To rich out any Emergency exits it was kinda imposible in case of an emergency, all pathways from our tables were effectively blocked. Especially dangerous with a 6 year old child and 74 year old person (my mother) with limited mobility. Nowhere on Ticketmaster or the venue description was it mentioned that the seats would be high stools/tables unsuitable for kids or elderly, this feels like misleading advertising. The venue was extremely hot and not to much ventilation; my mother nearly fainted during the 3.5 hour show. Security was rude and dismissive ('What do you want me to do?'), while the box office tried but couldn't help. Paid $250 for 5 tickets and barely saw the performance. Demanding a full refund plus compensation for the inconvenience and potential harm. Avoid this venue if you have families, children, or elderly in your group serious accessibility and safety issues!

These days they go by the name of Poptone but who cares? The were performing songs from all the catalogs of all their old bands, stuff I thought I would never, ever hear live again. There's no such thing as a bad seat here, no matter where you find yourself, you'll get a good view of the stage and the acoustics here are OK. They don't have a full bar but the drinks aren't over-priced (unlike at other places) and the staff and bouncers were pretty chill.

As a music lover with a very sensible ear, I have shivers every time I cross the threshold of this magical concert hall, which is built in compliance with the most stringent international norms for acoustics. You can hear everything. Wether you're in the parterre, or the balcony, or the lodges, trust me, the acoustic is so perfect you can literally hear EVERYTHING. The last classical music show I went to was the final of the 2016 Montreal International Violin Competition, in June 2016. Every bow archet, from the seamless, lyric legato sound to the perky spiccato bow stroke, every whisper of the violinist between music sentences, every sound dropped so perfectly to my ears I wanted it to last forever. (musicgasm) Last night, for the first time, I went to listen to a Jazz concert in the Maison Symphonique de Montreal: virtuoso of Trumpet Ibrahim Maalouf was playing. I was wondering if the architecture was designed to showcase Jazz music too, and now I can confirm it is. Ibrahim Maalouf has a very precise and subtile playing : he can perfectly articulate the quartertones that are tricky for other trumpet players to articulate, and, oh my gosh, the way he can make his trumpet whisper, yowl, sing, -no I'm not a groupie-, it's incredible. In this magical concert hall where not a single decibel is lost, that was the Jazz concert I enjoyed the most in my entire life (and I saw a lot of Jazz concerts). I can't wait for my next visit! And I don't know when they are going to play the big organ that they inaugurated in 2014 but I look forward to it.

The wood interior is very reminiscent of the Strathmore in DC or the Walt Disney concert hall in LA, and the acoustics are excellent. Like the aforementioned, there are panels on the ceiling that can be adjusted to alter the sound of the orchestra below. The entire concert hall feels very bright and natural. The interweaving of certain wall elements gives the impression that the structure was grown instead of built. In a word, it's beautiful.

We asked if we could move to the balcony and we were allowed to go up for the second half of the concert. WOW! The balcony was amazing and an experience for the Orlando Consort. Just amazing! The seats in the balcony are more comfortable too. The stain glass windows are just wonderful and then I went up and realized these were Tiffany glass. This venue is well worth the visit to see any concert and see all the lovely stain glass. The staff working were all super friendly and helpful. The place is super clean. The bathrooms are super clean as well. TIP: Balcony seats are where you want to sit in this lovely place. Not only are the seats more comfortable, but the acoustics really make a difference in a live performance.

It's an intimate venue with great acoustics. Many of the stained glass windows are by the famous Louis Tiffany. We purchased floor tickets and sat in seats G16 and G18, excellent seats. Since the concert was not sold out, we asked if we could move to the balcony at intermission. The staff graciously allowed us to change seats. The acoustics in the balcony are much better compared to the floor. Overall cleanliness: excellent Bathroom cleanliness: excellent Wifi: free wifi but ver slow. Ran an Nperf test and it measured 10.6 down, 10.6 up. Not fast by any measure and this was on a day with only 25% of the seats occupied. Staff: pleasant staff Tip: Buy balcony seats. The benches in the balcony are more comfortable than the chairs on the floor, and the acoustics are better in the balcony.
