My first time coming here and it won't be my last. Anna used to groom my Bichon at Pet Envy. So when I found out she was grooming again and had her own shop, I knew I had to take my new fur baby to her. Shop is located downtown Tulare. Parking is definitely a challenge but they do have a couple of spots for "drop-offs/pick-ups" which is convenient. The waiting area is nice but I do prefer when I'm able to see the grooming take place. Here you are unable to see anything as grooming is separate from the waiting area and no windows to allow a view of the grooming area. Pet owners do have the option of having their pet hand dried or cage dried. I always opt for hand drying as my fur baby does not tolerate the cage drying well. They did a great job grooming my fur baby and they took about 2.5 hrs. My interaction with staff was good and she was friendly. Price is pretty average with other grooming businesses. read more

I asked them not to shave my Standard Poodle, they said her paws were matted so they had to be trimmed. They completely butchered them, did an uneven cut and didn't even call me first to let me know. $60 and I will never ever go back read more

The quality of service has down. We've come here for a while. They have not been listening to our requests for specific a specific cut for our matlipoo and recently we picked her up to be told her colar. The gal who brought her out was pretty rude and just show the collar and nothing else. Her cut was hideous. There was a gal there we loved so much and haven't seen her in a loooong time and I feel since she's been gone something has gone downhill. read more

As I think is common for the majority pet parents, there is always concern surrounding how your pet is treated while in the care of others. This is especially the case when in the care of groomers because we've all heard traumatic stories. Exaggerated or not we don't want to headline the next traumatic chapter in that book! Now, I have a big beautiful pitbull that's the biggest scaredy-cat ever. So much so that for the better part of 3 years we had a groomer come to our home once a month to simply trim his nails, his biggest fearful trigger. That seem to be the best solution, not perfect but close. Then came the unfortunate day when our groomer informed us she was going to be relocating out of the area. What to do?!? I did some research and after reading reviews for countless groomers I found The Dog House. I made an initial phone call and was pleased with the telephone reception. I got, they had time to talk to me and were very pleasant. It all seemed very promising so we would take the opportunity to check out their facility and potentially have them trim his nails if he seemed interested. The greeting was very loving, they knew how to handle him without any provocation on my part They took him back. I was very efficiently lead through the financial transaction and voila, out he comes happy and without a care in the world. I truly expected that he would be ready to bust the door down in a huge rush to get out and back into his car. I was very pleased but still reserved. Visit number two came soon enough, and it was a carbon copy of our first experience. Excellent care, efficient, financial transaction and most of all he was as relaxed and happy as he could possibly be. I still can't quite believe it. But I'm not here to question. I'm just going to accept the relief and be thankful. Based on these experiences I would highly recommend their services.Thank you Dog House staff! read more

We found this place on a whim, as none of the other dog groomers that we attempted to use in Visalia were able to successfully trim our miniature schnauzer. They were very accommodating, and got us on the schedule very quickly. They informed us that they had someone that specifically knew how to trim miniature schnauzers, which was a huge relief. The appointment took about an hour, and this was honestly one of the best grooming session we have ever had with her dog.
