Lisa claimed she has been in the pool business for 20 years. Apparently not true. We hired her -…read moreon a recommendation from Leslie's Pool Supplies - to open our pool for the summer. That usually includes removing the cover, which we had already done, checking the pump, filter, and chemical levels, then adding chemicals as needed, sweeping and vacuuming the pool. Lisa did not hook the pump up properly and cold have ruined our two year old pump. She did not check the filter. The lid on the filter was not tight and could have come off and seriously injured someone. She started to sweep the pool but did not finish. She began to vacuum the pool but, because the pump was not connected correctly, the pump wold not prime properly. So, rather than looking to see what was causing the problem and fixing it, she left. But, not before charging us $300 - more than we've ever paid. She also said we needed a new multi-port to be able to operate the filter correctly. We knew that. She charged us $121, which included the installation - no difficult task. She did not bring a new box that would have cost only about $12 more. I let her know we were unhappy.. She gave us two pool toys and later a $68 bottle of chemical. We hired another fellow who we had used previously, Monte Baughman. He charged us $90 and fixed everything - correctly hooking up the pump, which allowed the pump to prime correctly. He checked and tightened the filter and made sure everything was working. He also replaced the inlet device which increased the water pressure coming into the pool dramatically. He was shocked at what we had paid and what was, and was not done. He is the ONLY person we will use in the future to open, close, and if needed repair, our pool. I have told the manager at Leslie's Pool Supply to Stop referring folks to PoolMedics. Their company name is a total misnomer. We will never recommend them!!!
