I looked at what I could get for the kiddies. I saw an alligator claw, sling shot and wooden gun shape rubber band shooter but I feared he might use it on his sister so I bought a safe tic tac toe board with pieces for him. Today was the official launch! - Parking - Parking lot of Magnolia Manor. - Where - The vendors were set up on the portion of the parking lot parallel to Timber Trail. - When - May to November Third Saturday of the month 9am to 1pm Rain or shine - Who - The vendors are a mix of local farmers, home based businesses like handmade soaps, baked goods, crafts, jewelry, ceramic pottery and painter. There was even a local Boy Scouts chapter offering pretzels. Some vendors of interest: Bell Family Raw Honey - Richmond Hill Jones Creek Farm - Midway Beasley Ceramics - Richmond Hill Swallowtail Pines - Richmond Hill - fresh eggs, wool dryer balls, fresh rabbit Genesis Moon Soaps - Richmond Hill My finds: Cottage Chef - Richmond Hill - brownies were dense and moist! Carico Farms - Darien - Aquaponic and Hydroponic - bought some yellow jumbo cherry tomatoes and a live basil plant. Let's see if I can keep it alive. I've killed bamboo. I know... shhhhhhhh. We played a lot of outdoor activities - it was a hot day and not too crowded. Sadly Poppell was a no go for the 2020 pumpkin season, but we still took advantage of them for Christmas trees! We got a tree and a wreath! Trees come in varying sizes. They have different colored tags to denote how tall the tree is. Their wreaths come in different sizes too! The petting farm gives you the opportunity to feed the animals in their stalls, which little kids love. And adults. They have a lot of little activities/play areas for kids here. I would say they had around 20+ activities total, to include music, food, a fishing area, and pumpkin patches. The pumpkin patch isn't your traditional pumpkin patch, but all of the pumpkins are included in the $15 price. It's 1x pumpkin per wrist band and the pumpkins are small to medium sized. The farm takes a bunch of pumpkins and puts them out in a field. This is likely safer though, because of snakes, spiders, and who knows what else that lurks in pumpkin patches in the country. We didn't get a chance to do the haunted trail for an extra $5, but I bet it's a lot of fun. The weather was a perfect 72 degrees up until 1 o'clock and then the sun turned on. Getting there at 10AM when it opens is definitely worth it.

I was genuinely surprised by how small the serving was--I've visited many ice cream shops in different places and have never received a scoop this small. The quality of the ice cream was excellent, which makes the experience even more disappointing. With better communication during the ordering process and more reasonable portion sizes, this could be a great place to visit.
