TV didn't do the place justice. It is huge! And clearly a manufacturer first and gift shop second. They seem to specialize in chocolate, but had taffy, brittle and lot's of other goodies. My wife is diabetic, so the large sugar free section is especially appreciated. All of the manufacturing was fascinating. I wish I had visited on a weekday when the plant was in full production. I always am looking for local businesses like this when giving gifts to out of state family and friends. Cerreta's is perfect for this. Hmmm. Maybe a state 48 shaped chocolate bar? Yep, that was fun! They even gave us a free piece of candy on the way out. Definitely a memorable place to take visitors.

The young ladies working were very helpful and so nice. They said we could sample the taffy before we buy it. And we did. The taffy was good. I don't care for one and that was just preference, I don't like cinnamon (red hot kind). They weren't making any candy this day but it was a holiday weekend. They have tours and candy kits to take home as well. It's very clean and payed out well. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you are looking for gifts. We'll keep it in mind when we need something unique and of course the taffy.

My boyfriend and I were craving some candy so we stopped in here to look around. We were the only…read morecustomers in the store, likely because it was a week night, and the two employees working made a point to greet us and ask if we needed any help. At first I figured that was fine, very normal for any retail store, but it became excessive. As we were looking around they were consistently staring at us, making little comments, maybe it was an attempt at banter but we honestly just wanted to browze and it was becoming obnoxious and intrusive. These girls would not read the room and it started getting to a point where I didn't even want to comment on anything because I was living in fear of what might be said in rejoinder. Finally one of the girls started sort of minding her business behind the counter, but the other stood posted up against the wall eating a bag of doritos and staring us down. She had this odd, smug little smile on her face, and still continued to make comments or ask if we needed help. It's candy...it's pretty straight forward...if we need help we'll inquire. Eventually it got to a point where despite having found several products we were interested in, the demeanor and the vibes were so offputting that we literally walked out. I have no idea what was going on but that was the oddest experience I have ever had in a candy store...probably just gonna stick to other options from now on...

She said she was in another state due to a family emergency. This of course happens to everyone and is more than an understandable reason to be unable to deliver on an order... but the fact that she did not notify me or cancel my order left my scrambling to replace my order locally. Lack of clear communication (or rather no communication at all) left me really upset and in a difficult spot for my event.

We got a custom box and she was very impatient and aggressive while we chose our chocolate. She told us one price for the box, but it was $6 more at the register. I asked about it and got snapped at again when she could've told us the price varies to begin with. Then, after she rung me up, she dropped the box and half of it fell on the ground.
