The actual drink did not look like the picture. It tasted okay. I tried the beignets. I must say they are good. They where nice and warm. To my surprise they had Nutella in the center. I liked them. For years we always liked to stop here on the way home from our Okeechobee adventures......never again!!!! Service has gone completely in the tank and the food is mediocre at best. Restaurant is on par with the food. Meh!! clean"ish" but not nearly as clean as you would think during COVID with all the new cleaning and sanitizing protocols, also considering that you can't eat in, so their only business is take out. Today was the last straw, I guess they know if your not a local that your getting on the road ASAP and if your food is wrong you won't be turning back to complain and get it fixed. Months after the chicken sandwich craze at Popeyes started, I finally found a Popeyes in the middle of nowhere that I decided to stop by at for the sandwich. Initially, the sandwich looked big and juicy. One bite into the sandwich and I was sadly disappointed. The breading was almost double the thickness of the actual piece of chicken and not even seasoned. If you come at peak times, the chicken is fresh and hot, and so are the biscuits. But, every time we've come through the drive-thru, something is wrong with the order, and it takes a really long time (15 minutes) to get the food. Tonight, they forgot my blackened ranch sauce, and they put gravy on my wife's mashed potatoes, even though I ordered it with no gravy, and confirmed that at the window where I paid. They have good food but bad service. Half of the times I've gone here I've left without being able to get any food. There's the exception of a few good workers and sometimes being able to get good food but for the most part there is bad customer service. A lot of the workers make it seem like they wish you weren't there or that you're a burden to them. Half of the time you go in the evening there's a chance their drive-through is closed, the whole store is closed early, or they can't make what you want. Don't come here unless you want perfectly bland chicken where all the flavor comes from the cup of sauce that they give you. Even then, the hot sauces are all salty and doesn't even balance out the blandness of the chicken. There was no "Hello!" or "Welcome to Popeyes. How can I help you?" greeting from the staff. they are just standing idly, watching the chicken sit on the racks while they were gossiping to their coworkers through their mics. A customer went through the drive through while we were there. He sat in the car for about 20 minutes waiting for his order, and when he finally got it, the staff managed to mess up his order! He had to wait another 5 minutes so they could correct it. There were no other customers but me and my husband at the time! The only good thing that came out of this trip was the tea and the biscuits.
