Prices increased immediately, they wanted payments made in person but nobody is ever there. Then they scam you by forcing you to make payments every month online impossible-then they charge you excessive late fees. No one is ever in the office except some guy who acts like he is a manager and ok's any problems like waiving the late fees. He is not and the management declines everything guy said and calls you stupid for believing him. I go to finally rid myself of this horrible place and move out, then the obese ruthless female manager was more than happy to add an imaginary $400 on my bill. You call them out on their scam and they laugh and just lock up your stuff until you pay. They have you sign a piece of paper that explicitly states anything you leave behind you forfeit and that they will not seek any more charges from your account. Surprise! They have tried 3 times in one week charging me another $350. Also leaving threatening messages on my phone. Had to have my bank manager call them to stop it with their BS. Even when I called their corporate office they were appalled and disgusted. ANY storage facility is better than these scam artists, hopefully someone sues them. Also-whoever is the cop who has lived above the office for years- you are supposed to uphold the law but you have immigrant scam artists living their dream underneath your feet you are a disgrace.

Plus the gate was left open for months this summer and I couldn't get them to respond to my messages regarding that. There's no attention given to this storage area by the management.

I had a large Uhaul and needed to have the truck unloaded and the truck returned by 11 am. I couldn't get anyone on the phone and thankfully my daughter had enough space left for my belongings to fit into her storage unit across town. I was told I would most likely not receive a refund for the $136 I was charged. I've opened a dispute with my bank and if I do not receive a refund in 3 business days I'm filing a claim in District Court for the $136. I thought Self Storage Plus was a business I could trust but I was wrong.

Today I rented a storage unit, to use it for a short while. The experience was exactly the same! Everything I said in 2015 continues to be true - even the managers are the same! The grounds were secure and the managers live close by, so access to help, if needed, is very convenient. Access to the facility off of Rt 40 was also very convenient. The managers, Ric & Layla Sitnek were clear, concise and business-like; I felt confident to leave my things in their care. It's difficult for me to compare costs to other facilities - size of unit, location of unit, type of unit & then what was available at the various local facilities made this complicated. My recommendation is to check out several before you commit. Luckily I did, and settled on Security Public Storage at 17 Western Drive.
