Well, you never WANT to have to use a service like this...but if you are unfortunate enough to need it, Pop-A-Lock is a pretty solid choice. I managed to lose my car key while on vacation, so I arrived at the airport with no way to get into or start my car. Awesome. I called a few places and liked the quote I got from Pop-A-Lock. They met me at my car and had the doors open in minutes. They inspected the lock and let me know they could give me an option that was much cheaper than originally quoted, which was fantastic. Less than 30 minutes later, I was on my way home (total damage was about $100, for the new key and the service). Have to knock off a star because it did take them a LONG time to get to me. First estimate was 45 minutes, then they called back to say 90 minutes...ultimately it took just over 2 hours for the technician to arrive. My situation wasn't urgent, so I didn't mind having to wait for a little while....but if I'd known it would be more than 2 hours, I would have called a few other companies or found a comfortable place to camp out. read more

Super fast and very professional! My car wouldn't start and I called in at 1240, he was there in less than 20 minutes and the whole orderal was over in less than 45, including the 15 minutes of running my car so that the battery would be charged. He was super nice and even told me the different auto parts stores in the area so i can get my battery checked and make sure that it has a full charge and does not need to be replaced. She was kind, caring and moved swiftly while explaining everything as she went.... car started right up. I should have said in the beginning.. It was11:45 pm and I was stuck with my 2008 PT Cruiser right outside the new NEMOURS Children Hospital in Lake Nona, when on my way out of the emergency room, with my 5 year old baby girl, I came to a new reality test of life, my car was "dead" on its tracks. It would not start for nothing in this world, and, I still had a 45 minute ride waiting ahead of me, since I lived around 26 miles from where I was tonight. Nevertheless, POP=A=LOCK, came to the rescue, jump-starting my vehicle after an unbelievable wait of around 35 minutes, when normally, it can take up to 45 minutes to an hour, before any other company will show-up to provide a service. I am back home safe, with my daughter doing much better, thank God, and still, wondering on the blessing this company was for me tonight. They were really very professional, courtious and very helpfull, and all thanks to having them contracted with my Roadside Assistance Service from my auto insurance policy. Christmas Eve as I was getting ready to head home, I got out of my car while it was on & closed the door to say goodbye to other friends. Well, my car locked automatically, which I did not know happens. Anthony was the gentleman that came and his personality and demeanor were amazing! Anthony was sincere, funny and light hearted about having to work on Christmas, made the whole situation so much easier, as well as making me feel better about it all. The service was fast, I'll give them that. But $55 for a service that took a total of maybe 30 min? That's wildly overpriced. It's not like someone had to drive out into the middle of nowhere to come help me. I feel seriously taken advantage of. And when I called Pop-A-Lock to state my concerns, the gentleman I spoke to had the audacity to tell me he disagrees that they're overpriced (as if I asked what his opinion was) and proceeded tell me very sarcastically that he's "sorry" I feel that way. Our service tech was great but the dispatch set him up for failure. I was told that he would be there at 2:30, I called at 2:25 and they said oh yeah he is close to you, any minute he'll be there. Nope, I call at 3:00 same response, my tech calls at 3:08 and says that he'll get to me in 40 minutes. What? Apparently my original tech got stuck at another job and he was just reassigned him to me. Which is fine, had I not called in twice to find out where he was and been told ten mins, twice!!! If they had told me I'm sorry your original tech was held up, I would've been ok but no one had that courtesy. So, we sat until almost 4:15 when he showed up. So dispatch was awful but I think it was Jason our service , he was awesome. Just frustrating to sit around being told one thing when it's something else. Very disappointed with their service I made an appointment for 12 o'clock for Friday, switched my schedule around and nobody showed up and I did not get a courtesy call I had to call him back to find out that the guy that was supposed to come out called out but I was never informed. We called due to needing to unlock our house. We were quoted a price and given a window to expect the technician. The technian contacted us and let us know he was on the way. Although they were quick, the rates are absolutely ridiculous. I locked my keys in my car so gave them a call and was told there would be someone to me in 25-30 minutes. The guy arrived on time and it took him less than a minute to get into my car. I was 4.5 miles away from the Pop A Lock brick and mortar and he said they charged $40 to drive out to me and $65 to pop the lock. $105 to unlock my car is insanely high and completely overpriced. read more

The tip of the key to my condo broke off while trying to unlock the door at midnight last night. I called a few places that claimed to be 24/7, but no one answered. The Pop-A-Lock agents were friendly and got me connected with Jason, who gave me the price to have a new key made (which was reasonable for the hour) and told me he'd be there in an hour or so. About an hour and change later, he arrived at my complex and quickly got me a key to get into my place. I really appreciate the work he did for me. So he showed up and said it was hard to open and this is all said before he touched the car. Price? $159. A $100 dollar price jump. So then came the time to see how hard this would be. Used Pop-A-Lock through my Verizon roadside assistance for fuel delivery. Completely unprofessional. I had called immediately after hanging up with Verizon to inquire if they could bring more than the allotted 3 gallons. They stated that they can only bring $7.00 worth, so not even close to the full allotment. Then when I called Verizon to ask that a different company be dispatched, the manager at Pop-A-Locks, Josh, flat out lied and said they had already dispatched someone before I had called them. I have no problem with not being able to bring more gas, however, the lying by the management is completely unprofessional. The people they dispatch are actually friendly like the other reviewers said. However, the people above them are dishonest and only looking to steal your money! read more

I called them when the keys fell out of my pocket getting out of the car and were locked inside. I was a clergy member in the only clergy parking in front of the hospital I was visiting. I gave the dispatcher this very specific location when I called as well as my contact number. I was told 30 minutes and probably less. After almost an hour I called again. After almost another hour I called again only to be berated and literally cursed out with profanities including the F-Word. I informed the hospital of the treatment and abusive language used and they advised they would not be recommending this vendor any longer. Stay away unless you're a glutton for punishment. Interestingly, their website says they are "BBB Accredited" but when I tried to file a complaint, the Orlando business is not part of the BBB. read more
