Personally, am a big fan of flavor and spice. So, bought a package of jalapeño cheddar, chipotle, bacon bratwurst and a smoked sausage. The jalapeño cheddar is really good just be forewarned that it is spicy jalapeño. Also, same with the chipotle sausage is not for the faint of heart. The bacon bratwurst was good, the flavor of bacon came through. The smoked sausage also had a nice smokiness to it. All said and done, can't wait to return to experience the others I didn't get to try! Most sausages are frozen and makes it easier to travel and keep longer if not ready to use.

Knowing they had gone bad, I still went ahead and took a bite and the taste was as disappointing as I imagined they would be. They were only 3.99 for a pack so I decided to let it go. Now, had it been the usual 9$ I pay in New York, then I would have rushed back in there for my money. My suggestion to the business, since you obviously can't open and check every single chocolate, open the packs, and sell them individually for 25 or 50 cents a piece. Although you might lose a couple of dollars per pack, @25cents, ($1.49) or make an extra dollar @ 50c it sure beats the bad review and bad feeling for the customer who wasted $4 for stale chocolate. Considering here in Texas, that's half of someone's a hourly wage. Anyway, as far as the business, they have a good selection of Indian spices, some Peruvian spices, some Colombian candy/ which at this point I wouldn't trust, frozen Colombian and Indian foods. I had tried to go to the huge Asian styled building called Oriental Imports off Gateway several times but it was closed and boarded up even though Google Maps said it was open. Turns out it's closed and the owners have moved across the street literally and have a smaller space called Oriental Market. It's been open for about 6 months and I swear I've died and gone to Chinatown. It was "Big Trouble" for my wallet alright. I wanted to buy everything there...all the tchotchkes and snacks and tools and clothing and decor! From Chinese cheongsams, to Korean handbooks, to Japanese kimonos, clothing is definitely authentic and you don't have to worry about sizing since you can see the fit there, unlike online. The market portion has a lot of snacks and sauces and basically they've taken the most well known and tasty brands and stocked them, so they've weeded out the hundreds of off brands a bigger marketplace stocks in the hopes that you'll try another maybe cheaper soy sauce etc. It's just easier to find quality stuff here, imo. I got a lot of snacks and even got a Kaiju t-shirt that vaguely reminds me of the Jurassic Park logo, so it's mildly ironic. The quality of the items were far better than the actual Chinatown stuff I grew up with in Los Angeles, but we'll see as I use them over time. I'm so happy I don't have to wait to get my Chinese ointments and wait for Weeee to ship my stuff online. I give it to her, and since it is a personal name, she gets mad, slams her hand on the counter, and states the business name instead of asking 'what is the business name?', she just assumes. The Manager eventually joined the call and told me I had to pick up my clams that day (we wouldn't even have made it in time as they were about to close) or I would lose my money because that was our responsibility. I asked if he could just give me a credit for the dead seafood and the clams they kept. I took a video of the dead crayfish and weighed them in a scale. He absolutely refused and became hostile on the phone. I told him I would call my bank, and take to social media so consumers would know who they are dealing with. They kept taunting me and deleting my comments. He posted a sign about bags and posted that on TikTok, then also posted something stating "if you don't know how to handle live seafood, don't buy it". I have lived on the coast for a large part of my life and I'm very familiar with handling seafood. This is incredibly childish and unprofessional. He bought them and brought them directly to our house, on ice, to keep in our freezer for my husband to cook this past weekend. Well, upon opening the vacuum seal, there was a smell worse than any fish market. Sometimes when meats are packaged this way, the gas gets trapped and it's stinky upon opening. My husband trimmed the fat, rinsed the meat, and we let it sit in our fridge, hoping the smell would go away. It, unfortunately, did not. We had our neighbors come over and smell the ribs, just to make sure we weren't going crazy. They agreed, the meat was bad. My husband wrapped the meat back up and tossed it in the freezer so it would stop stinking up our house and could be returned. Our friend brought the meat back to the butcher today and they kept the meat, but refused to give him a refund! One package was not even opened, they apparently refused to open it, and I bet they turn around and sell it to someone else. We looked this place up on Google after notifying our friend the meat was bad. Turns out they have a reputation of selling spoiled beef ribs and not refunding their customers. Do your research before buying!

Nothing is cheap these days but taste is something most people would pay a little extra for so this place is well worth it if you are preparing a special dinner.
