It was a perfect start to the meal. Unfortunately the corn, bacon and crab cakes were a bit lacking in flavor. They were nicely crispy, but you didn't taste much of the corn, bacon or crab flavor. All filler and not much substance. For entrees we had the Housemade Meatloaf and the Rocky Mountain Game Trio. The meatloaf was wrapped in bacon and was very moist and tasty. The accompaniment of mashed potatoes were a bit on the dry side and could have used more butter and cream. The Rocky Mountain Game Trio was an entree of seared bison, elk, & venison medallions, wild mushroom risotto with a port & lingon berry glace and seasonal vegetables. This was an amazing dish. The meats were all cooked perfectly and were so very tender. I liked the bison and elk the best, but the venison was nice as well. The only issue I had with this dish was that the risotto was undercooked. The amazing glace made up for it and I saw that I had still finished my entire plate even with the undercooked rice. Highly recommended dish on their menu and a must try. Service was friendly and prompt and prices are reasonable. Definitely a great option if staying in the Lake Louise area!
