This was BY FAR the best wine tour/tasting I've ever been on! Myself and a group of girls (total of 8) came out to Blue Ridge this weekend to celebrate our friend's Bachelorette party! Everything about this tour was amazing. But the shining star... our tour guide Jerome! He was an absolutely perfect guide and great guy! (We were very sad to say bye to him at the end of the day!) He was SUPER knowledgeable about wine and was able to explain things in a way that was easy to understand, and we learned so much from him! He took us to three great wineries, we got to spend about 2 hours at each I think is what it came out too. All the wines we had were fantastic and with his help, we were able to get so much out of the tasting experience. Since we were staying in Blue Ridge, we had the option to drive to one of the wineries to meet Jerome, and then he drove us to the wineries from there. He was a great & safe driver, the van was comfortable and he even had water and snacks for us! Also, they provided lunch for us at the first winery! They had a great choice of options (including vegetarian) and it was delicious!! (I personally got the brisket tacos and it was so good!) It was six of us celebrating my daughter's bachelorette. Creed was a perfect driver and he took great care of us. Even at the wineries, he was there for us. I spilled a glass of wine, the glass broke and splashed wine in one of our party's eye. The winery staff came over to help but so did Creed. I'm not even sure how he knew but he was there helping. I went with a group of 13 to celebrate the bride! We were picked up on time by Mr. Red in the sprinter. He helped us on the sprinter and explained how the day would look. The owner stopped by briefly to introduce herself and thank us. Black owned and family owned. We were able to control our music and the ride was smooth. We made 3 tasting stops, a bathroom break stop and a lunch pick up stop. Everyone was satisfied with their lunch options as it was all good. We had tacos,cobb salads, chicken salad sandwiches, and a vegan vegetable and rice. From my understanding the host of the group selected the winery, I don't remember the name of our stops. I'm not a huge wine drinker but enjoyed the views and lessons. Tip, you can bring food to the winery, atleast the ones we did. So I would suggest bringing some picnic type snacks. After lunch wore off we needed food, but we did have little snacks and water included in our package, but drinking so much we needed food. Mr. Red was excellent, he knows a lot about wine and was able to answer our questions and tell us the layout of the different wineries. They were all self guided wineries, so we mostly took pictures and drank our flights of wines. I would definitely use them again. Definitely a great option, so you arent drinking and driving. What an amazing experience from the beginning to the end! LaTanya and Chuck have a great business! They were wonderful host the entire time. I highly recommend making reservations sooner than later because they tend to book up pretty fast. My friends and I planned this tour for the Sunday before Fourth of July. The prices are reasonable and it includes transportation, your meal for the day, and 3 vineyards/wineries. It was definitely worth the money. We were initially supposed to drive to the meeting spot, but I received a call from LaTanya saying her driver would come pick us up! This was perfect because after the long day, I definitely didn't feel like driving. Dany, our driver, came to pick us up the next morning. Dany was great! She provided snacks and waters along the way. She also had a great personality and a fun spirit. On our ride, we made a stop to pick up others and a stop at the gas station. This was a half way point to stretch, use the restroom, and get additional snacks if you needed them. On the way back, we made another stop at the gas station and to dropped off the other guest at their cars then Dany brought us home. All of the vineyards/wineries were nice and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. I plan to book again in the future and will share with others to do the same. I haven't gotten to go on a tour just yet. But this is for their stellar customer service. I had planned a trip for April if this year and booked a tour with them. I got insurance just in case and was thankful I did since Covid hit. I called them and decided I'd just delay my tour and see how things went through the summer and if I'd be able to travel to Atlanta this year. Unfortunately I couldn't. I had THE BEST time with Pop The Cork Wine Tours! This was my second time visiting vineyards, but by far the best experience ever! Chuck and LaTanya are exceptional hosts!! I felt welcomed from the moment I met them and boarded the bus. The bus ride was amazing & it didn't take long at all to reach our destinations. The seats were really plush and comfortable & they provided snacks & were prepared with ice breaker games! I made several new friends after many glasses of wine!! Our first stop was a vineyard on Currahee Mountain. I learned so much; including how to drink wine correctly, how to tell if the wine is good/fresh & that I actually like wines made from various fruits. I'm officially a wine snob!! The second stop was Stonewall Creek. Our hostess at this location was hilarious!! We tried so many good red wines and the food was good!! I had a turkey sandwich, tomato basil soup & cookies. The food definitely came at the right time to soak up the wine. Our third stop, Serenity Cellars, provided live music and of course, more wine. The music was amazing! I can't remember the performers name, but i'm sure she'll be famous soon. I loved the venue, felt like we were in Europe. We tried so many delicious wines. The last stop was awesome, Sweet Acres Farms. The cows welcome you as you arrive. I found my favorite wine at this spot, Dry White!! This past weekend, we celebrated my girlfriend's birthday with the most wonderful experience via Pop the Cork Wine Tours. First and foremost, our experience with Mrs. La Tanya from booking until drop off was INCREDIBLE. Our attendee numbers fluctuated quite a bit up until the last minute and she was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond at every single turn. Lucky for us, we had the pleasure of Mrs. La Tanya herself picking us up in her beautiful sprinter from our home on Sunday morning and being our host for the entire day. Ultimately, it ended up being about 8 or 9 of us. We had plenty of space for our group and had the most comfortable ride, with Mrs. La Tonya even stopping halfway there and halfway back for everyone to be able to take a quick restroom break. We went to three different stops and had a WONDERFUL time. At each stop, the staff greeted Mrs. La Tanya by name (and Chuck...who we didn't get a chance to meet and by the end of the day felt like we knew him as much as everyone talked about how great of a person he is). We were given even better treatment than we could've imagined and I think that's got to be the result of the strong relationships Mrs. La Tanya has forged with every place we visited. She was extremely knowledgable, coordinated our lunch and snacks and even helped us get some great photographs! We tried a number of different wines at each stop, had time to roam the grounds and just sit and talk with one another. It was genuinely a one of a kind experience. By the time we made it back home, we'd already started trying to figure out when we could do it again. Affectionately known as Uncle Chuck and Aunt LaTanya, they have established a topnotch business. The bonus is that you're supporting a high quality black-owned business too. I literally did a Google search for an interactive adult birthday activity, and this business popped up in my results. The activity also checked the box for identifying a COVID-19 friendly event. I immediately sent an email with a few clarifying questions and received a very prompt response will all the answers. The Saturday tours quickly sellout. So, I reserved a Private Wine Tour for me and 9 of my closest SistaGirls to celebrate my birthday. We had a blast enjoying a full day of fun and friendship as we were chauffeured by Uncle Chuck and Ms. Donna to explore 4 wineries. All the details were provided to assure we were properly prepared for our wine tour (e.g. pick-up location, agenda, proper attire tips, etc.). The 9:30 am pick-up location in Dunwoody, GA was very convenient. We parked for free in the secured parking garage (free parking up to 24 hours). We had the Mercedes sprinter which perfectly accommodated the 10 of us plus the 2 Pop the Cork Wine Tours staff (Uncle Chuck and Ms. Donna). The tour included snacks and bottled water on the sprinter--good not cheap snacks and lots of options. We stopped for a health break at RaceTrac before making it to our first winery. Each of the four North Georgia wineries we toured had a unique vibe and experience (Currahee Vineyards & Winery, Serenity Cellars, The Cottage Vineyards & Winery, and Cavender Creek Vineyards & Winery). The Private Tour includes a gourmet picnic lunch that included 4 options to satisfy all dietary needs (e.g. turkey w/cheese sandwich, veggie wrap, smoked brisket tacos, and chicken salad on croissant). The catered lunch was delish! Upon reserving the tour, you complete an online form for each guest asking about their wine preference and if they're celebrating a special occasion. Both me and another guest were pleasantly surprised with a birthday gift bag filled with goodies. This was a nice and thoughtful touch to the tour! The recommended tip for the driver was $20 per guests which we were all happy to contribute to Uncle Chuck for his safe driving skills, wine lessons, and friendly spirit. Great tour!! We came here for wine tour for a bachelorette party. We were picked up at 1130 and the tour ended around 6. They are very organized and it was so nice they gave us snacks and water. The drive is about 90 minutes from the city so they were very accommodating and comfortable. You even get lunch with the tour. God bless "uncle chuckie" for dealing with 12 women amped up and crazy on a bachelorette party. He was very sweet and personable. It was a plus that he is a professional photographer and took pictures of our day! We visited four wineries: 1. Cenita- great view, cute dog, and personable staff. Here is where we learned how to properly taste wine. I love that the owners still live on the property and their dog was sweet. 2. Stonewall creek tasting room- this isn't an actual winery but a place where they are housed to taste. This is where we had lunch. We were all pleasantly surprised by the lunch. Based off the descriptions it sounded like a packed lunch type but the food was like Panera. Very great quality. 3. Serenity cellars- this was my favorite! Beautiful winery and delicious wine. I loved the dolce dessert wine. It tasted just like chocolate. It's a shame they don't ship wine!! They also have live music and cook your own pizza in the outside pizza oven on Friday's. This would be a great wedding spot. 4. The cottage vineyard- amazing views! I love how their wines have a personalized picture of the staff on them. Great tour and worth the money definitely. Where do I start!? This was the highlight of the year! First off Tania is the most beautiful and sweetest down to earth woman you'll ever meet. Her knowledge for wines and relaxation are on expert level.
