We…read moremoved from South Carolina to Cary in 2001, and when the end of November came around, we realized we needed to find a Christmas tree farm. Back Achers Christmas Tree Farm is the answer! It is a family-owned business, and everyone working there is so nice. I love seeing the owner out there in his bright orange cap. He always has a smile on his face. As is true with all things that come from nature, some years have better "tree pickins" than others. However, I cut down my tree here the weekend after Thanksgiving, and there are still plenty of beautiful trees available. Back Achers provides the saws. You grab one when you arrive and walk down the fresh pine smelling aisles of trees. If you don't want to cut down your own tree, but still want to support a local business, they do sell pre-cut trees as well. The prices are very affordable. I found my 8-footer this year for $32. They also provide a $1-off coupon on their website. After you cut down your tree, they shake it all out, wrap it, and strap it to your car. I highly recommend making a trip to Back Achers part of your holiday tradition!

They had items such as, jams, jellies, relishes and other canned products. Also, there were many other Christmas decorations. The employees were extremely helpful, courteous and efficient. I highly recommend if you are looking for that special tree or other items, you give this place a try.

The Family Farm on Avent Ferry was easy to locate and has ample parking. Empty wagons are set up out front for use transporting pumpkins. Numerous pumpkins line the shop inside and out. We gathered up our pumpkins and used the outdoor checkout table. After paying, we enjoyed a meal from the hot dog stand. There is also an acai bowl shop and a food truck. Only issue was the Goblin pumpkins were listed as 50%, however, the ladies at the checkout table insisted they were 25% off. Even though they were situated near the sign saying 50% off, they rung them up as 25% off and then didn't adjust the signage. I understand that incorrect signage can happen, but they should fix it and make it clear that they are charging a different amount than advertised.

They used to give you the cardboard box house when you bought a bear, but now they are extra. There are strict and well enforced safety protocols in place to keep everyone safe, but it didn't take away from the experience a bit. Making a wish together, my husband and I, to put into this little stuffed lion, was a super tender moment. The staff was joyous and kind, and involved in the process. I choose a lion, and a Hufflepuff outfit for my buddy. I do wish there were more bear choices, and animal choices that were not all characters from shows and stuff. Came here in April for strawberry picking and it was such an amazing experience!…read more I am not exaggerating these are probably the best strawberries I've ever had in my life! They were so sweet and firm and large! I had a lot of fun picking exactly what I wanted The premises were gorgeous. They had other items besides strawberries. They had a nursery and outside a bunch in plants and small trees. I ended up walking out with an olive tree. It is still alive though has not produced any olives yet. Will come back next year for more strawberry picking!

While we waited for the event to begin, we walked around the shop and loved seeing the beautiful variety of flowers with everything from potted plants and hanging baskets to herbs and vegetables you can take home and plant yourself. When we headed back outside, we noticed a huge strawberry field behind the store, plus an ice cream area serving fresh strawberry ice cream, which was such a sweet surprise. It made the whole experience even more special. Such a cute spot for families, especially during springtime!

The quality & size of the tree was better than I expected and the gentleman that delivered my tree was very courteous and polite even though I had forgot about my appointment and left him sitting in my driveway for 30+ mins. After that Experience I also ordered a 6' tree for $40 for my daughter that is scheduled to be delivered this Friday. I will update with her experience after she receives it
