My friend recommended this place to me as his fav fried chicken place in KW. It's pretty good and relatively inexpensive. The chicken was moist, tender, with a nice thin batter. Side dish of cole slaw was fresh and tasty. The biscuit was terrible. They should pump it honey and deep fry it cuz it was dry and stale tasting. This restaurant was not prepared at all for today's pay day special. I arrived at the restaurant at 6:15pm, expecting a long lineup. I got just that, a lineup going around the cashiers, the front entrance door, the seating area, around nearly to the other entrance door. They took me and my friend's order around 6:40pm. Mine came out at around 7:00pm. No biggie. Then the waiting really began. All the single orders got theirs first (including mine), including those who ordered 10-20 minutes after my friend. It took my friend until around 7:35pm to finally get his order, and we were out the door by 7:40pm: 90 minutes after we initially came in. So much for fast food. Wanna know an even bigger twist? They ran out of fried chicken at around 7:20pm. Someone didn't pass Economics 101 inside! The obvious reason why was that there was no limit to how many boxes customers can order; I saw some people ordering 4+ boxes (my friend ordered 3) of chicken, and those were the people who were holding up the other customers ordering single boxes. If they limited everyone to a single box of 8 piece chicken, I don't think there would be the amount of pandemonium I experienced here today. So off with the bad stuff, and onto the good stuff: Damn the chicken was juicy! I'd take Popeyes over KFC in terms of their chicken quality any day. Was it worth the wait? We went to the drive through late Monday night as my son wanted a quick bite after his exam. It should be known that I do not like this place simply based on their unhealthy menu but since it was on the way to the highway, we agreed to allow it From the drive through window we could see an extremely messy area with garbage overflowing onto the floor and counters that were so messy. My husband pointed out the mess and the girl at the window said, "we are very busy and there are only 2 of us here". We saw 3 staff and only one table with customers.....so that big rush must have left just before we drove in When it came time to pay, the girl asks, "debit or credit?". Hubby replies, "I'll just give you cash". She looks perplexed and responds, "I don't know if we take cash, let me ask" So after we got the food and paid with cash we left and begged our son to please not eat there again. read more

My friend and I went to the drive-through late in the night around 12.10 am.I wanted a quick bite because I was really hungry. We ordered one SPicy chicken burger along with the sides of the fries. First, the person who was making the burger was coming from another end of the store by holding the chicken patty in her hand. When she gave us the order it was full of foul smell. As soon as I took the bite of the burger it was the worst bite I ever had. The burger given to us was stale and it felt as if I am having a bite full of oil. The chicken and the fries gave to us were stale and was leaking oil. The burger was the worst we can ever have. We literally threw the chicken and fries in the dump because it was the car was filled with the foul smell of oil and chicken and fires. The chicken here isn't the best. The chicken is a pool of grease and and the fries are so dang crispy and the biscuits are as good as expected. Most of my experiences their isn't good. The staff working there are sketchy as heck and they run out of chicken breasts. The place is not good but wouldn't say its the worst. I just don't recommend it. read more

I've been going to this store for the last 4 years. But I'm extremely disappointed with the service I got yesterday. I got to the store at 9:45, an hour and 15 mins before closing. I went to place an order around 10, and was told I couldn't use coupons on my phone. So, I ordered 2 sandwiches and a popcorn chicken box. They informed me that they don't have any more popcorn chicken or sandwiches. There was a huge pile of pieces of fried chicken behind the counter, and it looked like that's all that was going to go out for the next hour. Along with not preparing food, I got a lot of sass and attitude from the staff. It seems like they do not want to participate in deals that Popeyes as a franchise advertises. The $6.49 boneless wing bash is something I wanted to get, yet they mention it was "out of stock". I came back the next day, and I overhead some other people complaining how they also came back another day, and apparently it was still out of stock again. I asked the cashier and she brought the manager, and apparently the "deal has expired". This place is a dump. I spent 20 minutes in the drive thru waiting for my butterfly shrimp combo when there were no cars in front of me. The cashier was unclear and not knowledgeable whatsoever over the speaker and when we got to the window she didn't even know what to say. I should have known to check my bag before I even left based on the already poor service but I waited til I was too far away to open my food to find out that they didn't give me my cocktail sauce that I asked for 2 times. Their chicken is always juicy and tender with a satisfyingly crunchy breading. The chicken is great quality and great tasting but can be a bit greasy. The manager is very friendly and has great customer service but that can't be said for all of the employees. The wait times can be long but it is worth the wait. read more
