Poppell Farms was our go to for the 2019 Pumpkin patch season. Our toddler had a lot of fun jumping on the outdoor trampoline, picking a pumpkin and doing the kiddie train ride. We played a lot of outdoor activities - it was a hot day and not too crowded. Sadly Poppell was a no go for the 2020 pumpkin season, but we still took advantage of them for Christmas trees! We got a tree and a wreath! Trees come in varying sizes. They have different colored tags to denote how tall the tree is. Their wreaths come in different sizes too! Your kids will love this experience because of all of the activities. They had 2 giant jumping balloons (like 20 yards wide and 30 yards long) for kids 6 and over and then the other one for kids 6 and under. A few of the things we enjoyed were the pony ride ($7) for our toddler, the cow ride, their muscadine apple cider, the ride out to the pumpkin patch, and of course the petting farm. The petting farm gives you the opportunity to feed the animals in their stalls, which little kids love. And adults. They have a lot of little activities/play areas for kids here. I would say they had around 20+ activities total, to include music, food, a fishing area, and pumpkin patches. The pumpkin patch isn't your traditional pumpkin patch, but all of the pumpkins are included in the $15 price. It's 1x pumpkin per wrist band and the pumpkins are small to medium sized. The farm takes a bunch of pumpkins and puts them out in a field. This is likely safer though, because of snakes, spiders, and who knows what else that lurks in pumpkin patches in the country. We didn't get a chance to do the haunted trail for an extra $5, but I bet it's a lot of fun. The weather was a perfect 72 degrees up until 1 o'clock and then the sun turned on. Getting there at 10AM when it opens is definitely worth it. read more

We visited Poppell Farms today for the first time. We were very impressed with the variety of petting farms animals, games, rides, etc. They had plenty of restroom options that were clean (including one with a baby changing station which was nice). One thing that really stood out was that they were very safety conscious. You could tell that safety is their first priority. The staff were very courteous and it seemed like there was a staff member everywhere you turned. The only reason I didn't give our visit 5 stars was because the "pumpkin patch" was very disappointing. We had driven 1.5hr to get here with the main purpose of wanting our kids to have the experience of a hayride to an actual pumpkin patch. Instead, we waited 45min in line for the hayride that ended at a grass field (not pumpkin patch) with only small pumpkins (that were not big enough to carve). They did have full size pumpkins of various sizes and price points in the main event area back at the farm entrance, but we were expecting a place where pumpkins could be picked off the vine. For this reason, I'm not sure we'd return but I do want all the other great aspects noted because they were so well done. read more

Such a great place for the family! From field trips with school to girl scout day, they offer great memories. In the weekends in October they offer the corn maze and haunted trail and you get to pick a free small pumpkin at the pumpkin patch with each paid admission. My girls love the play area and animals. You can find honey sticks and delicious ice cold apple cider in the gift shop and when you get hungry you can just step over to the calf-a for a bit to eat! If you have little ones, this is a must do!!! read more

Over the past 2 years of coming here one thing that's never changed are the staff, they are so friendly. I'd say the farm games are great and they have things for all ages. Coming from the northwest I'm used to chilly, wet/ muddy pumpkin patches with huge pumpkins being grown on the premise however this is Georgia so I get they have to improvise. But they do a great job, they take you out on a hayride to pick out your own pumpkin and unlike the northwest here you get a small pumpkin for free with your trip to the pumpkin patch. They truly give you the fall feeling even in 80-90 degree weather. This place is a great way to start your families fall festivities, you'll be sure to have a great time. The only downside is it is a bit pricey, especially the concessions, $2 for a bottle of water- you're better off bringing your own and the maze is confusing and a waste of money. read more

Fantastic pumpkin patch... worth the hour drive from Richmond Hill. $8/pp (ages 4 and up). 10 acre corn maze an addt'l $8/pp. Very well run... free bounce houses, hay rides, petting zoo, games, 2 giant trampolines, picnic tables, free pumpkin for everyone, etc. Food available too. We are here in Halloween Saturday - we thought it would be too busy, but it's not. Plenty of room to spread out. Babies to teens are all having a great time here. read more

I don't know about the rest of the year but this local attraction is an amazing stop during the fall and Halloween holidays. Super kids oriented and friendly . A lot of imagination and time has been spent to make this a family memory. read more

I have been coming here for years with my family of 4 & each year gets even better! There is so much to do for all ages so everyone has fun. They have hayrides to the pumpkin patch where you get to pick out small pumpkins, take pictures & meet Charlie Brown, Linus & all of the other characters. They also have a corn maze, face painting, a lot of games, bounce houses, a variety of food, drinks & even a country store to buy bigger pumpkins, kids drinks in cute little pumpkins, jellies, honey & shirts.
