I have stayed with Christina for so many years because she is so attentive during the sessions, as well as very thorough. I have seen her grow her studio from a tiny space with few retail offerings to a larger spa-like atmosphere offering a variety of services in addition to just sugaring. The studio is exceptionally clean, and Christina has always been very conscious of this aspect, particularly around the pandemic restrictions we all operated under for several years. Christina and her staff are very present to clients and strive to offer extras - flavored waters, hot teas, cups of snacks, soft lighting and music - that make each visit seem like a small spa escape. They make sure clients are aware of recommendations for post-sugaring care and offer products from their own stock for purchase. All the products carried at the studio are high quality, all natural products that Christina and her staff have used and can confidently recommend. There's plenty of shade and chairs when we went but I can see how it could get packed on a weekend. There's also shade in the bigger swimming area but not any in the shallow area where the babies play. There's two slides, one for the babies and one for older kids. Life jackets to borrow but we brought our own, which could come in handy on weekends when it's crowded. There's also a snack bar with plenty of options and ice cream at the front desk. And it's definitely comforting to see all the lifeguards (I counted 9) watching over all the kids and being really attentive about it and actually doing their job. Highly recommend coming here if you have young kiddos! We'll definitely be back!

Jones Center …read more.. there's ample parking ... two locker rooms ... six showers and plenty of toilets (which is always a good thing); however, the main attraction for me is the Power Aquatics Program offered Monday - Saturday at 10:00 AM. Amy (Mon., Wed., Fri.) and Diane (Tues., Thurs., Sat.), the instructors, are proficient and engaging. Each workout is different and often incorporate a 'tool of the trade' such as noodles, kickboards and dumbbells. The pool is well-maintained and though classes are large, there is always plenty of room for kicks and punches in all directions! I found participants to be welcoming to a newbie like me. Many of us started the program following replacement and/or repair surgeries where PT left off. I attribute my increased range of left arm/shoulder motion, strength in my right (totally replaced) knee, as well as improved balance to my aquatic workouts ... the water is so forgiving. Classes can be purchased as a series of five ($25.00) or ten ($50.00) and must be used within three or six months, respectively ... the first class is free. The neat thing about this feature is that classes can be taken at either Jones or the pool in Park West. Power Aquatics has become a priority for me. Try it ... you'll be hooked!
