I requested a locksmith to open my car at 8:00 am and was told it would be 30-45minutes. They did not show up for 2 hours. After calling twice I was told another tech was coming because the first one was new and got behind. If someone would have called and let me know they were that far behind, I could have called someone who was faster. My son was an hour late to school. read more

Oh my, this company saved my life a couple of times. Once I locked myself out of house at 10:00 at night. Who wants to come out that late? But Pop A Lock did, and had me safely inside with a couple minutes. Another time I locked myself out of a bedroom on a holiday (Father's Day, I think it was). I just bought my house and needed it rekeyed this morning. I had this scheduled two days ago for someone to come at 8:30am this morning. Not only did he not show up, a half hour later my husband had to locate his number, contact him and ask where he was, and the guy said he had something come up. This is not great customer service, I'm going with a local company, like I should have in the first place. Update: The company then tried to pin everything on us, saying it was our fault, even lying about offering to send someone else our immediately, which did not happen. It was much later in the say, after my husband and I already explained our short window of time available, and acted like we inconvenienced them. Soon after we had it rekeyed by a better and more local company, the owner of this business restarted the drama on Thanksgiving Day to try to blame this on me. It's completely unprofessional to bother an angry past customer on a holiday like that. They still never apologized for completely inconveniencing my family during this stressful time, all they wanted was their reputation fixed, but they didn't want to admit their mistake and take blame. I had just moved in to town the day before. It was night, snowing and I locked myself out of my new house. First guy a called claimed 24/7 service but said his guy was "too far away to help me and he was at church (???) and he didn't know anybody who could help me. Next one I called said that they could not get to me but recommended Pop A Lock. Thirty minutes later Pop A Lock was at my door letting me into my new house. That night I made an appointment to have them come out and re-key my entire house. They showed up on time, were extremely professional and the cost was competitive with all I compared them too. I recently purchased a home from a seller. I decided a good rule of thumb was to have the locks rekeyed. I called Pop-A-Lock and spoke to a very nice lady and told her what I needed done. She took my name and number and said a Locksmith would call me back with a estimate within a hour. Thirty minutes later I received a call back. The price I was quoted for five locks was much lower than I would have imagined! The Locksmith said they could be here within the hour. I had to leave, so we set it up for the next day 11AM-1PM. He said he would call me thirty minutes ahead of time before arriving. Called me at 10:45 and arrived at 11:05. Now that's service!! He and his co-worker rekeyed all my locks in less then one hour! They were even able to key them so one key fits all the locks. The Pop-A-Lock employees were polite and did a very neat and satisfactory job! I would highly recommend Pop-A-Lock for your Locksmith needs. I will sure use them again should the need arise! read more

I have actually used Pop A Lock before (at our business) and they were prompt, affordable, courteous...couldn't have asked for any better. That was a few years ago. They opened a Firesafe filing cabinet for us and on another occasion replaced all external locks for the office. I have called since Friday (six days now) trying to get someone out here. Yesterday when I called, I was told, "He picked up the ticket, he will be there today"...I still haven't heard one word! I have recommended Pop A Lock to friends as well as professionals. I will not recommend them again. Extremely disappointed especially since this is a medical office and leaving the office unsecured is out of the question. It's wonderful to be home. Roddy and I took Mom and Dad out to eat for Father's Day today. When we got back to the shop I realized I did not have the key to our SUV. We looked all over the shop and could not find the key. The SUV was locked, so we thought the key was locked in the SUV. We tried everything we could to get the door open, after two hours of trying we called our roadside assistance. They sent Pop a Lock with in 20 minutes, the man that arrived had our door open in 5 minutes, such great service. We looked all over the SUV and still could not find the key. We call Pop a Lock again, within an hour they came back out on a Sunday. The Man that came, had a van that he made keys inside. He took the inside panel of the door off and got all of the information he needed. In 15 minutes he made us two new keys for $109.50. We are blessed to have such a wonderful company in this area that works on Sundays, or we would still be at the shop. Lesson learned, have a spare set of keys. read more

I was told 30 minutes and I waited 1 hour in 45 minutes in the cold and rain. I was called after an hour and he said he was on the way. If they had been honest about the wait time I could have gone inside somewhere or called someone else. The guy was very nice and apologetic but told me he was on his way home and his boss called him back to help me. This was only at 4 pm. The "boss" should have called me to let me know what was going on. Very bad experience. read more
