of them and refer all the other folks to use them as well.. Their staff ALWAYS has a smile and seem like they WANT to help my dog.. wanted to make sure I help them as much as they love to help my puppy. I always pay 10$ for nail trims tho their prices are less... I tip em cuz they get my puppy in and out as fast as they can.. use to pay 15$ at petsmart and go farther into town for them too.. these folks are very loving to the animals and will continue to use them!! Thank you, Sarah for messaging me regarding my review and offering me a refund. I am sorry but I was not satisfied with the services due to the cuts on my dog and the cut itself. I have pictures of the cuts on my dog, they we're in different spots on his body. He wasn't cut once, he was cut many times. I don't recall my dog having that much matting and the groomer did not tell me about why he had to be shaved. Regardless, he was shaved way too short. His skin is so visible and he looks ridiculous. :( I have to keep him out of the sun so he doesn't get burned from the lack of hair. And his cuts are very visible, they have turned to scabs now. I can send you the pictures. I do not live in Visalia so I am unable to go down and get a refund in store. Can we work out a refund another way? Just took my boys (both rescue pups) in today for the first time and they were so happy after their brush, bath and nail trimming! One of my dogs (pug/dachshund mix) is high anxiety due to being mistreated by a previous owner. He did so good with Nicole! I loved these gals. They did a great job on my great pyrenees. After being kept by my ex for six months, his coat was in woeful condition and his claws were too long. Took our two dogs here based on the great comments. What a mistake. When I picked them up I was told they were unable to groom them again because our one dog didn't just stand there when grooming and they can't hold them because of grooming for so long Hmm.. maybe they should have asked ahead of time. Their weight and how the dogs are. And then came home, and both dogs were acting way out of character. Our one dog who is really good getting groomed was cut on his nose and his private area. They shaved both of them in their private areas way too much. Our other dog has cuts in his ears. Use CAUTION before taking your fur babies there. read more
