It is a family-owned business, and everyone working there is so nice. I love seeing the owner out there in his bright orange cap. He always has a smile on his face. As is true with all things that come from nature, some years have better "tree pickins" than others. However, I cut down my tree here the weekend after Thanksgiving, and there are still plenty of beautiful trees available. Back Achers provides the saws. You grab one when you arrive and walk down the fresh pine smelling aisles of trees. If you don't want to cut down your own tree, but still want to support a local business, they do sell pre-cut trees as well. The prices are very affordable. I found my 8-footer this year for $32. They also provide a $1-off coupon on their website. After you cut down your tree, they shake it all out, wrap it, and strap it to your car. I highly recommend making a trip to Back Achers part of your holiday tradition!

The woman that was helping us said they hadn't started the seeds yet, but there was a volunteer near the plant about a yard tall, she pulled it out of the ground and handed it to my son-in-law and then handed him a seed head and what to do with it. Memorable is too small a word.

They also have a great sale on tulip bulbs at $1 each. We met the owner and multiple staff members and they were so nice and gracious. There is hot chocolate and hot cider to drink as you peruse the trees. The parking lot is a bit small it's about 20 cars but we went early on a Friday morning we had no issues. They also have a really awesome tent full of poinsettias and Christmas cactuses. there's also a nice wood-burning fire going on so you can smell the smells of the season.

They had tables set up where we had tools to mix different dried herbs, spices, and got to pick fresh herbs from the garden. We learned the medicinal properties of each herb and how it can enhance specific dishes and recipes. The woman hosting the event blessed us with homemade jam and homemade lavender scones, as she just got back from Scotland. This was a memorable event and the garden is absolutely perfect. Definitely recommend volunteering and attending local events there.

I…read morespoke to a young lady named Grace and she is so hard to get kind people to speak to you to go check items for you and do things that they're actually supposed to do nowadays Grace was so delightful so helpful so knowledgeable she answered questions and even gave me more information on how to check and find out what I needed before making the drive. I actually called the store and spoke to the store manager whose name was David just so I could tell him how pleased I was with his employee and he was just as I love going to Logan's, but just to know that I can call and ask questions and not be rushed off the phone or just told anything or given the famous "well I will check and see and the answer is they never check and see" was just totally awesome so if you guys ever need anything for your plants, as I said, I have been going there for years the customer service is superb. They also have wreaths and the ball lights that they made...they are beautiful. Prices are high but to be expected when you buy a Christmas tree once a year. It seems that if you wait a little longer like a week or so after Thanksgiving, the prices did decrease about $50 or more. I guess they are trying to get rid of the trees. So if you can be patient, highly recommend waiting a week after Thanksgiving and you can get somewhat of a deal but to me they are still high lol. Still a beautiful tree!!

The farm staff were very welcoming and willing to answer our questions. There was a little outdoor marketplace where vendors were selling their merchandise -- mostly unique handmade items. There is also a small store that reminds you of a vintage country store. Raw honey, old fashioned candy, and much, much more. The store has a vintage vibe but they are modern enough to accept Apple Pay. Score! There are beautiful plants and flowers outdoors. Also you can find yard/garden decor. To wrap up our visit, we bought freshly popped popcorn and ordered handmade milkshakes to go.
